If you're thinking of ordering from this company... don't! (For context, this is the first negative review I have ever left, but I do not want others to go through what I am going through) I ordered two fans on July 4 and only received one. I've contacted them over 25 times via phone, email, and social media. Each time, I get the same empty promise from Robin or their Instagram account--that the missing fan is "in transit" and they'll send me a tracking number. As of August 26, I still have not received the fan, a refund, or any meaningful response. They simply do not call back or reply to emails. I've been patient, but at this point, they've taken my money and failed to deliver. Save yourself the frustration--do NOT order from this company. read more

I counted 5-6 employees, 3 of whom were sitting behind the front counter chatting and not a single one spoke to or even acknowledged us. Unfortunately, I then watched them greet another couple. And I can't help but wonder what made them different or worthy. That's my way of saying that there is a visible difference between that couple vs. my husband and me. Michelle Patrick sold us 3 pendants without explaining it needs a RapidJack canopy. She misrepresented the lights and now she does not allow these unused pendants to be returned. She says we are stuck with them. She recently sold us more than $2K of fixtures, she called us that everything is ready for pickup. When we arrived, she did not have a light fixture boxed up for pick up. We waited for 1 hour. We shopped at Progressive Lightning because we want a higher service performance. At this rate we may as well go to a big box store. One of 5 ceiling fans is defective according to our electrician. She now says once we hung it, we can only get an exchange. We cannot get a refund. I wonder how one knows a ceiling fan is defective unless it was installed on the ceiling? We have easily spent $10K with Progressive Lighting. We will never do business with them again. Beware of their return policy. (You can return most items within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in their original packaging and condition (items can't be installed or altered) to be accepted.) I saw some great options for my dining room and the salesperson I worked with gave me some other great suggestion for some complimentary fixtures for the foyer. I highly recommend this store. I ordered lights on Sep 10, 2022, today is Sep 20, 2022 and no one has called me to tell me if my lights were in. I called today, and a very rude lady could not find my order in the system based on my phone number. Then after giving her my sales order # she informed me that my phone number was incorrect in their system. Then she tried to page the sales person and could not get her. I then asked her if she could put the correct number in the system, and she said, no, I will leave a message for your sales rep to change it. If the sales rep does not get her text message she will not be able to call me back. read more

Thanks to Progressive Lighting, selecting the lighting for our new home has taken on a life of its own. Our lighting allowance was with Progressive, so that's how we ended up here. I visited the store five times before I felt like everything was right: the salesperson we were assigned to wasn't very familiar with our layout even though she had the floor plan in her possession. She could never recall what we had chosen or provide very complete answers to our questions. You're probably thinking, well Laura, why didn't you just choose the lights and move on? You would be amazed (well I was, anyway) at how many lights, fans, smoke detectors, etc. you need in one house. If you want to pass code, then you can't just leave a few lights out here and there. And that's why you need to be able to trust the professional-- why not get it right the first time? Our lighting is in the process of being installed, and I've already noticed that some random lights have gone in. I'm not quite sure how our order was incorrect after so many visits to the store, but I will be happy if I never have to visit Progessive again. read more

Big showroom of all types of lighting, including what I was looking for- a low-key chandelier to go above my dining table. Huge discounts and deals...I couldn't believe the deal I was getting during their red tag sale. The salesperson was a little clueless about getting information about the light that wasn't already on the box...I don't expect him to know about all the lights that were in the store off the top of his head, but he should be able to pull it up on the computer at least. He disappeared in the back room for several minutes, and came back with no additional information. (Not really a fault of the store- the instructions for the installation of the light was a little complicated, probably due to the fact that I am not familiar with light installation) The chandelier looks great over my table- good thing too, b/c with the clearance prices on final sale, I can't return it! read more

The Progressive Lighting Outlet on Plant Atkinson Rd in Vinings is a true hidden gem. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I was so glad when this location opened just as I was renovating our new home. The manager, Summer is so helpful. She makes shopping there so easy and enjoyable. She even informed me of their upcoming annual sale. When making decisions regarding the placement or finish of fixtures, Summer and Mary, the lighting specialist, offered great advice. They eagerly assisted me and didn't rush me as I returned to the location several times before making a purchase. Each time I enter I'm greeted warmly and invited to browse the showroom. I have transformed our place with all the beautiful lights we purchased from Progressive thanks to Summer and Mary. read more

I came in today 06/11/2019 @ 3p.m. with plans on renovating my whole house. No one asked me if I needed any help. The store wasn't busy at all. Actually i was the only customer with my partner. There were 4 associates at the side desk that looked like the customer care/credit area. The black lady at the front desk greeted us in a very dry persona as if she didn't want to be there. I'm going to go back to Progressive lighting and shop at another location. I just couldn't imagine allowing anyone at this location to make commission off of the money I wanted to spend today. I have been to Progressive Lighting twice. The first time, we were just looking but everything seemed out of our price range. They have a lot of very expensive items there and if there's not a sale, it just seems like too much. Don't get me wrong, they have some beautiful items, but a lot of it looks very high end for people who are just outfitting their starter home, as we were. The second time we came with a Groupon. We were so excited to see this deal because we hoped it would make something there more affordable for us. The lady at the front desk was really nice and answered our questions about using it with a sale. We picked out 2 very cute table lamps that also happened to be BOGO, and she said we could use the Groupon with the sale, no problem! The way this place works is that the lady at the front desk had to call over a "consultant" to sell us the lamps. Our lady was nice enough; she said we'd have to take the floor display, but we didn't mind. Then we showed her the Groupon, and she started complaining about "all these Groupons showing up on a Saturday" and how she "doesn't make any commission" off of them, blah, blah. It was totally embarrassing and the other woman at the counter using her Groupon started apologizing. I am sorry ,but I am not apologizing for using the sale that the store put out there! The commission thing should've been addressed within the company, not complained about to the customer! She then told us that we could just "grab the lamps on our way out; we don't have any packaging." Really? If I had just spent the tag price on those lamps, nearly $200, would you have told me to "grab" them on the way out and not given me anything to wrap them in?? So we walked over, struggled to unplug them from the display, and carried our 75% off lamps out the door. I was very happy with what we got, and the great deal. But the point of Groupons and other deal websites are to get customers in the door, and then give great service/products so they'll come back and spend full price. As people who will definitely need to buy more lighting in the future, and whose budget will increase over time, we could've been life-long customers. Instead, we won't be back. Very sad. read more

Thank goodness they have a very personable, polite, and friendly young man named Tyler in the warehouse! He is the reason we would shop there again. We did have an associate in the showroom, but she must have figured we were not going to be spending a lot of money since we asked for one fan on sale. We did not get the friendly smile or a come back to see us the whole time. Tyler made us feel welcome, loaded the fan, even tried to figure out a problem we had with the van seats that would not go down. Tyler needs to be running the place. read more
