My floors look new, and now closely match the color to the connecting hallway. Everything is cohesive. Regrettably, I made the mistake of hiring my contractor (now former!) to previously refinish the same four floors. They made a mess. Fast forward, this team fixed the rough spots and welts, and, left nothing underneath the poly (e.g., brush hair, knee pad prints, etc.). AJ is a testament to flooring being a specialty, just as plumbing and electrical are. (Tip: All flooring services charge for moving furniture, as I discovered while getting initial quotes. So if you want to save a few hundred dollars, have family and friends help you move furniture before and after the refinishing job.) I personally will use this team going forward for my flooring needs.

Living in the city- a rowhouse- we were getting some outrageous quotes. We wanted more of a family owned business and I'm glad my aunt directed me here. I went in, described my stairs and had a picture - took a sample home and within a week Bryson came out to measure. He was personable, efficient, honest- a much different experience than the first quote from the shop in Needham. We scheduled for installation at my convenience and though it did take the whole day (which makes sense due to our stairs etc.) the guy who came to do it was also incredibly personable. Made the whole experience great and the rugs came out exactly how my husband and I had hoped. We're considering doing rugs in our kids room and will absolutely be back to General Flooring. Price is right. Great quality. Professional throughout the entire process from first conversation to the clean up after installation. Most importantly- very family-oriented, honest, and kind guys running this place. Thanks for a great experience, General Flooring!

Everyone worked hard - from the time they walked in until the time they left. The quote was great and inside the budget we'd allowed and we got a ton more than we expected - broken boards replaced, boards that had been replaced with the wrong wood were removed and redone with the correct, matching wood, a couple of boards that didn't lay completely flat were repaired, and so on. But the finished floors were the star of the show! The floors look new. Not repaired, not improved - NEW. We have a long house, and you can see a huge expanse of wooden flooring from one end to the other, and the effect is now gorgeous. We are entirely happy and we got exactly what we'd hoped for.
