Jeff, the owner, is a super cool guy. he's the kind that makes you want to shop local. he greets you with a smile, remembers your name (after one short visit too), gives you ideas and honest opinion, lets you borrow samples without anything down, even gives you a good discount if he likes you! LOL you'd think his store was small but it carries a lot of the same stuff we saw elsewhere: not having the option to 300 different kinds of subway tiles also worked to my advantage - now i could finally finalize on one. when i showed him a picture with the product code from something i saw in home depot, he offered to order in for me and matching the price (so i didn't have to go two places for everything), except there were problems for him to get the shipment somehow so we ended up going back to HD -- they had a problem with shipment too. so yeah he did give us a break on the pricing (maybe bc our order was pretty sizable?), but that's not the only reason why i gave him a 5-star rating. like said earlier, Jeff is easy to talk to and is very helpful along the process; we even started chatting about his children and stuff... the human connection that you don't get at a big box store, and he's not all about making profits. he saved my phone number in his system so even when I called weeks later, he could greet me by my name, AND he remembers what kind of products I've ordered. pricing is also very compatible to bigger establishments - another reason i used to be wary of shopping local but he's quite negotiable. he owns the business and has been there too long, so he is pretty much at a "whatever goes" stage...also why i said call before you head over if you want to take advantage of their "late closing" hours on a certain day - he may just close early to go fishing if nothing's going on by a certain time, as he revealed. maybe he took a liking on us so he was cool with us, but i would bet that if you don't show up with a stick up your arse, you would get the same treatment too. p.s. he has also hinted that he might want to retire soon (maybe in a couple years?), so get to know this guy before he closes for good!

It included color sealing a tiled kitchen counter with extremely stained grout that could not be cleaned. Also color sealing three floors and two tiled bay windows. Everything is completely transformed. It's early days, but even the countertop has been easy to maintain despite the insults of a busy kitchen. We had one glitch. The technician applied samples of several colors to each part of the job. The one I picked for one of the floors looked very unattractive to me once it was applied to the entire floor. It wasn't Sir Grout's fault, but Chris worked with me to find a very fair solution. By the time the technician left the floor looked great. I also showed Chris a fully tiled bathroom. Aside from the floor, which we did color seal, Chris recommended skipping that room since it is in such good shape and showers can get expensive. It is refreshing to find a company that does not oversell. I think that Chris takes a very long term view of his company and values loyal customers over short term revenue. So I can highly recommend Sir Grout!
