He arrived Saturday morning and had some difficulty figuring out what was wrong, unfortunately by then our co2 reliefs were venting. He was on the phone most of the time while here. In the end he told us to call a refrigeration contractor in Wilmington Ma. That did the trick. The technician from ARC was excellent. He diagnosed the issue immediately and got us running again. Just goes to show you that you get what you pay for. You might be tempted to call a cheap guy that is working out of a pickup truck, but when things get bad you need to call a real contractor. Still need to talk to Smith Mechanical over a billing issue, he seems to of charged us for the time the other contractor worked on the job, plus his time, and we paid the other contractor directly.

We…read moreused Matt to move things out of our house to have floors refinished and that went well (although I found it odd that they helped themselves to the moving boxes I had just purchased to put under the furniture in the garage, rendering them useless). Then we arranged a date to move back in and one of the movers texted Matt to confirm the date of the second move. 3 days before that move Matt called to say he could not do it that day and denied ever confirming it (and my husband saw his mover text him). Frustrating - esp since Matt told us that we should have contacted him directly (his mover should not have handled it in that case). Then we set up a move to Fla and Cape Cod. On June 13 we discussed moving July 19 and he said he could do that date. 3 days later we got an email with different dates. When we called him, he denied ever saying he could move us on the 19th. He insisted he told us this but neither my husband or I heard him say that (and since we could not do the dates he claims to have proposed, we would have objected on the spot). He was referred by our realtor. We called our realtor to inform him of the situation and our realtor said he also had a few miscommunication issues with Matt and will no longer be using or referring him.

They state that if you ask for inspections on your new build, which they recommend you do, they will provide them and review them with you. But they will not, in fact they will lie to you about the inspections. If you select a finish or material that they layer cannot provide they will substitute whatever they want without asking you, the buyer. Their co tract states they cannot do that, but they will. Their contract states that the purchaser is protected, if Britton fails to comply with the contract they will refund all monies. But when the purchaser calls in them for failure to perform, they will lie and tell you they do not refund money in any circumstance. Especially do not buy in Star Trail in Prosper. Allen Grome had a lack of communication and follow through after he got the job. There were numerous mistakes and issues, from structural mistakes to poor scheduling to not ordering required supplies in a timely manner - which all lead to delays and overages - there were too many issues to put into this review. However, pictures don't lie. So take a look at the quality of their work and decide for yourself. Additionally, their contracts are very vague and high level, they are not detailed, so there is plausible deniability on their part. Buyer beware! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In response to the comment by AG Remodeling, Allen Grome: In his response to our review, he goes on about how the inspections passed, and how much scheduling there was but he doesn't acknowledge or accept responsibility for the mistakes, problems and poor quality of the finish work. This is an especially important point, because when you spend a lot of money on your home, you want it to look beautiful and be done right. I don't know why AG Remodeling would be surprised at the low rating they received from us, they shouldn't have been. We had many discussions during the course of the project and Allen knew we were not happy. We consistently asked for more communication throughout the project, but rarely got it. The pictures that we attached to the review were accurately documented at the end of the project. The wall corners that are not square, the mirrors that are not straight or square, the knicked baseboard that was painted and left in place and the poorly joined baseboards would never be considered "punch list items". These are examples of a crew that doesn't put in the effort to properly do a quality job the first time around. If they had come back to correct them at the end of the project, they would've had to tear up our house again, and we had serious concerns whether it would ever be done right. We had several conversations with Allen about these issues and he never once acknowledged any of our concerns. We gave them one opportunity to fix the "punch list items", and the picture of how they filled in the nail holes was a result of "nail holes that were not filled". They wanted to sand the joined baseboard molding in order to make it look better, more even. We insisted that it be replaced. At that point, we lost confidence in their ability to properly fix the "punch list items" and told them to just leave as we were fed up. This was also told to Allen, so again, the review shouldn't have been a surprise.
