Ian took the time to talk on the phone when I first reached out about the project and the scope of work. He even reviewed some drawings I had done of the space and pointed out some things to think about for the layout (such as if we moved the fridge, we'd have to make sure we could access a water line for the ice maker). I decided to go with Roof Kings because based off of four criteria: 1. Quality installation 2. Equipment 3. Warranty and coverage 4. Price Roof Kings installed hundreds of homes and are one of the largest roofers in the city with over 20 years of professional roofing experience. They also provided high quality shingles, presented me with multiple types, and let me choose what I thought to be the best value and quality. They were also able to do the roof quick, within a week and the job would have taken 1-2 days max, which was important to me. Price wise, they were not the cheapest (due to all the insurance the company holds being general liability, workers comp, auto.) but they were not the most expensive. Right in the middle. Honestly, I probably would have chosen them even if they were the most expensive. I felt comfortable when talking to the owner about his background and experience and felt that he was most knowledgeable and competent to do the job. More importantly, I had an issue with a small are near my window a year after the installation. The owner immediately came over, and within a couple of weeks, remedied the issue at no cost to me. How you service me after I give you my money... that's something we don't know tis something happens. The last thing I want, is for a contractor to win the business and then dodge my call when I need service done. This showed that they stand by their word and warranty. Service couldn't better!

It was later discovered that they had failed to properly install the original drainage system back, because the rainwater stayed on the roof and couldn't be drained away. It used cheap glue, perhaps because the canal was submerged in water for a long time and started to loose after two years. At the beginning there were only two or three places, but later there were more and more loose and later, bubbles began to appear in many places. It turns out that the entire new replacement was not built to standard. It's very difficult for ordinary people like us to notice. Therefore, you need to consider this before choosing them.

He was on time, did excellent work from an impressive setup, stayed in the estimate and was just an all-around nice guy.
