When we remodeled our master bath three years ago, we wanted to use framed mirrors painted the same color as the cabinets. We went to Masterpiece Framing and worked with Matt to create two custom framed mirrors that matched both the cabinets perfectly and the style of the bathroom. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the price was very reasonable. We were delighted that we had chosen Masterpiece Framing to do this work. The following year, we remodeled our other bathroom and again used Masterpiece to make a custom mirror for it. Once again, Matt did an outstanding job in a short amount of time and for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, two years after the original master bath remodel, the floor and shower tiles were coming loose to such an extent that we had to replace all the tile in the bathroom, which was a huge and expensive project. When it came time to paint the bathroom, we did not want the contractors to remove the mirrors, as we did not want them damaged. I called Matt and asked him to remove and rehang the mirrors when they finished the painting. He readily agreed, removed the mirrors, wrapped them securely and came back to rehang them when the paint was dry. I asked him to charge us to do this work, and he refused. I cannot say enough about the quality of Matt's workmanship and his customer service! read more

I recently tried to get a wedding photo printed on canvas and framed at a shop, downtown Chicago and although it had good Yelp reviews, I had a very disappointing experience. The color was way off and the frame was nothing to write home about. They attempted to correct the color numerous times, but to no avail. On my way home, frustrated, I asked SIRI (my iPhone friend) for a local place that prints to canvas, which named Masterpiece Framing. I called immediately. Not only were they patient with hearing my story, they solved my problems without hesitation. I brought the file to Matt, the owner, and within minutes he had the image corrected, gave helpful suggestions for proper mounting and even offered to let me take the test prints and frame samples home with me to see which I liked most in my room. He was artistic in his vision and thorough in his explanations. I haven't seen the finished product yet but I can only imagine it will certainly be the "statement piece" I was hoping for!! While visiting the store, I noticed they have some really well-done photo restorations showcased! I imagine some of my childhood pictures coming back to life! Hands down I would use Masterpiece Framing for whatever custom framing I want done in the future. I couldn't be happier with the work I had done. I had a picture that my father had hanging for years in his house, the frame was fairly cheap and beat up from multiple moves. Matt and Christine are wonderful! I wanted to frame a ceramic tile that my daughter made my husband and I for Christmas. Because it was thick, it wasn't something that could go in a regular frame. Matt Puchalski, at Masterpiece Framing, worked with me to enlarge some photos that I took on a trip to Ireland with my Cannon camera. I had printed out the three photos on my Cannon color printer at home, but Matt was able to perform some computer enhancements, so that the colors really popped. The three photos that I printed at home were too small for the mantle. Matt was able to customize the size so that I was still able to fit all three pieces, along with some accessories on the mantle. The result was really wonderful. Masterpiece Framing is a small, local business, and I could have gone to a big box store and perhaps paid less, but I truly believe that Matt was able to work with me to obtain the best result possible within my budget.
