Even though this hobby lobby is not the one I used to go to all the time (Lombard) and it's set up different it is clean and well stocked. Employees are friendly and store is clean. It's very hard to just go in for 1 thing like what I did as I needed just a little bottle of paint and of course the items you buy over and over again (like milk in a grocery store). Is always in the back so that you have to walk past a lot of things you don't need but catch your eye and you now want and convince your self you need. Probably a good thing I have a small house because there is a ton I need (want) at hobby lobby but don't have the space.

Yarn bee: first love: blueberry hill. $5.99 regular price, $3.87 with 40% off coupon and tax. Using it to crochet a blanket!

I recently visited this store when I was in the area. I normally buy art supplies in their…read moreSchaumburg store. To my surprise, I saw they carried different stock than my usual store. I ended up buying all sorts of goodies. I asked, and was told that the stores carry different stock based on local demand. In this case, they are close to College of DuPage, and carry items needed in classes there. I saw everything I normally see in Schaumburg, and more. Maybe less framing, but then I don't go to an art SUPPLY store for frames. Compared to the Schaumburg store, they carry a very good selection of pottery tools and glazes. Like a whole aisle full! Since I am taking pottery, this was a very fortuitous stop. I found the staff very helpful. When I had a technical question about a glaze, they tracked down someone who could answer my question.

I'm 60, a painter with a BFA from SAIC, have been an artist for 40+ years. I came to this store to…read morere-up my entire palette of Golden fluid acrylics and maybe pick up some of the new OPEN acrylics while I was at it. We were first stopped just inside the door by one friendly associate who welcomed/greeted us and recited a long menu of store specials and their back to school sale, and if we need help she's right over there at the counter for us. We were like, ok, got it, thanks! I knew what I needed and just wanted to see the colors I was buying in person, so I start shopping. Less than a minute later here's another associate, another WELCOME here's ALL our sales and our BACK TO SCHOOL SALE and if you need ANYTHING we're right over HERE by the counter! Okay, I said, thank you, that's great. I smiled and again I tried to start shopping. Another thirty seconds and here's another associate who gives me, AGAIN, the welcome/sales sales sales/we're over HERE by the cash register if you need anything! (Where ELSE am I going to go look for assistance? The deli next door at Whole Foods?) Unable to concentrate on selecting my paints, I went to give my husband the three things I had managed to pick up and was stopped by another associate who gave us both the same sales speech AGAIN. It was as though the entire shift was actively preventing me from finding the materials I was there, cash in pocket, struggling to buy. Yes, I did start getting terse and snippy when I was just repeatedly approached with the very same canned spam sales pitch by multiple ridiculously aggressive associates, because it was incredibly annoying. Maybe they thought I was shoplifting? One associate who had already given us the sales speech and apparently taken offense at my manner then approached me when I was by myself (of course) still trying to look at the Goldens. In a voice dripping with contempt, they slowly and deliberately gave me the same speech yet again. That's not creepy or confrontational, is it. Refusing to make eye contact with them, I squinted at the tube in my hands and said again, great, thanks, got it. We were in the store for maybe five minutes, seriously, for all of that. The contemptuous confrontational person came to the door while I was outside waiting for my husband, and stood with phone in hand, watching me with a little smile, seemingly texting. So on top of all that I'm sure I'm the new Karen on some sad social media site somewhere. And then we drove to the Schaumburg Blick, which is awesome with associates who are allowed to speak normally to customers and let them shop, and I bought all the rest of my paint there.

TL, DR: Great fabric, good deals at times, but holy cranky salespeeps!…read more I wanted to place a Special Order for 9 yds of fabric since they didn't have enough in-store. I was told by the associate at the cutting area to go to Customer Service to have the order placed, so I did... and was verbally reprimanded by a cashier, who told me to go to the registers. When I got up there I was helped by the cashier next to her. When the fabric rang up, it didn't come up at the 50% off price (regularly $20/yd). I let the cashier know, and she worked on a price check/ fixing it, but that first cashier was pretty gruff and seemed to not believe me about the price. She also went on a tangent about the cutting lady sending me to Customer Service.. Today I picked up said fabric. I needed the 9 yards cut into 3 yards of 3. The employee retrieved two rolls of fabric, which concerned me since I didn't see how 9 yards of fabric would be divided amongst the 2 rolls. (Certainly there would be a remainder??) I asked her about it, but she looked at me like I had two heads. I told her to go ahead with the cut, since she must know better than me. She stopped again midway through and questioned me again. Since she apparently didn't understand my question at first, PLUS gave me the sh!t look, I repeated that she's the expert. I hoped for the best. Apparently when special orders are placed, they send a bunch more fabric along, so it all worked out fine. She cut 2 sections of 3 yards (= 6 yards) from one roll and one 3-yard piece from the second. Still, honest question, right? I'm no craft store/fabric-buying regular. I could have done without the smarmy attitudes and looks. Cost of my 9 yards of fabric WITH THE 20% discount (see pic) was $77. Not too shabby for what I hope will be a great look in my place. 4 stars for the fabric and price, 2 for customer service with an attitude.

Just came here tonight with a couple of friends, and we stayed for more than 2 hours because there…read morewas SO much to look at! We really loved this place and had a great experience! Upon walking in, you see tons off different boutiques sectioned off into different areas. There are handcrafted crafts and gifts from all different vendors, and no matter who you are, you're bound to find something you like, including candles, clothes, sports, food, jewelry, home decor, etc. Prices vary by product and vendor, so of course some vendors will be more expensive than others. Some even sell name-brands like Marc Jacobs. For the most part, I think prices were pretty fair! Not only were the products great, but so were the workers. One of the men who was stocking found out that I love penguins, so he was showing me penguin-themed items. He was nice, and we all kept laughing. Also, when we were checking out, both cashiers were extremely personable. One checked us out, and the other wrapped some of the more fragile items, which I appreciated. The cashier who checked us out absolutely loved us and had a great conversation with us about how we all had so much in common with her. When it comes to location, the building is within a strip mall, and they have tons of parking and other popular shops around. Overall, my friends and I all said we would for sure return to the store! Apparently, vendors normally update their booths every few weeks unless they're out of state, so we will definitely come back soon to see the new stock. Since it is Christmas time, the store was FULL of Christmas and holiday decor. I loved the atmosphere because of this! There were a few bare booths where no vendors were anymore, so it seems as though a couple of vendors left. *If you're an entrepreneur, I'd definitely look into a booth here!*

There is an eclectic selection of goods being sold and is a nice place to browse, as long as you are not looking for anything specific. The negative aspect is that there were many vacant booths/spaces.
