We have had several paintings framed here and have never been disappointed. We recently took an oil painting from my Grandparents' to be reframed. We do not know the entire history of the paintings, but we do know they are over 60 year old. Each time we worked with Chris and he listened to what we wanted and helped us find the right frame. He did not rush us through the process, nor does he push his recommendations on you . He gave us the time to make a decision and understand our style. He helped us select frames that brought out the colors in the paintings. This review is slightly overdue. I first used the Framers Edge a year ago to frame a painting I purchased while traveling. They did an excellent job of helping me work within my budget and the finished project was great. They stretched the canvas, framed it beautifully, and even left it open in the back so that the oils could continue to dry throughout its life. I recently moved and wanted to get a few newer pieces framed. Again, I couldn't be happier with the results. I found the right frames and theft held me consider something new: the right glass. I had four pieces and two of them were framed using art glass. In the picture you can see how much it mitigates the reflection of light sources around it and allows for amazing detail to be seen. It was such a great choice on these two prints. The other two I was a little bit more creative with in terms of the frames due to their location in my home. Both of them turned out excellent as well. They really have something for everyone. If you need something simple, they have it. I'm not one for fussy frames and they have a lot of simple frames in loads of colors. However if you need an opulent gold-leaf frame to hang that 17th century oil portrait in your living room, they also have you covered. Luckily there's a lot in between as well. You can expect professional, friendly service and good guidance if you need it. Both times I came to pick out a frame and drop the art off, they were working with repeat customers. It really instills a sense of confidence when you see so many repeat customers at a place. I guess now I'm one of them! read more

Found a long-lost high school black and white photography project that was photographed, developed, and matted by my son. The oblong piece was curved, the black mat was dirty an scarred. Chris and Rob cleaned and restored the (signed) mat and framed the piece so tight the frame looked like single piece of wood. All for a very reasonable price and delivered at the promised time. I bought a groupon awhile back for framers edge with what I wanted framed in mind. I had no idea what a wonderful experience it would be! There were so many different choices for frames, each one beautiful, and when you get to that overwhelmed point, they ask you questions about your style to help narrow it down. It was fantastic! It was such a quick and painless process and I even got my framed item back sooner than expected. It wasn't a run of the mill item and something that was made for me long ago, and they did a fantastic job of taking 24 years of wear and tear off of it and making it look brand new and shiny. DO NOT BUY THE GROUPON! We paid $49 for "$165 worth of framing" services. When we went to have a small poster done in as simple frame as they had, the owner stated that nothing could be framed for $165, and then quoted prices from $150 and more on top of the Groupon. Framer's Edge performed a museum mounting and beautiful custom framing on a limited edition, signed piece for me and I truly could not be more satisfied! Not only was their work top notch, but the guys were also ridiculously friendly and kind to me. Note: I called 3 other framing shops before heading to these guys as everyone quoted me nearly the same prices ($140 on up) but this was the only shop who assured me same day service and who had a good attitude. These guys rock. I keep throwing strange things at them, and they keep framing them--nicely. Most recently I had some wrist watches framed for display. I was basically clueless as to how to make the project work. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Framing is pretty expensive no matter where you go, but the prices here are on the affordable side. I have been nothing less than delighted with all 5 (6?) projects with these guys. I needed to get a panoramic picture framed that was 14.5" x 40". Needless to say I couldn't find a frame myself. After a little searching I found Framer's Edge close to where I live. Every other place wanted an absurd amount of money to frame the picture and when I called to get a quote I was pleasantly surprised. Not only that they offered a groupon which covered almost the whole cost as well. The customer service was fantastic and everyone that works there is beyond nice. I even got a call saying the molding from the distributor was damaged and they didn't want to use it. It took a little longer then I wanted, but it was worth it for the quality of work! read more
