The 'not so great' frame up in Northbrook should be avoided. I've been going to other locations…read morefor years and was always happy with the service. I had two orders at this location and the first order was misplaced or lost by Andy for a week or so. Ok, accidents happen - I figured they'd find it. They did eventually. but Andy was SO RUDE on the phone. Second order was a triptych. 3 pieces in 3 frames. I showed Cheryl a picture of the finished 3 pieces as I wanted them framed. When I went to pick it up, they insisted I gave them one piece. I'm not sure how they managed to mess both orders up, but I had a heated call with Cheryl who just kept saying they never lose anything and that there was only one piece. A few days later, and no call, I decided to disassemble the frame and use it for something else. and - there they were.....They had stacked all 3 pieces as one in the frame. Don't bother with this place - I went 5 minutes down the road to Artist Frame Service. They were professional and didgreat work!

I've been a repeat costumer not only for my personal projects but very often for my company. I called to ask a question, actually I asked to speak to Cheryl (a woman who works there who is absolutely wonderful), but she wasn't there today--unfortunately. The man answering the phone asked if he could take a message, and in turn I said, well maybe you can help me, I have a question.... he said, "Sigh, Ill have to take your number down and call you back, I am the only person in the store today, and have a shop full of customers" in the rudest, most unprofessional tone possible. I stated I was a customer too and hung up. I thought, ok...fine, you don't want my business... that is your decision. Honestly I do like the work I've gotten done here, and the prices are fair (at times), but if you are going to go to this location make sure one of the wonderfully kind women at this shop are there before you risk dealing with this guy. *Lesson for that gentleman who was working at 10 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2014 - Halloween: In customer service, watch your tone, act like you want to help the customer, and just simply say, "Id love to help you, unfortunately I'm swamped as I'm the only person in the store, can I please have a number and get back to you?" Tone is everything, tone would equate understanding, and probably even empathy for you being so busy. There's ways to handle things. Get it together.

He helped us select frames that brought out the colors in the paintings. They did an excellent job of helping me work within my budget and the finished project was great. They stretched the canvas, framed it beautifully, and even left it open in the back so that the oils could continue to dry throughout its life. I recently moved and wanted to get a few newer pieces framed. Again, I couldn't be happier with the results. I found the right frames and theft held me consider something new: the right glass. I had four pieces and two of them were framed using art glass. In the picture you can see how much it mitigates the reflection of light sources around it and allows for amazing detail to be seen. It was such a great choice on these two prints. The other two I was a little bit more creative with in terms of the frames due to their location in my home. Both of them turned out excellent as well. They really have something for everyone. If you need something simple, they have it. I'm not one for fussy frames and they have a lot of simple frames in loads of colors. However if you need an opulent gold-leaf frame to hang that 17th century oil portrait in your living room, they also have you covered. Luckily there's a lot in between as well. You can expect professional, friendly service and good guidance if you need it. Both times I came to pick out a frame and drop the art off, they were working with repeat customers. It really instills a sense of confidence when you see so many repeat customers at a place. I guess now I'm one of them!

I spent a lot of time examining the artwork on their website ahead of time and love how they let you search by style, size and other options that makes the art buying process a little easier. I had admired a few paintings on their site, but of course nothing beats seeing something in person. And the same paintings I liked on the site were even better in person. I liked one, Uplifting Light, so much that I asked Chris if she could photoshop it into the room I've been looking for. She said an even better option was to take it home for the weekend. She was also super helpful on what frames would work best and I loved that they could frame the painting right in their store - and she said they could hang it too! I filled out some information, gave her my credit card # and I loaded up my SUV. Turns out SUVs are good for something besides carpooling children around.. Once home I was so excited to see the painting in my family room since I was certain this was the "one." I'm so glad Chris let me try it out because while I loved the painting on it's own it just didn't work in the room- the size was wrong, the colors clashed with the colors in my room, etc. And so a few days later I sadly brought it back and handed it to Michael who was very understanding about the situation. I actually did find another painting at a different gallery over the weekend that I believe is the "one" after trying it out in the room, but I will definitely be back to Art Post Gallery when ready to find art for other rooms in my house.
