It was by sheer coincidence that I found this store on Yelp, and I'm thankful for the chance…read moreencounter. I book marked the store a couple months ago as I collect baseball cards, and because the store is near a beach that I like to frequent. Today the circle came complete, we stopped in on our way to the beach. Before stepping in the door I felt the visit might go like it does with many card shops, a quick in and out without spotting a single item that pertained to my collecting interest (pre-WW II baseball). Bleachers stopped me in my tracks. After a quick scan of their cases I spotted a few interesting cards and pieces which sparked a conversation with the store's friendly owner. That conversation ensued for 30 minutes, during which I was shown more interesting pieces and we talked about all kinds of memorabilia and Chicago baseball history. Long story short, if you collect sports cards or memorabilia you'll want to put this store on your ASAP radar. The owner is a class act and genuinely interested in the hobby. He's got a great assortment of cards, framed photos and sports used memorabilia, packs, cases/binders and other interesting sports pieces. He's also a great guy to have a conversation with. I hope to give back a little of the generosity he showed my son and I today. Thank you for keeping the hobby alive Bleacher Sports!

Now, right now, is the time to bravely walk into an art gallery and get acquainted with a few creative souls whose livelihoods are jeopardized by our present pandemic. Find a gallery whose artists enrich your soul, whose works belong in your home. Get to know their work. Buy a few pieces. My personal favorite is Zia Gallery in Winnetka. Zia's small space houses the work of 19 extraordinary artists. I have followed their works for several years, have purchased a few pieces, and cherish every opportunity to see new additions. Without fail, my visits there are enriched by talking to Anne Hughes, who not only can illuminate her own creative process, but is as intimately familiar with every other artist's work as with her own. Visit Zia's website to see examples. Then adopt one of their artists. You don't have to spend a fortune. The pieces I have bought at this gallery have ranged from $200 to $1200 and I cherish them. Others I've admired cost much more. Buy what you can afford, but don't let these vibrant galleries die. Just. Do. It.

5 star review for this wonderful place. I worked with Andrew who was super nice and helpful. I had…read morea tricky project. I wanted a scarf to have a little batting behind it, the scarf stitched to fabric , and then framed. I live in the city and have typically used Artist frame Service on Clybourn. I got a quote from them - which seemed quite high, and it did not include the addition of the batting. The guy said he would call or email that quote. . Chatgpt recommended Frame Warehouse. So I went to them for a second quote. They were about 2/3 the price of AFS quote - and the guy never got back to me with the full quote. They did a beautiful job- ir is hanging in my house- still no word from ASF

I cannot say enough great things about my experience from start to finish with Frame Warehouse,…read morespecifically with Paul and Ava! I went to 3 other frame stores before I found them. I brought in a large textile that I wanted framed and every other store I went to found an obstacle with everything due to the size of the piece. The biggest difference with Frame Warehouse was that they said "yes!" And found ways to make my requests happen, which turned into a piece that is unique and that I truly LOVE! Thank you, Ava, for your knowledge and guidance. Paul went above and beyond from the moment I called him to see if they could work with a piece this size, to the moment it was delivered. Yes, delivered, which we never discussed, but I got a text from Paul saying that they were renting a truck to bring it to me. I didn't even have to ask, they just made it happen at no extra cost to me. I about fell off my chair- the customer service was SO spectacular and is rare these days. All of this to say, I cannot recommend Frame Warehouse enough. I am SO beyond thrilled with my piece, my experience, and with Ava and Paul. Save the time that I spent looking at other stores and go straight to Frame Warehouse.
