Before calling it quits, I made a final call to one more dealership, Swanson Buick. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. My sales specialist, Andrew, went above and beyond the call of duty and made my wish list his priority. Up to this point, I didn't think the car I wanted was available near Massachusetts (or that I could afford it). Andrew did one better. He located the exact car I was looking for with even more options than I had asked for and made it all work within my budget. Even when the other dealers said, "I'm giving you dealer price" or "now we're losing money for you", they didn't come close to the price I got with Andrew at Swanson. Most importantly, they didn't come close to the level of service. When it was all said and done, Andrew worked harder and spent more time looking for my perfect car than I did and he made my car shopping experience really positive. If you want to feel good about your next car lease/purchase, I strongly recommend visiting Swanson Buick.

They told me it was there and even directed me to where it was located. I spent about 30 minutes searching for it, went back and asked them again, and they insisted it was there. I searched again and eventually found out the vehicle had apparently already been scrapped. They told me their inventory system isn't kept up to date and that they've been doing business this way for 50 years. I also paid the $2 entrance fee, and even after explaining what happened, they refused to refund it. The $2 isn't the issue, it's the principle. If you call ahead and are told a specific vehicle is there, you should be able to rely on that information, I even explained having the vehicle here does not guarantee the part I needed and I realize that. Be aware that their online inventory may not reflect what is actually on the property... in a word, unethical wasn't helpful that they kept blaming the owner.

Anyone in the Ayer area with a car in need of repair should go see Mike at My Mechanic. I don't…read morehappen to live in Ayer, nor do I own a car, but I still know that Mike at My Mechanic is the guy to see, especially if you have a flat tire. Here's how I know: Last Saturday, two friends and I went hiking in the White Mountains. When we got back to our cars, one of us discovered that she had a flat. As we commenced to change the flat, we found that the rust on the cage enclosing the spare under the car made it impossible for us to get it down, plus the lug nuts on the flat tire were so stuck we couldn't make them budge. Yikes! Now what?! Luckily for us, a friendly fellow hiker saw us struggling and offered to help us out. Our Good Samaritan was Mike from My Mechanic! Mike not only got the spare down, and wrested the lug nuts free (with the help of a big, strong friend of his), but--when he discovered that the pressure in the spare was too low to be safe for my friend to drive on--he threw the spare in the back of his pick-up, drove to the nearest gas station (which wasn't nearby at all!), filled it with air, came back, and finished changing the flat! Amazing!! We might have waited hours for a tow truck, or who knows how else the day would have ended? But thanks to Mike, my friend got home safely and our beautiful September day of hiking in the mountains had a happy ending. THANK YOU, MIKE! And thanks to your family, too, for keeping us company while you saved the day. So, Ayer area automobile owners, please reward Mike for being such a great guy and skilled mechanic and take your car to My Mechanic when it needs repairs!! Sincerely, Christine James Boston, MA
