Wilson's has excellent customer service. I needed new tires and they ordered them. I dropped my car off and they changed the tires. I mentioned to them that I wouldn't be able to get the car for a few days. They brought the car back and parked it in my driveway for us. read more

Cannot say enough good things about the amazing crew at Wilson's Service Center! Two weeks I was on the highway heading to NH in the pouring rain and my windshield wipers stopped working (just STOPPED!) I panicked, got myself off the highway, found Wilson's via google. I called ahead to see if they could help and they told me to come over. I got there around 12:30, they were supposed to close at 2pm. They quickly assessed the problem, called around for parts, found one place that had the part in NH (a 40 minute drive away,) sent one of the guys to get it, stayed open late to fix my wipers and as I cashed out, one of the guys said, "by the way, I managed to pull out your bumper - it's not perfect, but it's better than it was." My bumper had been crushed several weeks before and I hadn't had it fixed yet. I was blown away and said "you fixed my bumper?" and he kind of shrugged and said, "no big deal, I had some time. " These guys were so kind and helpful - true customer service that barely exists in the world these days. Highly recommend this amazing team!! read more

Was having problems with my cars transmission. Took it to Wilson's to get it checked out. Got a call the same day saying that nothing sounded out of the ordinary and he did a fluid flush just in case. The next day I take my car out and the transmission completely failed. Do not take your car here for transmission problems, I was charged $500 dollars for fluid replacement and was told I should be good to go. Now Im out $500 and will need a new transmission. Not good service, he must not have actually looked at my transmission. read more

dropped car off at 8:30 a.m. Thursday 12/2. Called them later to see if they knew what the problem was. I was told they were very short-handed and one guy went home sick. called Friday and was told that it was a weird problem, one that they had never encountered before, and so needed more time. I called Saturday a.m. and was told the mechanic working on the car would call me back in about 1n hour later. 2 1/2 hours later I called back and was told they could not find the problem yet and if I needed the car for the weekend they would bring it back. I thought about it and decided to leave it there cause it was too difficult to get a ride home from there. I called Monday around 2 p.m. and was told the mechanic was out test driving it and would call me within an hour. At 4:30 -p.m. I called again and was told they would call right back. Someone did, but it was to tell me they could not work on my car so I said ok I will pick it up in the morning. I was then informed that the car had been delivered to my home. I am 78 years old, live in a senior situation and our parking lot is across the street. I never go out at night but the adrenaline was pumping, and with a big flashlight I went out and found it. 5 days without a car that is still not fixed. Sorry I did not go to law school. read more

Let me preface this rant by saying they are a great shop with very good mechanics. I dropped my car off at 10am Friday and told the owner Gary that I would need my car Monday at noon. I called Monday around 2pm to confirm that my car is ready. I was put on hold and then told a mechanic is pulling it in to see what was wrong with it. I knew it was the catalytic converter because that is what they told me last time I was in the shop and what I told them when I dropped it off. So they haven't looked at it until after I needed it finished.....because they do good work I let it go and said I really need it on Tuesday. I call back Tuesday afternoon and they say they are going to order the part and have it overnighted. Why wasn't it ordered on Monday? It is guaranteed to be ready Wednesday. I call Wednesday morning and I am told it will be ready a little after lunch. I call in the evening and told it's not ready yet. Thursday morning rolls around and told that it will be ready by lunch. I call at 3 and tell them I am on my way over. They say it's not ready until at least 5. This is more than 75 hours after I am told it would be ready in the first place. The sad part is that this is not the first second or third time this place has done this. I will never go back unless I have a flat out front. read more

I grew up in Groton most of my life and this is hands down one of the best places to get your car serviced in the area. I'd say if you need service in Groton go here, next best place if your in Pepperell would be to go to Holmes Auto in Pepperell. I know Gary pretty well now and he has worked on cars of all different kinds while I've been in the shop, he can work on my 25 year old Nissan 300zx or my 2006 Subaru WRX. I even had an axel fail after they had replaced it, they did a free replacement and did some extra work for me no charge. Gary definitely looks out for his customers. The staff are good guys, good to chat with. I also like that they are open on Saturdays for doing a sticker, that has come in handy over the years many times when other places are closed. read more

YOU CANNOT DO UNAUTHORIZED WORK ON MY VEHICLE. Let me just say that I have been taking my car to Wilsons for about two years now for oil changes, sticker changes, and brakes. I have synthetic oil used in my automobile. My oil change runs about $75.00. I brought my car over yesterday for an oil change. That is all that I asked for. NOTHING else. When I went over to pick it up, the owner told me, ok that is $176.00. I said, that's not my car, I just had an oil change. He started reading he bill and said that they replaced filters as well. I said what...for $100 extra dollars? No one asked me if that was ok. So he drags me out onto the garage floor and drops me with the lead tech and takes off. I was never so irate with anyone. I work next door and they did that to my co-worker as well. Because I put up a stink, they "dropped" the mark up and labor to replace the cabin and air filters. The mark up and labor for these was OVER FIFTY DOLLARS....yes you read that right. I told them that I will never go back there. They had a good and loyal customer in me, who has spent at least two grand in that shop. No way to run a business. No way at all. read more

These guys have no idea what they're doing. Never fix my truck right the first time. I've gone back 3 times because the kid messed up on putting new horns in. Got a wheel bearing done and this guy puts it in the wrong side. Doesn't even take it for a ride to confirm which side is bad. Takes it for a ride after and says it's all set. I get a mile down the road and the sound is still there. He didn't even have the common decency to tell me it was the other side. He messed up and didn't want to own it. They did power steering lines in my moms car and gouged her so bad on the price. Another shop was shocked at how much they charged. Oh ya and if you nieed your truck by a certain time, don't expect to get a call when it's done. You have to call before they close to ask if it's all set. Place is a joke. They don't check anything when you go to get a sticker either. They plug the OBD in and slap a sticker on if it passes. They told me I needed control arm bushings before I got new tires. Went to another shop for a second opinion, the lower balljoints were ready to explode they were so bad. Oh ya and the bushings were fine. If you value your car and don't want to bring it back a million times before it gets squared away, stay FAR away from this poor excuse of a garage. read more

We've been going to Gary's shop for years. I live in town and they always get me in promptly. In fact, they had to keep my car all day and I WFH. Gary drove me home and took my car back to the shop. He then drove my car back to my home as I forgot to give them my new phone # and he was concerned I might need my car to get my kids that afternoon. They won't try and upsell you on things you don't need and give you great work at a fair price. Totally first rate service, I won't take my cars anywhere else. read more

I had asked to have 2 downstream O2 sensors replaced. When I came back, they had taken the truck for a 30 mile test drive that I was charged for (I didn't ask for nor did I authorize) and gave me a sticker (I didn't ask for nor did I authorize). Yes, I did benefit from it but I can drive it myself to flip the registers then come back for the inspection. After I paid the bill I told them I needed to go home and get my wife so I could drive the truck. Gary said he would leave the keys on the truck floor (After paying the bill I think the keys should be in my pocket). When I came back I found the keys hanging half way out of the lock and about to drop in the snow. If anyone reading this is a car thief, you'll find this place a good mark. I wanted to complain at that point but the Gary was out on another test drive. I got in the truck to find the radio up so loud it was distorting. After scrambling to turn the radio down I noticed that everything in the truck had been adjusted and not to my liking. When I sent an email the next day, Gary wrote back that that is just the way they do things. The way I just do things is write you up on yelp and go else ware. This is not the first time I've been irked by Wilson's. I've had my wife's skid plate removed from her Passat and thrown out. Another time they had not tightened down the hose from her turbo leaving her stranded and me doing a repair on the side of the road. read more
