My Fusion had developed a slow leak in the left rear tire. Dealer couldn't even look until 4 days later. Went to Acton Gas, was told to come back in 20 minutes, did that, and got the tire fixed in 10 minutes. Great, reasonable, responsive service. I just moved to Acton for California and needed to get my car inspected and had no idea where to go for the inspection. I saw Acton gas station had a sign out on the road side saying inspection so I pulled in and got my inspection. The inspection only took about 10 minutes and the installed my new Massachusetts license plate's with out me asking them to and that was impressive as far as I'm concerned because now days not many people will do anything for free and I know it was free because they only charged me $35.00 and that is the fee for the inspection. Not only did they go the extra mile the inspector and employees were very polite and kind! I recommend Acton gas to anyone who is looking for a professional and courteous business! read more

Had my brakes and rotors replaced here for $270 when everyone else I asked wanted $310-330. They also noticed that my sticker expired and updated it. I don't know what else they did, but when I drove my car out of there, it drove the smoothest it's ever driven... so smooth it was almost alarming. Steering: creamy. Engine: quiet. Brakes: good as new. You can tell they are good because the garage is always bustling. FYI, if you are having work that is going to take a few hours, there is a cafe across the street. This gas station and garage is awesome. Hands down, the staff is kind, friendly, helpful, and efficient. I work a full time job during the week and a part time job on the weekends so I appreciate businesses that are run by people who go out of their way to be helpful, not just to get money, but because they are kind and decent people. The entire staff here is delightful. Let me put it this way. I get free oil changes and inspections with the dealership where I lease my car. I will gladly PAY for an inspection or oil change here. I have never waited longer than 15 minutes for an inspection, from arrival to pay and departure. They're friendly no matter how ungodly hot it is, or blisteringly cold. They are a class act and I drive out of my way on my evening commute to buy my gas here. I can not recommend them more strongly!!!!! read more

Excellent service. I went here for my vehicle inspection. I found the associates who did the inspection to be quick, efficient and honest. They quickly fixed one of the brake lights (no extra charge) and did not try to sell me anything. I was in and out fairly quickly, considering there were 3-4 cars ahead of me. read more

My car unfortunately did not pass inspection yesterday because my high beam light was out. I purchased a bulb locally but the enterprise wasn't allowed to install it. They recommended that I go to Acton Gas & Service to see if they could help. One of the team members helped immediately and wouldn't even accept money for the installation. Terrible customer service do not use! I had a question about the work done and the owner became irate and told the to go f myself. Incredibly rude and hostile. I was shocked. I told him I was going to give him a bad review if he didn't stop yelling at me ... yes he was yelling at me. And he said he doesn't care. He gets more business than he wants.. I needed to have a car inspection and after trying unsuccessfully at three other locations who advertised being available for inspections until 6:00pm yet seemed unwilling to help me when I arrived around 4:30pm. Frustrated, I was resigned to try the next day and decided to use Yelp to find a recommended location. Acton Gas & Service had consistently 5-star reviews and I figured, driving a few more minutes to support a good local business is worth it. I can wholeheartedly confirm that this unassuming station is the real deal. The attendants are respectful and friendly and the inspector was thorough and helpful. Apparently one of the lights needed replacing on my brake lights and he replaced it without additional charge. I mentioned to the owner how I found them and learned that they have been around for a number of years and have seen young children grow up to service their own cars at the station. Long story short, if you want a reliable inspection and want to support a nice local business, Acton Gas & Service is worth driving a bit out of your way. As a bonus, they are one of the few full service stations that doesn't charge significantly more for the service. Highly recommended. read more

I have had some bad experiences here, like the attendant banging on my car when he apparently felt I wasn't quick enough getting my gas cap open -- which, by the way, my dog really enjoys seeing as she was in the back seat and a strange man is banging right next to her head! It got to the point where, even though this is clearly the most convenient gas station for me, I was driving miles out of my way or getting my gas elsewhere. But, lo and behold, over the weekend I was running late and desperately low on gas, so I decided to take a chance. I am happy to report that the attendant this time -- who was definitely a different attendant than my on previous visits and I know cuz, believe me, I remember people who upset my dog (and me) -- could not have been nicer. And this was on Sunday, when in this neck of the woods it was a brutally cold day and I could have understood some crankiness or impatience. Then, the icing on the cake was that, when he handed me my credit card and receipt -- and gave me a minute to open the window to get it -- he gave me a nice MilkBone for my pup. Yay! I hope this is a new trend here, and maybe the meanie attendant is gone for good. I will definitely give them another shot, and yes, I will upgrade to five stars if I continue to get a dog biscuit ; ) read more

I highly recommend Acton Gas and Service. I went here for the first time today to get a synthetic oil change and they were nothing short of amazing. They were very busy with it being the final hours before the Thanksgiving holiday and they fit me in without an appointment; I was done in 20 minutes. I rarely write reviews for automotive services unless they are truly horrible, this was. I have an late 90s truck with aftermarket headlights and a custom exhaust (there are thousands like mine on the road). I brought my truck to Action Gas where it was inspected and passed in June of 2015. All of a sudden today the headlights and exhaust are illegal, and with no legitimate explanation as to why, the head of inspection tells me the truck is going to be failed. I asked him to explain why they are illegal when other vehicles have modified exhausts and HID headlights, he would not explain and got aggressive with me when I questioned him. He got even more offended when I told him the truck was passed there a year prior. I did research and called other mass inspection places in the area, everyone told me HIDs are not a problem and as long as my exhaust was past the cab it was just fine. I'm not trying to tarnish Acton Gas's reputation with my review, just be cautious that the man who does inspections may do it with his opinions and not by the actual LAW. read more
