BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!! Master tech HVAC is a RIP OFF and should be closed by the attorney generals office!!!!! Seriously dishonest business owner!!!!! Unfortunately this is not a joke and EVERY WORD IS TRUE!!! I am a general contractor and I was a long time customer (spent tens of thousands) until the owner, Ryan Gopin, blatantly tried to over charge a job he was supposed to do for me by $3,000.00!!!! When I discovered the staggering discrepancy I strongly protested. Ryan Gopin - the owner - not only told me he didn't care, he pouted like baby, and then he then kept my $1,000.00 deposit and told me to sue him for it!!! ABSOLUTELY THE MOST DISHONEST DECEPTIVE THING I'VE EVER HEARD OF!!!! I am in the process of pursuing criminal charges as well as civil proceedings. I CONTACTED THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND THEY SAID I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE TO HAVE CONTACTED THEIR OFFICE REGARDING THIS BUSINESS AND IT'S OWNER!!!! As if all that weren't bad enough - a friend of mine that I had previously referred Master Tech to had them come out to service a malfunctioning air conditioner they had installed. This customer was charged $460.00 for five pounds of freon and the unit still did not work correctly. My friend called me to ask if I was having problems with Ryan from Master Tech and I explained how Ryan had tried to rip be off. This person had another HVAC company come out the next day and in fact they discovered that there was not the amount of freon the customer was charged for by Master Tech and no there was not a leak in the system either. The veteran technician form other company pointed out several things that had been done wrong in the installation by Ryan Gopin from Master Tech. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!! Our furnace gave out on a very cold Sunday in December. I called several companies in the area and selected Master Tech because they said they could come out right away and that I wouldn't be charged an additional fee despite the weekend timing; I believe the charge was $75. All other companies were charging more and many required my leaving a message despite their 24-hour advertisements. Ryan, the owner, arrived at my house within the hour! He immediately knew the age of my furnace and assessed the situation. I needed a new furnace (mine had lasted nearly 30 years so it didn't owe me anything), but he showed me what I could do to try to get some heat until a new one could be delivered. I chose to purchase a new furnace from him, which he delivered by 8 a.m. the next day. As such, I was not charged the assessment fee. Ryan did not try to sell me a trumped up furnace and, in fact, he veered me away from the more expensive furnaces that had more bells and whistles. His price was competitive with others, but his warranty was way better than his competitors. He disposed of my old furnace and installed my new furnace quickly, taking care to clean the entire area before leaving. Ryan's fee for annual cleanings is extremely reasonable (about $50 with a coupon). I couldn't be happier with this small, family run business and will definitely be calling Ryan again if anything should happen with my other equipment. read more

Had a problem with my ac. I called master tech and spoke with Ryan. He offered a tech to come out. Unfortunately I didn't have the money for that. I described what the problem was and he told me exactly what store to go to, and what part to buy! I couldn't believe this. I had called two popular companies before talking to Ryan. One didn't even call me back. the other stated "oh that is a hard part to find and It will cost you and so on". Well the part ended up costing me $9.22 at a local hardware store! How thankful I am for Ryan he saw my situation and truly cared and helped me. Not only that but I must have called him at least 6 times with questions and each time he was friendly, so kind, and patient with me. He even encouraged me! Thanks to him I have my central air back! On Sunday (Labor Day weekend) our Air Conditioner decided to freeze up and since this was the 2nd time in 2 weeks we decided it was most likely going to need to be replaced. We called Master Tech and spoke with the Owner (Ryan) who answered immediately considering it was a Sunday and a holiday at that. Ryan was not only able to replace my AC Unit the following morning on Labor Day, he had a crew of 4 people come out in the driving rain to get the job done. There were no extra fees or hike up rates and the job was completed within hours. My husband and I were amazed and grateful for their hard work and efficiency in getting the job done. We had air back within hours and it was perfect timing since we were getting hit with hot weather and high humidity. If you ever need great quick service call them, we were very pleased. read more

My experience with Master Tech was wonderful. My air conditioning went out on one of the hottest days this year so far and on a weekend none the less. My internet serch brought me to a few different companies and after couple of quotes I went with Master Tech HVAC. Master Tech HVAC have 24/7 working hours and emergency oriented. They came right out and gave me many options to choose from and showed me physically why my air conditioning was not working. After deciding to purchase a new air conditioner they were able to replace it same day and it only took little over an hour till my house was back cooling better than ever. I woke up to find my furnace went out overnight, called and got an appointment the same day! The part I needed he had right on his truck and did the work right then. He did a cleaning also, turned out the old owners of my house never had the furnace cleaned! He talked about how important it is for the furnace to be cleaned and took the time to explain everything to me, even showed me in the furnace where the problem was. I am a customer of MasterTech for over 5 years. Ryan is polite and respectful. Master Tech installed my new furnace, water heater and sump pump. I have a small child and 3 dogs. Every time Master Tech responds to a service call - it is right away and easy on my budget. They are respectful to my home, family and my dogs. Ryan and his crew are easy going. The guys who came to save me were fast and professional. My AC died after 23 years during the July heat wave. I was sick with a 101degree fever and I after a call to Master Tech they showed up the next morning to take care of my AC. My cat tries to run outside every chance he gets. They were very careful to watch for him and when he did make a break for it, they chased and caught him. Not only were they technically great they were good cat wranglers to! When dealing with a contractor nothing upsets me more than when they say 9 am and I have to wait around until 4 for them to show up. Not only did they show up at 8:45 ready to go but their prices were extremely fair. Water heater was dripping water from the pressure relief valve. They came out on a Sunday and in no time the valve was replaced and all was well. I had them look at my furnace while they were here and they did an inspection and found everything to be good. Would highly recommend. read more
