They are wonderful here! I like all my pants cropped/ ankle length so I've been dropping off my jeans here for the last year. It's only $8 for hemming and they can usually accommodate to have it done in 1-2 hours. Very convenient as well since they are around all the clothing stores in the Tucson Mall. read more

This new tailoring business is located next to Macy's in the Tucson Mall on the first floor--nice for dropping something off after you bought it. The owner said he's been open about three months. I purchased a women's suit for a job interview, and the sleeves were a bit too long, and the skirt slit was a bit too high for a conservative interview (thanks, Express). Called ahead and the tailor promised a 24-hour turnaround, Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon. Perfect, because I fly out for my interview on Monday! When I arrived, the tailor had me try on the suit in nice dressing rooms, and I came out to a well-lit mirrored area that let me see the suit from all angles. He marked the suit where I wanted it changed and double checked that this was the length I wanted. When I came back the next day, everything was finished as promised, and it looked very professional. I had to flip the skirt over and look inside to double check that he had changed the slit, because I didn't see any different stitching on the front. The sleeves also looked like they had been originally made my length. The tailor had me try it on to check that everything was as I wanted it. He even snipped the temporary stitching on the back of the suit for me, which was nice. Out the door, hemming the sleeves was $25 and shortening the slit was $7, with a 15% opening special, so I paid around $27. The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was that over the phone I was told the sleeves would be $20, but when I brought the suit in the tailor explained that because the way these particular sleeves were sewn, with buttons, it would cost extra because it would take extra time. Okay, but letting me know the range over the phone would have been nice. I tried to check in to Yelp as I was paying, and found this place didn't have a Yelp entry. I encouraged the business owner to get on Yelp to help build his business (he had never heard of it). He shyly said his English wasn't that good, but he would try. So, I came home and entered in the business for him. I'm all for new little independent businesses, especially when they do a good job. Be patient if you have trouble understanding the owner's English over the phone. Communication was fine once I came in, and he does great work in a convenient location! read more

I'm 4' 11 so I take my dress pants for work to be hemmed here on a regular basis, as well as clothing for special occasions. They are always sweet and very meticulous with their work. When I only have one pair of pants to be hemmed I can drop them off, shop around the mall for an hour, and pick them up! Easy peasy. read more

Brought them a costume that was ripped and told them I didn't need it to be perfect just usable . They wouldn't even try . I guess this place makes really good money to turn away a customer like that . Maybe they are good for other things but for a place to not even try to help out someone who is willing to pay is ridiculous to me . Waste of time and gas driving over to this place ! Had 2 pairs of pants hemmed while I waited and paid $16.20 for the pair (special going on until 12/31). That is great on 3 levels: 1) He did an excellent job 2) I got my pants back within 30 min 3) I had called around a few other tailors/shops and they quoted me higher prices and turnaround times This place is conveniently located in the mall next to Macy's. This place is awesome!! The staff is super friendly and the place is really clean. I brought in two pairs of pants to get hemmed at around 6pm, I was told it would be an hour when they would be ready for pick-up but they called me about half an hour after drop off to let me know they were ready. I was shocked at how fast they were and they did a fantastic job! I definitely recommend them! read more

Excellent work and customer service! We started with my daughter's prom dress from Macy's in late March, 2017- five layers of lace and other material, after hemming, it was about 4-5 inches shorter and looked absolutely perfect! Then it was her graduation dress in May 2017, bought on ModCloth, everything fit fine but was cut loose under her arms, they took in the extra material and it looked wonderful! We knew it the place to go, you cannot even tell that the items have been altered, they look beautiful an brand new. So then we starting coming in every week since with more and more things, like concert and band t-shirts that are always too long and a pain to tuck into jeans or shorts, hemmed perfectly. My daughter's closet has never look better or more tailored, she will look awesome in every outfit for college. I've had a pair of pants and shorts both hemmed here. I also just took in a dress that needed shortened by about 3 feet and they did that beautifully too! It seems to be family owned and the staff is always very sweet and helpful. The best thing is that they are usually finished within 30 minutes to a couple of hours. So much better than other places in town!! It may seem odd that they're located in the mall but trust me, you'll be happy you went here and not somewhere else. read more

We couldn't have asked for a better job. My husband asked the tailor to add a secure zippered pocket to the regular front pocket on two pairs of slacks. He had had a pair with such a pocket, but needed a larger size. So he bought a regular pair and then went to Master Tailor and asked them to add zippered pockets on both sides of two pairs of slacks. The tailor did a perfect job adding the extra zippered pockets, even using different colored zippers and thread to match the colors of the slacks. The cost was very reasonable, make the total cost of the slacks much less than similar slacks with the security pocket found online. We would highly recommend this tailor. read more

Very unhappy with both the quality of work and customer service. I brought in a cocktail dress that needed hemmed and the waist taken in. When it was ready I came in and tried it on. The hem was still too long and when I told them about it, they launched into a long discussion about when I walked in it it, it would look shorter it was just that when I stood there in front of the mirror the dress poufed out and so it made it look longer (or something like that). None of that made sense or mattered, it was longer than I wanted and how we pinned it originally. They said that they would have to charge me to change the hem since I had approved how they marked it with chalk. I argued that I was totally happy with how it had been pinned, but that wasn't how it was sewn. Then the bodice had diagonal wrinkles where they had taken in the waist but was baggy right below the bust (worst possible combination); it was not fitted well at all and did not lay nice and smooth like it should have. Again, they were unwilling to fix it. They seemed totally fine with a first time customer being unhappy with both alterations she had asked for. I'm not sure why they offer to have you try it on before leaving with the item if they aren't willing to fix any issues. I wonder if this business has changed ownership. The previous reviews that I read and based my decision on to try them mentioned a man who was the owner. When I went in April 2015, there was a very young man there who translated, but it seemed like a middle aged woman was in charge. I don't recommend them and I won't be going back. read more
