Here is my experience I hope this help to make up your mind about using these movers. They will over charge you, and not very professional. When we set up our move! We ask if the workers would not smoke around our things. My husband is an asthma and allergic to smoke. When they carried out the fur They dented the old house dry wall at our old house. Tore the base on the oak cabinet! Switch supervisor in the middle of the move. When the move was completed, I ask about the damaged list that I signed with the old supervisor. The new supervisor didn't know anything about the damaged list. I was aggregated during the whole move. When it came down to pay the bill, they charged us for 2 trucks and charged us a total of 9.53 hours of moving. We started the move with them at 9:15 am and ended the move at 3:30 pm. So they over charged us a total of $488.77 dollars. They automatic took out the charge of $1420.04 when it should have been around $931.25 read more

We could not be more disappointed with Master Movers. They are dishonest, they do not respond to calls, and they are completely unprofessional. I would not recommend them to anyone, and if you value your belongings or your sanity, choose another mover. We tried VERY HARD to resolve ridiculous overcharge issues with them, but they are impossible to deal with. Beware! read more

We used Master Movers in April and it was a terrible mistake. First, they neglected to disclose the added fees associated with the move until they arrived at our home preparing to move us. So, we unfortunately had no choice but to continue. Then, we experienced a significant amount of damage to furniture, i.e. scratches on stainless steel appliances, broken couch (we recently purchased), broken dining room table, and the list continues. We put in a claim for only the items that had major damage and was given a bs excuse as to why they could not pay the claim. Beware...do not make the same mistake we did by using this company. read more

UPDATE: It looks like this company gets a LOT of LOW, REALLY LOW ratings. In response to the owner: Here are the FACTS, you idiot! HE IS WRONG, MISINFORMED, or INCOMPETENT, maybe all three! 1) I did NOT book my move the day before... I have the phone records and $99 deposit charged to my credit card to prove it...I booked on DEC. 6th for a move on DEC. 16th!!! That's 10 days in advance. 2) I also was NOT in a hurry to get it done. I was furious that I received an email confirming our move was scheduled for 9AM - 11AM on Dec. 16th and they showed up AN HOUR & 15 MINUTES LATE (12:15PM) So, THEY put us behind. THEY were in a hurry! 3) AND, We did NOT FOREGO any wrapping! They wrapped everything (I have pictures to prove it) & we were charged for it! They just didn't handle it RIGHT! 4) I also x-crossed out everything on the waiver & asked the movers to inform management that I wanted contacted regarding the issues. I still haven't received a call. It looks incredibly BAD that someone has such a horrible moving experience and the owner of the moving company wants to LIE and make excuses for HIS company's mistakes. THEY WERE LATE! THEY LEFT AN 18 YR OLD TREE SITTING OUTSIDE FOR ALMOST 2 HRS and KILLED IT. THEY NEARLY DESTROYED OUR WALLS, AND RUINED THE PAINT/FINISH ON MY DRESSER AND all HE can respond with is excuses trying to make this MY fault. I am more than happy to post documentation online so that EVERYONE can see the horror. (credit card confirmation of date I was charged the deposit showing he's lying about me booking a day before, the email confirming the move time 9-11 and the slip initialed by your crew showing the arrival time of 12:15, and pictures of all of the damaged items so that EVERYONE out there knows in addition to being a LIAR, he owns a BAD moving company!!! He could have called me to resolve this, but he is a bad business man and he will fail for treating people this way. HORRIBLE Movers! If I could rate it NO STARS, I would! The woman named Linda, placed my request for my move. She sent a copy of the estimated charges and said they would be at my house between 9-11am. They showed up at 12:15PM!! They didn't care that they were late, and neither did the customer service worker, Tracy! It was below 30 degrees outside and instead of moving 1 piece of furniture at a time onto the truck, they emptied out all of my belongings & left them sitting on the cold, snow/ice covered ground. That stuff sat there for over 2hrs!!! They killed an 18 yr old fig tree, they tore up the walls in the home I left AND in the new home. They damaged some pieces of furniture! I was charged for all sorts of "supplies" to wrap & protect my things, however, they didn't wrap the pieces that were damaged and then pushed them around on the cement sidewalk! I left multiple messages to get a call from management so I could file a claim for the damages. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME! On top of all that, they charged me a fee on my final bill copy for paying with a credit card -$19.95 fee!!!!!! They never mentioned a word about that fee in the estimate or when scheduling...they just tacked it on to my bill. The 2 movers never said a word about it when they asked me to sign off on their completed work sheet (which I did not sign due to damage). I've used 2 Men and a Truck and All My Sons and had no problems with them. I booked Master Movers because the other 2 companies weren't available on the date we needed them. Just go somewhere else! read more

I would recommend this moving company.. They were a half an hour early to start moving us.. if I ever have to move again I will use Master Movers..Thanks guys.. good job read more

Master Movers moved me from Indy to the Louisville area and they were efficient, friendly, and professional. I would recommend them to anyone I know. The price I was quoted was the price I was charged. Linda, who arranged my move, did not make me feel like I was talking to a pushy salesperson. She did not pressure me; rather, I was able to ask lots of questions and then make my own decision. The crew who moved me (Asaad, Chris and Shay) were very friendly, polite, and they did a great job. Asaad was the supervisor and appeared to have quite a bit of knowledge and experience. My moving experience with Master Movers was between a 4-star and a 5-star experience. Anyone who hires a mover should represent their needs accurately and ask lots of questions. read more

I would also give zero stars for this move. The sales person was lovely and very kind on the phone. The movers were nice enough guys. However, our furniture as well as the walls in our house incurred some major damages. Some pieces are furniture are unable to be replaced. The movers were very slow and they did not even fill the truck to capacity for the move. This meant they had to take a second trip, which meant we had to pay a significantly higher price than we were quoted. In my opinion, this was needless. My husband ended up moving a large portion of the second round of items off of the truck with one of the movers while the foreman sat in my kitchen and talked to the dispatcher about finishing the move. I don't believe for a move of over $700 (all in the same township, by the way), this was a reasonable price. I spoke to an office person about this situation, but my concern was never addressed and I was never contacted. Regarding the damages to the drywall and furniture, I have submitted a claim form. I have not yet heard back from the company, but I am hopeful the company will right this situation. After leaving a few messages, I'm currently awaiting a return phone call regarding the status of this order. Some of the furniture that was damaged was my grandmothers and cannot be replaced. A wine rack that was built for us as a wedding present was also broken-another irreplaceable item. Still, I remain hopeful that this company will right this error promptly. I need to add to my earlier post that after nearly six weeks of waiting for the claim department to review and process my claim, we were issued a whopping $100 for drywall and baseboard damage. The claim states that is the "maximum that can be reimbursed." Our estimate for repairs only, without paint, was over $300. This is reprehensible. Again, I would absolutely never recommend this company. I will also be reviewing it on other sites, as will our realtor, in the hope that other potential customers will think twice about using Master Movers. read more

I would give them less than one star. The workers were great. Once the truck was loaded we were told that we went over the estimated space by 20% so we were charged 75% more. Not happy. Total ripoff. read more

Master Movers moved me in July 2015. They broke 3 of six legs off my couch, ripped a leg off of a large leather chair AND ripped the leather. They smashed a 4ft diameter 1 inch thick glass top for a coffee table. They smashed a 3 foot tall designer lamp, squashed a desk lamp, Put deep long scratches in a king wooden sleigh bed frame. They also damaged the bed rails. They drug a queen mattress and rolled up rugs with no protective wrapping through dirt and ruined them. DO NOT USE MASTER MOVERS!! They ruined almost everything I owned and then refused to pay any claims even though I had pictures of everything. DO NOT USE THEM!I am heartbroken... read more

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A MOVING COMPANY. The two gentlemen arrived at my house at 9:45am to move literally a bedroom suite, dining room, family room and 2 desk. They had no idea how to break down the furniture. It was unbelievable, they told me they also were not given any tools that they were expected to supply their own. (Even had to borrow mine) I had a 4 hour quote from the company which I approved and knew that was fair as I had already moved 3 years ago. The most frustrating aspect are the damages to my furniture which cannot be repaired, a Granite top dresser - two chunks out of it. They carried in a jewelry box upside down as did the same to most of the furniture (had no idea what was top or bottom). One piece hit the side of the house. Damages to several pieces in my eyes cannot be repaired. After arriving to destination the 2nd gentleman sat outside on the phone 2/3 of the time while the other gentleman tried to put the furniture back together alone.......... It will be very interesting to see how the company will handle it. I would not recommend this company or EVER use their service again. I will post again after I settle with the damages. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Shaun D. they probably delayed your move because they were still behind from MY MOVE! They started at 10:30 and finished at 10:30!!! Then we ended up spending the next day moving all they didn't move. At one point the guy took off with our stuff and the truck broke down on 65 with my husband behind them. Quoted 4 hours movers said 6!!! Slowest, most disrespectful group of people I have ever dealt with! Quoted $350 he tried to charge me 650 and ended up paying $450! Please tell everyone to stay away! The sad part is we used them before and everything was great, supervisors didn't even care and did us such a favor by discounting us an hour for $89. Call Jones Movers instead! Everyone I talk to said we should have called them instead. read more

If there is a zero star, I will definitely do it. This is first time I write a bad review, But I have to do this one. Now it has been long past the date they promised of delivery, 8-21days. Each time we phoned, nobody answered or someone told us "it has to take 21 days, we can't find truck go to ur location" seriorsly? If you can't delivery to my location why you took our money and our furniture? Scammers? And what is promised 8-21 days mean? Besides this horrible problem, pricing issue, I think most reviewers have get to it, they will ask for more money as much as they can. This company has a huge trust issue, the time we chose the company to move because of the 3.9 star on google, but it was really carelessness of us not looking into those reviews, actually the company got all one stars from reviewers, those 5 stars obviously fake. I may believe the only job they do is not moving, but writing fancy reviews online of their own company! They said they will take their promise to customer otherwise money back, I hope I will get my 3000 back, but seriously have anyone been paid back before? I think no. I think it is the time for every customer to file claim to Indiana court to claim compliant of this scammer company. read more

Master Movers has been absolutely despicable in making reparations for a bad move. They held our items hostage until we paid for an extra 1000 cubic feet that we did not use which is an additional $4000. They claimed we used a total of a 4000 cf truck, however that truck had three other deliveries on it besides ours - clearly that would be impossible if we had used the entire truck. We have photographs of the contents of the truck after ours had been removed and have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue with them, only to be ignored. We also have an outstanding damages claim that is turning into a nightmare. We definitely learned our lesson the hard way. Beware and use another mover. read more

People, Don't do it, don't do it, don't do it. The reviews from the REAL people here are true. I am still trying to recover from the nightmare of my move on September 6. Every time I open a box that they packed I want to cry. They don't pack, they dump. I had my vinyl record collection (50 years) in a particular order packed in milk crates. They literally dumped the records into 2 huge tall boxes (wardrobe boxes) that weigh so much I can't move them and can't reach into the boxes. The records are scattered helter skelter. Every box they packed is like that. Furniture damaged, SS refrigerator door handles scratched. If a box or tote I packed was marked KITCHEN it ended up in the bedrooms and vice versa but most of my boxes and totes were thrown into the garage to the point we had to take everything out and rearrange it. They use their tape to tape everything to the point of ridiculous so you have to pay for more packing materials. There are items missing AND things that were supposed to be on the trucks were left behind. I discovered that 2 days after the move when I went back to clean the house. When I arrived every light including outside lights were left on and every door was unlocked. They tell you they are "the professionals, they know what they're doing". Not true. Last bit of advice: Don't hire a mover who doesn't come to your house first and see all that you have. I ended up paying more than 3 times the over the phone quote only to have my belongings mistreated, broken or scratched. If they know you have to move that day they will take you to the cleaners because they know they got you. These people have no business ethics whatsoever. They bait you with a low ball quote, you agree, put down your deposit and the nightmare begins. read more

Worst movers EVER. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was damaged in some way. All of our boxes of books were ruined by water, almost every piece of furniture was damaged in someway, and I really am not exaggerating. Baby furniture was ruined, tv stand dented,. And our couch could not even be removed from the old apartment-- even though I watched movers bring it in easily two years earlier. But the best part was when they delivered the couch cushions in pristine condition-- the ONLY thing in good condition. Only use this moving company if you would like everything to be ruined. SO SO DISLIKE. read more

We have all been already screwed by this company, don't be their next victim :-( My best advice: Run!! read more

This company is a complete FRAUD. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Everything Kyle told me on the quote was a complete LIE: 1) They quoted me with a move-in special of free packing materials/tape/boxes, etc. How ever the contract they brought on moving day did not include the move-in special that I was promised.. I called Kyle in regards to this, and he said to move forward with the move and he would be sure to get it taken care of after the weekend. I followed up, and they told me to put it on the claim sheet that I had to fill out due to the extensive damage to our hutch. 2) Kyle also quoted me for another move-in special of 3 movers for X number of hours for Saturday afternoon. The movers called me Saturday morning to inform me that they would not arrive until later Saturday evening but that they had another truck of 4 movers for an increased cost available Saturday morning. After reading other reviews, many people mentioned that Master Movers has pulled this same story/same line with them as well. 3) Lastly, the crew chief that was in charge of the crew was on the job for only the third time. Like most moving companies, as soon as they come to your door, the clock starts. The crew chief then wanted me to sign the paper work. He was not able to explain any of the information that I was signing. His response was, this is my 3rd day on the job, and I will read it with you. I should have known better than to trust him, but he had me list items on what he explained was an "insurance" page. His exact words were "You need to list the items here that you want to make sure are covered, just in case something is damaged during the move, ranking them in order of most important to least important." I did exactly as he told me to do. The number one item that I listed on this sheet was our hutch. My understanding of this sheet, based off of what the crew chief explained, was that if there was damage to our expensive pieces, is that we would be covered should there be any damage. *** When the movers wrapped, boxed, and put a moving blanket on our hutch, they failed to put a moving box on the side of the hutch that they laid down against the cart. The hutch was severely damaged. Wood was split, stain rubbed off, 10+ dings in the wood. *** When filling out the bill, after the move was complete, they went ahead and charged me $60 for boxes, tape, etc. despite the move-in special that I was promised. I was instructed AGAIN that I would be refunded this money, but they had to process it today. In following up with Master Movers following the move, it took SEVERAL weeks for them to respond to my multiple calls/messages/emails. I was finally instructed that I had to fill out the claim sheet. It took 3 months for us to hear back from the company after mailing in the claim sheet. They responded with new copies of the sheets where the wording of what I originally signed was changed. The wording on the insurance sheet now said "I void any insurance to the following items:" Sure enough, the hutch was at the top of the list. This company has ZERO morals, ZERO customer service skills. They train their workers to be shady and lie, and when it comes time to OWN their lies, they lie even more. I debated in writing this review, because I have ZERO doubt that they will go under soon enough. I HIGHLY suggest you go to another company that costs more and save yourself the headaches! read more

DO NOT USE THESE SCAM ARTISTS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Move yourself if you need to. Have your arthritic grandmother move you before you hire these people. Let's start with the quote. According to Ben they give you a quote based on the number of items and 'their knowledge of the weight of such item'. For example, a twin bed weighs x and counts as one item. What they don't tell you is when you take the bed apart to be moved, all of sudden each piece of the bed becomes a 'separate item' and they charge you for each additional piece so all of sudden your quote skyrockets beyond the original price. They show up late. They were supposed to move my daughter and her boyfriend from Michigan to Indianapolis. They gave an arrival time of between 1-3. Did not show up for until 5:30. Claimed they ran into weather and traffic The weather was crystal clear and the internet showed no unusual traffic delays on the freeway. it took them until after 10pm to move one room full of furniture. They then informed me they discovered we had an 'additional 400 square feet' and it would require an additional $1200. I spoke to the foreman's dispatcher who agreed to remove the $1200 and to confirm with Ben in the morning. I had to call customer service twice and Ben three times before he called me back. He immediately told me that the dispatcher had no authority to change the bill and was not removing the $1200 charge. After arguing with Ben for 45 minutes on the phone, he did nothing but deflect and throw out fake DOT rules and regulations about what governs movers. He said his business had a 98% approval raising. I said 'from who? People who don't care if you rip them off?' he never told me who gave him this '98% approval rating.' I contested the charges with my credit card service and will file a complaint with the BBB. This has been the worst experience with a mover I've had. Lies, deceit, over-charging. Then came the absolute topper. When they delivered the furniture the foreman handed my daughters boy friend a blank form and asked him to sign it. It was a form declaring NOTHING WAS DAMAGED BEFORE IT WAS EVEN TAKEN OFF THE TRUCK. Spread the word. DO NOT USE MASTER MOVERS. They may have taken my money, but by the time I am through they'll will have used up time and more time dealing with my complaints through every agency in the state. I read some of Ben's responses to the complaints on here. Hi comedy. This is a horrible company that cheats it's customers. Don't use them under any circumstances. read more

I requested the time slot of 8-10 and the salesman told me it was available a month prior to my move only for the dispatcher to tell me it wasn't 1 day before my move. They gave me 10-12 which wasn't bad but then I got an email saying after 1 due to truck issues. The men arrived at 4:13pm. The men worked extremely slow. They didn't move everything I requested and went over on time. The driver attempted to alter the paperwork stating they moved more than what they did after I told him they worked slow and didn't move what I asked. He argued with me and I offered to walk him back through my house. They dropped several pieces of furniture during the move and after assembling items were scratched. The movers were nice but the overall experience was bad. I did call to complain and no one in management attempted to call me back. The dispatcher was very pleasant and offered to send the truck back out but I declined; after my experience I would rather not deal with them in total and have further damage. read more

I had to use Master Movers when my carrier failed to show up. It was a move of desperation. I thought I was dealing with an honest company, but they only thing that they did right was show on time with little notice. Damage was made to the house while loading, I was offered a discount on the move (which changed prices along the way) and the discount never happened. Some of my belonging were also broken, one by the supervisor, when I pointed that out, he told be he would inform "Ben", but didn't do it. I had specifically asked for weights as I needed for reimbursement purposes and despite promises to do so up front, this never happened. I was storing my belongings for a month at their location, we had to wait a little longer as no trucks were available. We had loaded 3 smaller trucks and on the delivery date, only one and a half showed up. I talked to Ben a couple of times and he assured me that nothing was missing and that his inventory/quality control was flawless (the supervisor on this trip laughed at that when I mentioned it and he said such a thing did not exist). Late in the afternoon when most of the items had been unloaded Ben called me to tell me they had "found" and additional storage unit with my belongings and they will ship them ASAP, which took an additional two weeks of waiting. The employees of the first move one by one stopped working around 7pm as they did not expect to be paid for the overtime. After consultation with Ben the supervisor informed me that they would leave the boxes staged in the dining and living room for the second crew coming with the rest of our stuff to put on their right place. In addition our upright piano was left in the garage as the crew was unable to move it. I was guaranteed the second "larger" crew would take care of it. When the third truck arrived, it was a subcontractor that refused to touch any of the boxes, much less the piano. I contacted Ben again about this and he refused to acknowledge that the boxes (over 80) left in the dining and living room were going to be moved and that he would look into having a contractor move the piano (which never happened). Our king size bed, daughter's bed, master room dresser, two desks, formal dining table, patio furniture all arrived damaged (this is just a partial list). I communicated this from the time of the first delivery and was told to file a claim to process this. One year later i have been completely ignored, and my communications are going unanswered. BEWARE of BENGAMIN MOSHE and Master Movers. read more

if I could assign negative stars to this company I would. They were so pleasant and helpful at first. The guys who arrived to load my stuff onto their truck were in company clothes and a company truck. Once that truck pulled away everything changed.... It was a 297 mile move of about 1/3 of a truckload of furniture and pre packed boxes to be delivered in 3-5 days. The reality was they disappeared with my stuff and stopped taking my calls. Told me if Inwanted my items I had to pay them more money. 3-5 days turned into over 3 weeks! I was again extorted for more money ~$600 that I was told I had to pay in cash or they wouldn't unload my stuff and would charge me for an additional delivery. I was told this via a phone call on a Sunday night that they wanted more money or else and they would only deliver my stuff the next morning or charge me even more. The guys who arrived were not professionals, like the contract and said they would be. They were day laborers driving an Enterprise rental truck. 2 of them spoke no English and the other had such a thick accent we could barely communicate. It was so bad I had to call in the police! Nearly every piece of furniture they delivered was damaged and they lost several pieces, including my grandmother's table she left me when she died. They also "lost" boxes of personnal items from time Inspent overseas which I can never replace. I have probably moved over 20 times in my life including internationally. This was supposed to be my easiest mover ever: not a lot of stuff and the shortest distance. Master Movers turned it into a $7000 heartbreaking nightmare! I would not use them again if they were the last moving company on Earth! read more

I set up my boss with Master Movers for his estate sale to a storage facility. They quoted him prices way lower than he actually had to pay. They delivered his items to the storage facility with over $14,000.00 in damages to his belongings. Some things are not even replaceable. After trying to speak with Ben the owner for weeks, we never received responses. Finally an employee of his told us to fill out the insurance claim form online. I submitted an insurance claim like I was instructed to do with their online form and I included pictures. I did not receive contact back for weeks after, only to be told they would not pay for the damaged items but instead would repair them. This was the only option we had due to the fact my boss lives in AZ and his belongings were in Indiana. He then had to fly home to schedule the pick-up of items to be repaired. When they were finished "repairing" his belongings they refused to send pictures to him to show they were indeed repaired. So my boss had to fly back out to Indiana to receive his "repaired" items. They all came back either in the same damaged condition or worse. This move was in April of 2012 and it still has not been resolved. Please do not use this company they are super nice until they get your money, then they could care less and ignore you and are just plain rude and unprofessional. ZERO STARS read more

Master Movers used strong armed tactics towards me to receive my property back after there movers showed up 2 hrs and 15 mins late. They were suppose to move me between the hours of 1 -7 but did not arrive until 9:15pm. The movers were sluggish, tired and moving very slow. The movers were sloppy in the way they handled my property as they moved me in the dark and with a truck that was not equipped with any lights inside the bed of the truck so that the movers could see how to pack my property. This move did not complete until 4:00 am...Unbelievable!!!!! They broke glass items that were clearly marked and one of the legs on my sofa. They will not return my calls nor respond to my grievance. This move was the very worst nightmare that I or anyone should have to experience. I am now having to seek legal actions to get back the additional dollars charged for the negligence of Master Movers. I would never again hire or recommend MASTER MOVERS to anyone. I hired master movers last weekend and it was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. They were supposed to be at my noise between 9-11 am. They showed up after 2 pm after calling to tell me the truck had broken down so they would be later than my original time frame. Then the dispatcher calls back to tell me they only have a 16 foot truck available when my move required a 26 foot truck. At this point I am upset about my move being so late so I agree to the 16 foot truck and tell the dispatcher I will not agree to pay any additional time if the movers have to take multiple trips in the 16 foot truck and he agreed. This was a lie. The dispatcher also never picked up my calls and his mailbox was full so I couldn't leave a voice mail. The movers were slow and inefficient and I suspect that they were doing drugs or other questionable activities as they kept going into the bathroom for extended periods of time. It was 9 pm by the time the initial truck load was dropped off at the new house and then the foreman tries to tell me they are going to charge for an additional three hours to move the remaining items from the old house. All the items they left were large pieces of furniture. And the first truck load was not even full by the way. I told them I refused to pay extra for the additional time it would take because they were supposed to arrive with a 26 foot truck to begin with. The dispatcher finally spoke to me on the phone but lied and said he didn't tell me he would not charge extra for multiple trips in the smaller truck. The dispatcher also would not let me speak to his supervisor. At the end of the day the movers left with all of my furniture in my old house and I had to hire a uhaul and find friends to help me move the next day. I am still shocked by how poorly this company is run and irate that it was such a horrible experience. Never hire master movers. read more

It is laughable that this company calls themselves the #1 movers in Indianapolis. THey are liars, crooks and their customer service is pitiful at best. I had the misfortune of being taken by these "professionals". THey hire subpar movers with little to no experience, they damaged just about every piece of my furniture on a LOCAL MOVE and took absolutely no repsonsibility for it. THe owner, Benjamin Moshe will bald face lie to your face, tell you what you want to hear and then not back it up. I have been fighting with these clowns for months, I cannot reach any kind of resolve and will have to go to court. THey do not return phone calls or emails and will claim they didn't recieve either when there is proof in phone records and email threads. Barbara will tell you everything is under control then Shannon will say a different story. They will claim their "Insurance Company" is reviewing the loss when in fact, they do not have an insurance company and handle it all "in house". This is the most horrible moving company I have ever dealt with. My husband is a disabled veteran and we were not able to move our household goods ourselves so we called master movers. I paid them almost $3000 dollars to move our stuff 15 miles down the road and they ended up breaking several pieces of my furniture while carrying it into the house as well as denting my stainless steel refrigerator and damaging my new wood floors. They put a hole in my wall and then the guys were complaining about not being paid much and how the company profits off their labor. Oh and when I paid half down for the move they put it on someone else's account so I had to call to get that fixed. They were late arriving for the move and they did not send me a big enough truck. I was told I would be reimburse for the damages but instead I get a letter saying that they are denying the claim because I waived to have my stuff wrapped. Sorry but wrapping the furniture will not prevent damage when you are dragging it across the floor or not picking it up properly. These people are crooks and totally unprofessional they never answer their phones when you try and call customer service and they take months to process a claim only to deny it. Thanks master movers for taking advantage of a disabled veteran and his family! Benjamin your response is not valid first of all do not patronize me by saying that you appreciate my husband and other service members service when in fact you only appreciate the money they give you. Second wrapping is intended to preventing knicks and cracks not for protecting the legs of the furniture from being ripped off while it is being drug across the ground. Lets not forget the damage to my new house can you honestly say that wrapping is going to prevent your employees from putting holes in my walls or scraping my new wood floors? If so then you're even more full of bs then we all thought. Also the fact that your workers did not finish up till 10 pm and I had to bring in extra people to help move because we did not have enough man power. I specifically requested a premoving inspection and told your people we had 12000 to 14000 lbs. of household goods but you never showed up. Your people were totally unprepared for the move. Also how do you explain the harassing phone call that I got from your foreman the day after the move? I'm sure your customers enjoy being bullied by your employees. I'm sure when all the evidence is presented to a judge he will tell you your little waiver contract is invalid because it does not excuse you from down right negligence. Any professional mover will tell you that you cannot drag peoples furniture across the floors or just drop it on the ground. For crying out loud your workers didn't even so much as have a lifting strap for lifting heavy pieces of furniture. I have made several moves around the world and I have to say that out of all the movers I have dealt with your company is the worst and most dishonest. Your company is unprofessional between posting my deposit on someone else's account to getting my address wrong and sending my a letter with the wrong name I think your actions alone speak loudly enough. So yeah try finding other excuses I only wish I read the reviews on your company beforehand. If I ever move again I will be keeping my business with A-1 movers or the other past companies I dealt with! read more
