I contacted Mr. Odom to complete some plumbing work in my newly purchased home which came to a…read moretotal of $1,440. He was tasked with removing the old water heater and installing a new water heater. As well as replacing a tub drain cover, replacing two bathroom faucets, and installing new shower trims in my main and guest bathrooms. I brought all of the materials that needed to be replaced/installed. On the day of service he had a helper who was there to assist him. Mr. Odom told me that he and his helper were having issues trying to install the new shower trim in the guest bathroom. As a result they were just going to put the original spout back on (the tub spout was working properly before they took it off). After they did this the tub spout was not flushed with the shower wall and it did not work properly. When I turned on the tub spout there was water coming out from behind the spout. And when I turned on the shower, water would still come out the spout. I told Mr. Odom about it and he said he would check it out. Unfortunately, as a result of this company's work my guest bathroom tub was damaged (see images). There was damage to the shower wall in which they chipped and put a hole in it when trying to install the new tub spout. Then, proceeded to do a very unpleasant looking caulking job. My shower wall was also burnt during the process of Mr. Odom swelling a pipe. When I asked Mr. Odom to refund me the cost ($150) of installing the shower trims, he only refunded me $125 and stated, "Refund even though I do not owe you." After installing the new water heater Mr. Odom told me that they could not remove the old water heater from the attic because of a personal issue and would have to come back later with a different helper to remove it (he came back 6 days later to remove it). He did not inform about his personal issue when I initially reached out to him for an estimate. After this whole ordeal, I had to get another plumbing company to come out and assess everything that him and his helper did. As well as see what could be done in order to fix the damage to my guest bathroom tub. While the plumber was assessing the work, he noticed that an expansion tank was not installed on the new water heater (by the way, I asked Mr. Odom whether I need one and he said no). It cost me $348 for the new plumber to install the expansion tank. In order to fix the damage to the tub I had to get a resurfacing company. Who also fixed the drain gasket because it was installed wrong by Mr. Odom (or his helper). It cost me $1,400 to get my tub fixed and resurfaced. Now, I have to get the new plumber to come back and install a new tub spout, which will cost me more money. A $1,440 job with Perfecto Plumbing has now cost me an additional $1748 (and counting). Update: Mr. Odom should rethink and delete his claim about me not being honest. I have all of the text messages and do not mind posing them (if he would like) to prove that I wanted a refund of $150 (the cost for installing the shower trims) due to my dissatisfaction with the work. He is correct in stating this job took place in 2024. It took place on April 12 and he returned on April 18, 2024 to "fix" the spout issue (offered to paint over the burns) and remove the old water heater. It took me over a year to get the money and time to have the damages fixed. I also wanted to give accurate figures on how much it cost to fix the damage that was caused by this company. It took me some days to gather my thoughts and assess the damage that was done to my tub. On April 22, 2024, when I informed him about the damages and wanting a refund he did not offer to come back and fix the damage. And even if he would have offered I did not want him to return to my home a THIRD time considering that he already tried to fix his mistake once and end up burning and chipping my tub. Also, he originally said that he would only refund me $100. You read that correctly...he tried to off me a refund of $100. He is correct in stating that I did not answer the phone when he tried to call me on April 22, 2024 because I wanted to only communicate with him via text in order to have a record of what he stated because I did not trust him to tell the truth (case in point his reply to this review).

With a 10 year warranty, had it repaired with warranty parts. Update: requested return of the plumber to follow up on his repair as a problem still existed. Plumber denied there was a problem. Please be aware before hiring Servant Plumbing…read more I did not want to write this review. I made several attempts to resolve these concerns directly before deciding to share my experience. I hired Servant Plumbing for two jobs in my home. One reason I chose them was the cross in their logo and the Christian values reflected in their advertising. The first job was a small repair in my back bathroom: replacing the toilet tank components, the shut-off valve, and a 10-12-inch supply line. The second job involved diagnosing and repairing a hot water leak in my hall bathroom. Steve estimated both jobs at $1,275, which I paid in cash before work began. The back bathroom repair was completed, and the workmanship was excellent. The hall bath repair, however, turned out to be much more extensive than anticipated. I was told it would require significantly more work, including replacing the tub, which I could not afford. I understood and accepted that the larger repair would not be completed. My concern arose when I received a refund of $670, meaning I was charged $635 for the small back bathroom repair alone. Given the scope of the work, I questioned whether that amount was reasonable and requested an itemized invoice showing labor, materials, and hours worked. I never received one. Steve also told me that part of the $635 charge covered a tool he had purchased while attempting the hall bathroom repair. I was never informed beforehand that I would be responsible for purchasing a tool. When I questioned this, I was told I could have the tool if I drove to Walterboro--about an hour from my home--to pick it up. After several business days of trying to resolve these concerns with Steve, I contacted the Mount Pleasant office. Mike returned my call and stated that the larger hall bathroom repair would normally cost around $850 (excluding the cost of a new tub). Based on that information, the completed back bathroom repair would have been approximately $425. He said he would discuss the matter with Steve and get back to me. After waiting another week without hearing from anyone, I called Mike again. He told me he had not yet had time to investigate my concerns or speak with Steve. On top of this, Mike said Steve had just gone on vacation. I was told it would be at least another week before they could discuss the matter. At that point, I felt helpless, unheard, frustrated, and taken advantage of... There were additional concerns, but these were the primary issues. As a widow and the caregiver for my 27-year-old son with severe special needs, this was a significant expense for my family. I genuinely hoped these concerns could be resolved privately. Since they were not, I felt it was important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.
