When I made the appointment there was no mention of a mandatory eye scan for 39$. I show up at 845 on a Friday and can't get my eyes exams because I refuse to pay extra for a scan I don't want. This is deceptive and I do not believe it to be legal. There are no mandatory tests for any medical exam. Will not be returning to visionworks for exams or glasses. read more

Ordered $500 glasses on line with the prescription they gave me. The glasses came in and were not correct. I went back to Master Eye Associates and they told me I was given the wrong prescription and they gave me a knew one. This is bad enough but they also told me that I was out of luck because they don't guarantee their prescriptions! Yeah, you heard me right. They don't guarantee the prescription they give you. They don't guarantee that the doctor is correct in the exam they give you! I was than told to go back to the place i bought the glasses with my new prescription and ask if they can reorder the glasses again. I actually did try that and was told no, because it's not our fault your doctor gave you the wrong prescription. read more

We've been seeing Dr. Hogan for almost 4 years. Over the years we've seen staff come and go and still have received excellent care and customer service. Until today. The new front desk lady with a mole on her face was polite but condescending to the point of being rude. It's unfortunate that she has tainted all the years of positive customer service. The lady in the reception tried to foist unnecessary tests like a digital retinal imaging on me (which the insurance wouldn't pay for) and then also try to give subtle warnings that if I didn't take the test, the doctor would need to dilate me which would be more painful. When I asked why I would need dilation for a simple eye exam, they sort of backed up and said if the doctor found something medically necessary. When I told them that I didn't do any of this on my previous visit, they said that this is now the policy. I would like to start by saying the actual doctor was very nice and professional. The office staff is a bunch of young girls who seem like they hate thier job and quite frankly dont know what they are doing. I came in for an annual exam and the first issue I had was exactly what another reviewer said. ( There is an optional eye procedure that they make very confusing to decline and they do it anyway and try and charge you at the end) I told them that was incredibly misleading and they eventually waived it for me. I was ordered a trial pair of contacts that me and the doctor agreed we wanted to try. Unfortunately they did not have them but said they would be there in a week. I called in about a week later and the girl I spoke with seemed like I was bothering her by even calling asking. She said she didnt know anything and I should call next door which I actually had accidentally did right before calling her and they told me to call the doctors office. She then said she didnt know anything and she had this bratty attitude like she was very annoyed to be doing her job. I think her name was Alexa or Allisa or something with an A. Anyway, Its been a month, I've called 3 times and still no TRIAL contacts. I certainly will NOT be coming back. Waste of time and money. read more

Came in here a little over 2 weeks ago and got my check up and new prescription. After a few days of wearing my new glasses I could tell that one side was just not right. I called them and they put me on schedule for the very next day. I got there early and they brought me right back for my recheck. The staff is amazing here and the doctor really does listen to you and work with you. My whole family is coming here now! We love them! read more

It's difficult to give a rating, I have two different opinions: The doctor herself, I'd give 5 stars. She was fast, friendly and explained everything thoroughly. The receptionist, I'd seriously reprimand her. She took my insurance card and said I told her I had VSP over the phone (I said UHC). She refused my insurance without even checking, saying that it wouldn't go through. I left frustrated, tired and being pregnant, I totally cried. I called my insurance and they assured me this place took it. So I went back and told her to call them. She warned that if it didn't go through, I would still be responsible for paying that day (instead of checking before the appt began?). After hanging up, she began to blame them, "if only they had told me at the beginning who they were". She took no accountability and then wrote my membership ID on a paper for me for future reference "to make it easier"--the same one that was on the card I gave her. I should have complained to the doctor, but I was too tired after being there for almost 2 hours for a 15 appointment. :\ read more

Its understood that this is a busy week for Ordering eyeglasses but answering the phone should not be that complicated. After that i was told that they are really busy. BEWARE: When patients check in they are asked to complete a form that allows you to check a box to decline a $39 procedure. But then there is another color, laminated form indicating they will perform a $39 procedure unless you tell the staff you don't want it. THIS IS NOT THE SAME PROCEDURE AS THE PRIOR FORM. It's the same dollar amount, but you MUST specifically VERBALLY tell the front desk staff you don't want the procedure. They acknowledge this confuses patients, but refused to give me a refund after I figured out what happened. Very dishonest. Makes you wonder how good these doctors are. This place was awful. Ive been wearing contacts and glasses for 20 years. Being new in town and needed something fast I made an appointment. The Dr I saw seemed inexperienced and didn't take the time to fully examine my eyes. Thay gave me a temporary pair of contacts. After paying 150.00 for exam I left and started driving on the highway. I couldn't even read the exit signs. So I turned around and headed back to there office. The Dr. saw me again and gave me another pair of contacts. Once again it was not right . The next day I went back to the office and saw another Dr. She finally got the script right. It took me going in three times before it was right. Never will I go there again. Also I had ordered my Glasses and thay came in and that were not right. It took several day to get them back in. read more

Tabatha is an absolute treasure!! She is ALWAYS smiling, and always explains everything perfectly so I know exactly what I'm signing or what procedures are going to be done and how they work. I've been looking for a place to get my yearly eye exams that is quick and painless, and I think I have found that place in Master Eye Associates. It was easy to get an appointment, the office itself is nice, and the front desk staff is easy to talk to and knowledgable. The doctor who did my exam was Dr. Dworsky. He was very quick and to the point but seemed to know exactly what he was doing. I've visited a few different eye doctors in the past who haven't even mentioned my allergies in my eyes, seeing that I am just there for my updated contact and glasses prescription. Dr. Dworksy recommended some drops for allergies and irritation, and since using them I can tell an immediate improvement. He also answered about 20 questions I had without hesitation or being annoyed. I was able to take care of my eye exam during my lunch break and back to work feeling satisfied with the quality of service I received. My insurance was what brought me to this Master Eye Associates location, but the quality of service I received is what will bring me back. read more

We have seen Dr. Dworsky on a number of occasions and have always had a good experience. The office can always get us appointments quickly, which is one of my favorite things about this practice. Our last experience there, however, was devastating. My teenage daughter had some unusual results on a routine screening test when we came in to see Dr. Dworsky, so we were asked to come back for a follow up test. He was very professional and polite, as he always is. We scheduled the follow-up test with a different doctor (the front desk staff told us this, but didn't tell us who it would be), because it worked better with our schedule. After repeating the test at the follow-up appointment, we were quickly ushered into a back room by what I thought was a tech. The person never introduced herself to me or to my daughter. She closed the door, turned directly to my daughter (she had her back to me) and told her that she'd failed the test miserably three times, that they never see results this bad, especially in someone her age, that the results were "alarming" and that we need to follow up immediately because she could have cancer. I was appalled that anyone would deliver that kind of news to a patient that way, but especially to a teenager. When she finally turned to me to ask if I had questions, I tried to convey my anger that she would drop a bomb like that in such an insensitive way. Then I asked, "What else could it be, besides cancer?" She just shrugged her shoulders. I found out later that it was Dr. Alejos who delivered this news, only because I saw her card on the front desk. Of course we needed to know that the results were concerning and that we needed to follow up with more comprehensive testing right away. But no one should ever have to hear that kind of news in that way. We may continue to see Dr. Dworsky at this location, but we will avoid seeing Dr. Alejos again at all costs. read more
