Very rude staff. One of the butchers there is very rude. On calling him out on his behavior, he got super angry, pretended to be the store owner and asked me to the leave the store. After this, when I reacted(obviously) and told him he is being a jerk, he threatened to call the cops for no reason. As a brown person, I like supporting POC stores, but with such rude staff, trying to misuse the little power they have is so gross. Never ever going to this store again. As a Bengali, I crave the fish from back home. For meat goat is an absolute delicacy in Bengali cuisine. I was very happy to see a collection of frozen fish (Rui, Katla, Hilsa, Pomfret) and goat meat. I have tried their readymade curries. Goat curry was especially awesome. The taste of the seekh kababs is the best. But service is horrendous. I waited more than half an hour for the kababs. Also they denied green chutney. And said they do not have one. They should have informed me before taking the money. I would have gone to some other places which know how to manage a shop.. they really need some managing skills. For now they are not transparent , in fact they are liars and the place becomes chaos if there are are more than 1 customer. The person on the register suddenly becomes butcher and this increases lot of waiting time. Half an hour I stayed because they do not had enough people and more than half an hour to get my order, and the person lied to me that the chicken is undercooked but in fact the chicken burnt and they forgot to take it out of tandoor due to lot of work. Great place for fish and meat. They even have pomfret and hilsa (as well as the usual rohu, bangda etc.) It's clean and the service is great! If you need recommendations, you can ask Usman. The best thing is that they have several different options for marinated meat and fish. You can just pick them up and put them in the oven at home and you're good to go. The shop is small, but the service is pretty quick. I've gotten the plain chicken, goat, and marinated mango and Lahori chicken. Everything was fairly priced. The goat pieces were lacking a bit of meat on the bones. The plain chicken was good, but the standout was lahori chicken. At $2.99/lb this is now our favorite last-minute dinner. Mango is also good. Although I haven't tried it myself, I haven't heard good things from neighbors about the cooked dishes. read more

We ordered a variety of food from here. Lahori Charga, seekh kebabs, rogan josh, chicken tika boti. They clearly do not know what real ahori charga is. Meat tenderness though, 10/10. Flavor 7/10. The seekh kebabs were inedible. They tasted bitter. The rogan josh meat was extremely tough. The chicken tikka boti had exactly the same flavors as the charga. The rice that was included with the tikka boti wasnt even basmati rice. It was undercooked. The only good tasting items in our order were the chutneys. That's it. I would not recommend this place and will not be eating here again. read more

Feel free to visit store only to be insulted and treated rudely. The store manager, Usman, has a stinker of an attitude. Arrogant with in your face rudeness, smart-Alec responses, this guy ought to learn basic etiquettes in customer service. Don't expect this place to survive. Fish has been sitting frozen for months. Sales aren't good so meat sits in refrigerators for many days. You can see this readily in the dull surface texture of meats, especially raw chicken. Would not recommend. Folks have shady practices. Try Rose International instead, corner of Castro and El Camino in Mountain View, a Persian grocery store for fresh meats and friendly customer service. While there, enjoy their terrific kebabs -- done right. One definitely walks away satisfied with the product and friendly interactions. This is the best place to buy high quality meat and fish. The store is spotless, well organized and selection is great. To my great surprise prices were moderate. The master butcher, Usman, is a young but an experienced butcher and very customer service oriented. Try it on a weekday as it is a busy and popular place on weekends. in addition to selling meat and fish, he has variety of tandoor cooked chicken in several different spice choices. All the tandoor chicken from pesto, to LahorI, to achar are delicious. They cook everything fresh when ordered so be prepared to wait. They also make sheekh kababs. The food is moderately spiced and delicious. i arrived on busy Sunday lunch hour and ordered several dozen kebabs for take out. He put two employees on to get it done. In a rush both added salt and I ended up very salty kebabs at home. I called Usman. He tried same kabab and called me back. Explained what happened, apologized, and that night he made new kebabs and brought it to my house 35 miles away at 10 pm. I must say that was service beyond I expected. I showed up and the place was not busy at all. I placed an order and was told to wait 20 mins. I went to the store next door and 20 mins after, I show up and they never made my order. The individual at the register said they would make it asap (took 25 mins to make lol). So almost an hour after placing my order I received my food. sadly, what I believed to be fresh since they had essentially just made it. Worst customer service, stale chicken biryani. We were searching halal meat shop to buy chicken leg pieces and found this while traveling. It had 4 stars on Yelp. The exterior was clean. We found that they have ready to eat dishes and decided to buy chicken biryani. Since we didn't want to wait, and had come to buy only halal meat in the first place, we asked twice if we need to wait sometime for chicken biryani, the cashier told us it's ready. Then the wait started, we were waiting and saw that the meat wasn't handled as they do in other meat shops, meanwhile they kept saying we are making biryani. Either employees are confused or don't care about customers. They didn't care about wearing masks. Our meat was weighed and left in some corner while their biryani was "getting ready". Meanwhile I saw a guy who probably bought meat from this store but came back and was complaining about something, his meat packet was taken and dumped in a corner.another customer bought meat, paid for his order, his meat was measured and dumped in a corner. Finally when we got our biryani and opened at home, we found that they had mixed stale biryani with good one. Threw it away. I assumed they were having a bad day, but when I read each review in detail on google, I found that people had posted similar issues like mine or even worse since couple months and looks like this business doesn't care. I would not shop here as I recently did purchase some goat liver but when upon opening the pre-packed goat liver it was stale and smelled really bad which is harmful for consumption. these guys are bringing dirty and unhealthy business practices to the USA. moreover do not ever purchase any marinated meat because they are mostly leftover meat so when they are marinated they don't smell bad but they are unhealthy for consumption and they look tempting because of the food colors they use. read more

Not a very customer friendly place, like other desi places. I have been here multiple times, currys are good. I ordered food today, it was a online order. I get there late 30mins and still they had no clue about the food. Well waited there after asking multiple times, because I had already paid online. Some how they gave me food. When I get home, find Tandoori chicken leg was burnt/ black charred. The keema naan was not well cooked. Surely they could have done a better job. read more
