The wait time was ridiculously long. We ordered at the kiosks and waited over 30 minutes for our food. During that time, the staff never acknowledged us, and we had to make several attempts to get someone's attention just to ask about our order. The food ended up being good but not enough to justify the long wait. The dining area was also a letdown. I was mainly there to get halal goat. Goat prices were reasonable and meat was fresh. I keep going back here to get goat meat. Once I tried the whole chicken, which was like $17. They were nice enough to skin and cut it. But I found it was mostly bone, with desirable meaty pieces missing. The grocery store had several middle eastern products, which all looked interesting. There was also Gol persian ice cream. They had a reasonably priced food menu as well. I love the Egyptian items in the menu the most. Hawawshi is my favorite. Chicken kofta kabob skewer was good. Beef/lamb shawarma wrap was ok. It didn't have much flavor. They give a garlic sauce (Toom) as side. That is super flavorful. Everything tastes better with it. This seems like a grocery store but what it's really known for is their grill with made to order meals. There's a cute little spot wrapped around the side where you can order from a kiosk. The decor is so comfy and cute, with complimentary tea as well. The grape dolmas I got were so yummy but I definitely will come back to try some more food from here. The meat was fresh, well-packaged, and clearly handled with care. It's not always easy to find good-quality halal veal locally, so this was a great find. I got intrigued to try Fatima Bazaar grill after seeing it on TikTok. The market itself appears popular, but I found it less well stocked than many other Middle Eastern markets in the area. They do have what looks to be a very dynamic halal butcherie. There was a sign at the meat counter advertising Bengali fish, so interesting to see that multiple diaspora communities are being served by this market -- though looks like it's dna is Egyptian. Ordering was confusing, as there are no signs, but eventually I found out you order on an iPad. The POS system was easy to navigate. A kind, helpful man who I assumed was the owner let me know my food was ready in the eating area outside, on the right to the back. This was my favorite part of the experience; the outdoor seating area is cute and comfortable, and efforts have been made it to make it welcoming, with a complimentary tea station (unfortunately the water was not hot at that moment, ugh), couches, tv, Middle Eastern lights, Egyptian tunes. I'm not the biggest fan of Amr Diab, but when in Rome right? I tried kubbeh and a kofta kabob plate. It seemed like a good value, at only $25 for the plate and the kubba together, which was a lot of food. Kubbeh was enjoyable -- not mind blowing, but good. Same with the kofta plate. Legit. Kebabs had a nice char, hummus was earthy, yellow rice had a subtle taste of cardamom. It came with a chopped salad, tahini sauce and a little side of olives and shipka pepper. I was delighted to see the olives; I really enjoy a lot of accompaniments with Middle Eastern food. I finished the meal with a mini Dubai chocolate bar from the store. The texture with the kataifi was good, but the chocolate wasn't great quality, and pistachio flavor was lacking. read more

I would rate this place 3.5/5. I ordered online and came to pick up my order. It's tucked in the back portion of the market. There's a little section next to the butcher meat display for pick up. The staff weren't really friendly or approachable. I got the falafel wrap and I would say the falafel was very yummy (crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside), but they douse it with a ton of tahini. I don't even think that added any garlic sauce. I wish they also had a sweet pomegranate glaze or a chili hot sauce of some sort to make it less one dimensional in terms of flavor. I'd be down to check this place out again, but probably not anytime soon. read more

I saw another man approach the counter with his order receipt and employee said he would find him outside on the patio and deliver his food to him. It's unclear if orders are typically received at the window outside, but I still waited inside for my order. I checked on my order again, and the employee was preparing a pita sandwich, not my kebab combo, so I showed him the receipt again. He apologized, but said he can start making my beef kebab combo (the fries and drink were ready). As I saw the employee assembling my wrap, I noticed he wasn't wearing gloves. Im hopeful there must be a hand washing sink in the kitchen that isn't visible to me. My food was good but this runaround to get my order was frustrating. It would be helpful to make it clear if customers need to bring the receipt to deliver the order to the kitchen, or if orders at the kiosk will be automatically received. I feel robbed to have been missing out on koshary in my life until now- this was so good imagine like spaghetti but 100x better. I did some googling and koshary should be naturally vegan, the menu isn't labelled but I have no reason to think that it wasn't. Through a Yelp search, I found this store and found the shredded Filo dough in the freezer section area, almost towards the corner of the store. If I remember correctly, they had at least two or maybe three different brands of Kataifi (shredded Filo dough) Then, as I walked down the aisle in search of pistachio butter, I found a steel rack with three different versions of pistachio in a jar. I think it was pistachio butter, pistachio cream, and I just can't remember the third one. If someone can let me know I will gladly update this review. . The price range from $12.99 to maybe $15.99 a jar. As I was searching, I came across so many other products I would love to go back and purchase. I even saw spice mixes for paella and I love making paella. I make it from scratch however it never hurts to have a spice mix or other products in one's pantry. I also sell lots of sweets like cookies, teas, spices candy, etc. I didn't get a chance to tour the whole store but the next time I will certainly walk every aisle and purchase my favorites or the ones I am curious about.. When I was checking out that same nice lady helped me. I even said to her that I bet you could tell what I'm making... She started to smile and giggle and said yes. I shared with her that I went to bakery and they were selling it for $20 a bar and she kindly offered the ones sitting right there at the register. I went to Fatima Bazaar to get whole chicken and had the worst experience ever. At the meat counter there were two men working. They both saw me and completely ignored me, no greeting or acknowledging. There's a hand written note on the counter saying I'm helping someone and wait for five minutes. I waited more than ten minutes and still got no response. Those guys were rude to say anything, totally ignored and then disappeared. Finally one of the guys probably one of the owners or partner, told me to wait. I asked for how long coz your sign says five minutes and I'm waiting for more than fifteen minutes. He simply said "I don't know ". I was shocked and asked him, who knows then how long I would have to wait. He again replied with a blank face " I don't know ". That was it!!! The entire staff is nonprofessional and fu**ed up. They don't know how to manage the business and customers in the United States. And they don't want to adapt to get better. Their mindset is still that the people will wait in lines for items and then payment. "Baquala" style checkout counter is a disaster. A reasonable waiting time is not a problem but "I don't know " is not acceptable in this country. They never found a professional butcher since they have opened the store. Whoever cuts the chicken, makes a mess. Either they cut big pieces or smash the pieces like 1-2 inches. Even though I tell them how many pieces I want. Terrible staff and horrible customer service. I'm sure they can afford two butchers to do the better job. If not, they should close the meat section and focus on their restaurant business instead (which I see people are complaining about too). read more

Most of the staff don't speak English, which makes ordering and communication difficult. One employee went on office lunch during my break. I only had a 45-minute lunch break, and he used the entire 45 minutes, which caused me to get late. There was one Urdu/Hindi-speaking employee who had no manners when talking to customers--very rude and unprofessional. Another employee served me fries from a bowl and then started eating with the same hand in front of me, did not change gloves, and his apron was extremely dirty. I first visited Fatima Bazaar about six months ago and met the owner, a very kind gentleman who even gave me a tour of the store. On that first visit, I tried one of their Egyptian meat pies -- absolutely delicious, unlike anything I had ever had before. Today I stopped by again and ordered the falafel salad. The portion was generous -- plenty of falafel, a fresh salad base, a side of olives, and even an extra serving of hummus. It came with two packs of ketchup, which I'm guessing might be a substitute for harissa. I didn't realize until I got home that there wasn't any harissa included -- not sure if they normally serve it with the salad or not -- but honestly, the dish was still excellent. At around $13, total after tax and tip it's a very substantial and satisfying meal. Beyond the prepared food, they also carry fresh fruits and vegetables at great prices, and it's convenient to be able to pick those up at the same time. Parking can be a little tight, but it's worth the effort. Overall, Fatima Bazaar is a wonderful spot with tasty food and warm service -- highly recommend stopping in. Came here pre jummah and we placed order at 12:01, the staff said it would be ready at 20min, but after 30min they said another 10min was needed, finally after 40min total got it. We had ordered 2 chicken shwarma wrap combo and 2 pita lamb shawarmas. The food could have been better. My friends enjoyed their pita meal but the chicken shawarma wrap could be better. The chicken was bland and not marinated, and the bread used was not firm snd kept breaking over. The fries were decent, seating outdoors was good. They played Quran which is better than music but they should not keep it out playing since pol are talking and quran turns into background sound when it should be listened to, so would recommend they play it indoors and not outside if ppl are there but الله أعلم Would recommend they change some stuff off their menu, if they have simple but good beef burgers that would be a nice addition read more

One thing that irks me is bad customer service. I went in to pick up food, and I went to the meat counter. There was a gentleman behind the counter, assisting a gentleman as I walked in. He looked at me, I smiled and had noticed. And then another worker walked close to where I was. We made eye contact, but he just turned and walked away. When the gentleman behind the counter was done helping the customer that was there before me he went in the back and disappeared. She said nothing to me, didn't acknowledge me. He didn't say I'll be right with you nothing. And then there was a woman back there, she and I also made contact, but she just kept doing her work. I made eye contact with three employees.
