I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Mastech Performance in Doral, and I strongly advise against taking your vehicle to this shop. Despite being recommended by a Toyota service representative, my 2021 Toyota Tundra received subpar service, resulting in both financial and emotional distress.
Initially, I brought my truck to Mastech Performance for minor dent removal and a ceramic wax treatment, giving a $1,400 deposit. After three days, the owner requested an additional $1,000, which I refused to pay until the work was completed. Upon returning after two weeks, I found several buffer circles still visible and the dents not properly addressed. Shockingly, the total charge for this incomplete service was $4,200, and I noticed my vehicle had been driven due to the increased mileage. The owner asked me to bring the vehicle back later to fix the imperfections, which I reluctantly agreed to and paid in full.
A week later, after someone hit the side of my truck, I returned to Mastech for another repair. The owner quoted me $2,800 for fixing the new dent and took a $700 deposit. After leaving my vehicle for a week, I found it in worse condition than before. The dent was still there, the truck was repainted poorly, and there were burn marks on the hood and driver's side. Additionally, the 4x4 sign on the truck was removed.
I confronted the owner about the poor workmanship and his lack of honesty. Despite the evident issues, he refused to refund my $700 deposit. I then took my truck to the Toyota Collision Center, where they confirmed that the wrong paint had been used, the ceramic wax was not genuine, and the overall work was of very poor quality.
In total, I spent a considerable amount of money for shoddy repairs and unprofessional service. I strongly recommend avoiding Mastech Performance in Doral. They lack the necessary skills and integrity to handle auto repairs properly. Save yourself the frustration and find a more reputable shop for your vehicle. read more
