I would actually give this negative stars or zero. The musics was great which is the only nice thing we have to say. After being seated without menus for 35 minutes our fire pit table was finally lit. We waited about an hour before they took our order. We had already checked the menu and knew what we wanted. After another hour of waiting for our food because our appetizers never came. Our food was cold and not prepared the way we had asked. Our server never came to check on us except for a water refill towards the end. Never asked if we wanted dessert and actually gave us the bill while we were still eating. Waited 40 minutes to be seated on a All u can eat burger, hotdog, chicken night that was coming off an outside grill. Hour and a half later we are still waiting on food from the menu. Management needs to offer the all u can eat only and not the menu. We decided menu because the line was exceptionally long for the all u can eat and was closing at 7 Food arrived at 733. We were told the wait would be one hour, then it took an hour and 45 minutes for us to a table. We were then told it would take 20 minutes for our food to get made and we waiting for another hour. Then upon the waitress bringing us our food, she dropped on of our wings on the floor. Luckily the manager was able to give us 50 percent off for all our waiting and dissatisfaction and we got our food to go. Then we got home and realize we're missing two orders of fries, bbq sauce we asked for, and an order of wings we asked to be boneless were full of bones. Horrible experience with this place, the staff was very nice but that doesn't make up for everything else. The food was really good and different. The bacon wrapped jalapeño appetizer was OUTSTANDING! The drinks were very weak but I understand it's due to liability at the ski lifts and all that. So don't waste money on those. read more

Our family of 6 tried out Base Camp for lunch today. First off, thought we were going to sit inside, inside meaning air conditioning on this 89 degree day, but they sat us "inside" in their yurt with a huge industrial fan blowing on me as I tried to eat. Prices are way too much for poor quality. For starters we tried the pretzel, calamari and bbq nachos. All ok but nothing to write home about. Main meal I ordered big grilled cheese and tomato soup. Sandwich had zero flavor and was hard and burned. Soup had to be Campbell's from the can. Fries were over cooked and had no flavor. Pretty disappointing all together. Not sure if other choices would be better but what we ordered left a lot to be desired. read more

The view is pretty nice looking up the mountain watching mountain bikers come out. We waited a while for a table to get bussed but our server did it himself after we moved to get a table with an umbrella. They are short staffed due to covid so I'm mainly writing this review to give the staff a little credit for making due as a response to slow service. I found the pace fine. Our server was really friendly and helpful and came back to check on us regularly. He recommended the nachos with the pulled pork which they smoke on site. I thought it was really pretty good and hit the spot. The shrimp pasta was okay but a bit heavy on the cream. Flatbread was okay, nothing to write home about but not bad. They have beers and mock tails that are pretty good for those who just want a chill drink but don't want alcohol. I can't claim all the food to be good but I would raise the overall rating for this place. read more

Seriously one of the best on slope bars I have been to. Wes at the bar you would expect Just some average bartender slipping beers. No this guy actually takes pride in his drinks and his bar above and beyond for a happy customers. My friend and I had a pretty good time here. We loved the location of the restaurant and enjoyed our barbecue nachos and the shrimp and chorizo flat bread was also pretty good, although neither were spectacular. The live music was a great addition to the night as well. That being said I was disappointed that they were out of the ingredients for quite a few of their alcoholic drinks. I had a taste for a mule and they said that they were out of the ginger syrup, which was unfortunate. I decided I would try another drink on the menu (a lavender drink) and they were also out of the ingredients. I ended up getting a pineapple and jalapeño cocktail and fortunately that hit the spot. The service was good and I would definitely come back to this restaurant, but it could use some improvement. read more

At lunch we waited an hour to get our food and when we received it my sister's burger was burnt and I was given the wrong food. We decided to try it again for dinner and again I had a poor experience. My family received their food and the waiter forgot to put my order in, the bar was busy so I never received my wine. Came here for the wine down Wednesday with a party of 6 including one child and Ashley took excellent care of us. Everyone's food was delish! The social distancing provided is absolutely within the VA restrictions and keeps patrons safe. The wine down Wednesdays are a must! We made a reservation through Yelp but when we arrived the gentleman said they didn't take reservations. We sat in the tent part and it was extremely hot. Thankfully some fans were going. My son doesn't drink soda but luckily the waiter allowed my boyfriend to go buy him a juice at the store. The waiter was nice but stretched thin so we rarely saw him. Just plain terrible service. Perhaps the very worst service I have ever had in my entire life. Just wanted to have a beer and listen to the live music. Had to wait 25 minutes just to be able to enter the bar area after another couple walked right in when the hostess/ host was away from the front desk. Finally got a table which we really didn't want just wanted a drink and listen to the music, sat there for at least 15 minutes before our waitress/waiter came to the table to take our drink order, the musician either was done for the night or was taking a break after another 15 minutes at least still no drinks ordered a bloody mary and a Miller light in a bottle didn't see anyone making a bloody mary got up and left and will never ever go back. The trout on the salad was cold and the so called "salad" was just 6 pieces of lettuce with some shredded carrots. It was horrendous. I didn't realize you had to wait for a greeter to seat you and I sat down at an unoccupied table.
