Visited this restaurant while staying at Massanutten Resort. It's a small, well run establishment. It was clean. We ordered the medium pizza, half cheese, half pepperoni and a half Caesar salad. The service was great. It wasn't really busy on a Sunday afternoon. The pizza was delicious. My daughter said it was the best pizza ever! It was reasonably priced too. The food is overpriced for what is served. The full size salads are the size of a side salad, the calzone had two slices of ham in it. Management will try to argue with you when you point this out, but unfortunately for the manager, she was unable to back up her argument. She let me know she believes her salad to be of better quality in size than many places in town. When I asked her to name one of those places, she was not able to. She just repeated herself. I haven't eaten in days. I stumbled upon this place looking for fresh elk. But I was surprised and ate a slice of pizza from Silvia, the nice Sicilian owner from Palermo, which with onion and pepperoni. It was very fairly priced because it came a drink. It was a great deal when I began eating. It reminded me of authentic Italian pizza from when I lived in Italy. The food and service were great. We did carry out. The staff was really nice and helpful in answering our questions about the menu. They had a few tables when you walk in, and a dining area in the back. I got a Mediterranean pizza on a gluten-free crust. It was really good. The Caesar salad was not good at all. No cheese on it and definitely bland. And when we entered the restaurant there was literally no one there at all. No business...we were the only customers in the restaurant. Maybe that was a sign. When we entered we were not even greeted properly, we were just told to have a seat. Went to Massanutten for one night and was craving pizza. The restaurant at the resort didn't take our call for take out. So glad they didn't, b/c Vito's was yummy. The salad was SO fresh. Loved the dressing with lots of herbs. Are all the salad before the pizza or fries. Hence we took most of the pizza back to the condo and heated back up. Eating hot pizza was delicious. We got he x-large Saprano pizza and an order or fries. We originally had placed a take out order, but the resort was a drive and we were starving, so we sat inside and started to eat our food. A server came and offered plates and utensils and drinks. Again, we were so hungry, we just sat and started to eat. LOL. The service we did receive was so friendly. I bet if we actually ordered there and got a table first, our experience would have been really nice. Next time, for sure. read more

I would Veto Vito's Pizza. Found on Yelp since it was close to our resort. Made to go order. Pizza was just ok, its brick oven type so bottom was burnt a tad & but still flimsy. Pretty much thin crust like it didn't rise at all. Opposite of like a Pizza Hut crust. Not crispy /greasy but more dry & crunchy. Needed dipping sauce to muscle it down. Eggplant Parmesan was good tasting but you couldn't even tell it was breaded since it was so mushy. Pasta was cooked good and sauce was flavorful but needed a bit more in container. Caprese salad was fine, but instead of balsamic glaze it had a side of balsamic dressing. Also the side of crostini that came w/ pasta was tad over toasted on edges & inedible. The worst part was we took food to park & set out all the food & then realized no flatware & napkins. So had to go back for it and food was cold by then. You'd think they'd remember since to-gos is mostly their thing. read more

Worst pizza in America! I am convinced they get their pizzas frozen and throw them in the oven. I didn't like the pizza at all. Flat crust like card board and bland taste. The bottom of the crust was over cooked and the top of the crust was not cooked and still gooey. The peppers and the pepperoni were not cooked. Because the pizza was not cooked in the center at all it fell apart when picked up and I had to eat it with a fork. Sauces makes a pizza. There sauce was either not present or was just terrible and tasteless. This is probably frozen pizza thrown into an oven. If you want good pizza, do not come to this place. I spent $20 on this pizza and I ate one slice of it because it was not cooked properly and tasted terrible. The server or the cook should have checked this pizza. We will not be going back. Used to be regulars here; however the service and quality have really gone down. We were one of only three other people (2 other tables) total on a Friday night. The server acted like we were an inconvenience and didn't get our order correct, so we requested for part of it to be removed from the bill (we didn't eat it). And, our personal rule is to never send food back. They did remove the item from the bill. And we paid $18.36 for garlic knots and 3 sodas (which we didn't get refills because we didn't stay for the pizza). While we rarely do this, because I have been a server, I purposely decided not to leave a tip because we would be going elsewhere for dinner (impromptu progressive dinner). Three days later when I reconciled my account, they had helped themselves to a tip! This is credit card fraud. The owner did give the tip back to me in cash; however, didn't produce my original signed slip. Check your receipts, it might be happening to you! read more

Tonight I dined at Vito's with a group of six people for a committee meeting of my church. Our server Tony was friendly and funny. I've seen him every time I've eaten at Vito's and he's always been very personable. Our food was good. I enjoyed a blackened chicken grinder with fries. It was tasty and filling!
