I think it was one of the best waffles I ever had. The server was nice. I also liked the ambience because it felt cozy and happy inside. The only thing is it was kind of expensive, but the food was so good that I didn't even mind that much. I would totally go there again for waffles!

The ambience, vibe and service were great. We ordered the Sizzling Beer Burger. The waitress disclosed it was a 30 minute wait for it and it came out exactly as she said. It came sizzling in a hot cast iron pan. The burger was cut in half and sitting on that cheese. It was definitely a unique, but awesome way to eat a burger. 5 stars there. I ordered the Windmill Pasta light on the cheese. It was good, but wished it was warmer. I don't know if they held my dish until the burgers came out to bring altogether at the same time, but it just wasn't hot. Another person in my party ordered a pizza and liked it, but not wowed by it. Just a basic pizza. Overall, I would come back and try other menu items. At least, it saved us a dark drive outside of the Massanutten Resort.

I recall that last year I was able to get a screwball and Diet Coke, which was really yummy but this year I ended up with a green bold rock cider. I saw that they predominantly sell cans of wine, cans of beer and the occasional mimosa or bloody Mary, but no options for bar drinks or otherwise liquor options. They still offer some easy to grab snack snacks like Cheetos and Doritos The fire pit is still roasting and warm, and I will always continue to stop here in the future during our days on the slope I noticed that at the bottom towards the entrance of the slopes they have a new yacht pagoda like bar that they recommended for us to grab any cocktails :)

All within the course of 20 minutes... talk about a power trip. We explained to him how we were not comfortable going down alone and he told us to get over it. I then refused to go alone, so he made me walk down the treacherous and icy mountain.... Instead of calling for a snow mobile to come get me or pausing the lift to let me walk down the ramp. I was forced to walk down this huge mountain and almost fell several times while being stared at by all the other customers. This was humiliating. The only good part of the experience was that they gave us a full refund since they were ashamed of his behavior. The food and drinks at the lodge are crazy expensive and not good. A $15 breakfast burrito with low quality ingredients? No thank you. Very commercialized lodge. Not a nice ambiance. I would definitely not recommend.

The next day, we stopped by Cave Hill Farms Brewery for some well-earned food and drinks. This was my third visit, and overall, it was another good experience. The pretzel bites and nachos were both solid, and we ordered two different chicken nugget options--one super mild (no sauce) and the other packing a nice spicy kick. The beer selection was great, and chatting with Wendy behind the counter was a highlight. She's the kind of person every brewery or restaurant needs--funny, welcoming, and just plain awesome. Only a couple of minor misses: they weren't offering beer flights because the dishwasher was down (I even offered to help wash the glasses, but no go), and they were out of shredded pork, which would've been great on the nachos. Still, nothing that would keep me from coming back. There are a lot of great spots in the area, but Cave Hill Farms Brewery remains one of my favorites. I'll definitely be back for visit #4.

I enjoyed my meal, I just wish there was more meat. Everyone in our group devoured their meals. I had one of the ribs my wife ordered and there was a lot of meat on the bone/very tasty. I would definitely recommend the Log Cabin Barbecue. A+ service, and tasty food. Definitely a must visit in the Shenandoah Region.
