i've been going to Massage Villa for a couple of years now. I generally ask for Heidi. She is an exceptional masseuse. She also does amazing facials. The spa has a super friendly staff and is spotlessly clean. Highly recommended. read more

Heidi is SO GOOD and thorough! I showed her where it was hurting and she really focused and helped me feel better!! I had the 60 minute massage with the 30 minutes added for the feet and it was WONDERFUL!! This is my 3rd time visiting Massage Villa and I highly recommend them!! The spa is also clean and comfortable. They also have ongoing specials, so make sure to ask them about it. read more

I was a loyal customer at Massage Envy for years, but after discovering Massage Villa, I have never gone back. The first thing you notice when you walk in is how incredibly clean, fresh, and pristine the entire space is. It immediately sets a relaxing and comfortable tone for the visit. If you need a true, intense deep tissue massage, you absolutely have to book with Nina. She is incredibly strong and has the perfect technique to get deep into stubborn knots that most places can never seem to release. She genuinely listens to what your body needs and delivers an amazing, therapeutic session. If you are looking for a spotless environment and a top-tier massage that actually works out the tension, skip the big chains and come here instead! read more

Excellent massage. I got a lymphatic and deep tissue combo. Ivy did a great job. It was super relaxing.

5 years coming here! Great services and great specials. Thanks to these lovely ladies for their service.

I have been coming here for 13 years and it truly feels like a home away from home. The owner and staff are very sweet and professional. My main masseuse at the moment is Nina, but I just got a massage from Amy and it was also fantastic. I usually do a 75 minute massage that includes hot stones for $80. They offer a host of treatments such as lymphatic drainage massage, facials, cupping, and wood therapy. I have not tried the fancy stuff because I am happy with a basic Swedish massage which is the standard technique at Massage Villa. But they can also do deep tissue and even walk on your back if you really want to get all the knots out. They recently remodeled and the place is very appealing to walk into. They have a quiet ambiance and a good selection of different music mostly piano solos. All the masseuses speak English and are very accommodating. The best thing for me is that they take same day appointments and they usually have someone available. read more

My first massage here. Came in last night as I had been super ill with Ozempic poisoning and had been in bed for almost 3 days when I wasn't being actively ill. Every part of me was achy and sore. Laughing hurt. I was feeling well enough to finally go outside and called Massage Villa. They were super nice over the phone and said they could take me right away, but only for a half hour as they were closing. The half hour felt longer as my masseuse, Nina, was able to do a lot in that short time. She could intuitively feel where things hurt on me and gently worked out the muscles without hurting me. My back even cracked - without her doing anything to crack it- as my muscles relaxed and it fell back into place. It was kind of a miracle, because within 30 mins I walked out with no pain. I for sure would come here again and do a longer massage. The establishment was fairly barebones, but nice enough and the massage was better than any I have had in a long time. Plus it's super convenient. read more

I would easily call Massage Villa the absolute best massage place in town. I go there almost every single week, and I always feel completely refreshed and great right afterward. The overall customer service they provide is top-notch. In particular, I absolutely love Mina and Jennifer. They consistently deliver the highest quality service, and I truly have nothing but positive feedback for them both. I highly suggest booking an appointment at Massage Villa if you want an amazing experience. You definitely will not regret choosing them for your regular relaxation. read more

I love this place. I saw Nina and she's always stellar! But my fiance was seen by a different massage therapist tonight and she wasn't very good. He said he felt like she was just poking him and not doing much. When we paid, he decided to give his massage therapist $5 less than we normally tip. He was extremely disappointed with the service. But when his massage therapist saw how much I gave Nina, she called us back (we were already on our way to the door) and said "it doesn't match!" and waved her tip next to Nina's tip. She seemed pissed. So he turned around, got out his wallet and gave her an extra $5. We left and he said "I'm never coming back here again". read more

lovely experience, peaceful music and nice service. they offer snacks and coffee and water after a massage incase you leave feeling hungry or thirsty. would definitely come again for a longer experience read more

Clean space and relaxing vibe. I called just before arriving and they had time. Places like these tend to want cash which I happened to have and they seemed to appreciate. It was a little strange that the employees were talking to each other through separate rooms and whilst one was giving me a massage, but it didn't bug me. Would go back. read more

Had a lovely 60 minute massage here! They can get pretty busy with walk ins so I highly recommend making an appointment so you don't have to wait. I checked in for my appointment and was taken back within a few minutes. They did kind of leave me hanging out for a bit before they came to start the service but it wasn't too long. The massage itself was exactly what I needed. I'd been dealing with some neck and back pain and the masseuse knew exactly where to work to ease the tension. It was also fairly inexpensive ($60) because this place it pretty much no frills but for what I needed, it was perfect. The walls are pretty thin so you could hear everything including people walking in at the front so it's not the kind of place to go if you want a real peaceful and spa-like experience. Definitely recommend if you're just looking for a cheap place to work out all of your knots! read more

My friend called at 10a and we were accommodated for an afternoon appointment same day on a weekend. The good: - seems pretty clean - massage was decent - no stinky scents used with massage oils - kind staff - massage rooms have relaxing music playing - has a restroom in the way back - parking lot in the back - free 2 hr street parking in front of store - they take Venmo and credit cards with a $3 fee added-on - prices are decent - comfy 2 single sofas in waiting room The not so great: - not sure if the lady was the owner but initially was welcoming and told to wait a second but then after a few minutes just got super impatient O_O especially after having to clarify what we had seen we'd wanted - we wanted the couples massage but the lady told me we couldn't get it, and yet an hour later they had some other couple have one booked :/ - won't honor Yelp check in deal (seemed really unclear as to the stipulations and just said No) -- why not update it on the site?! - won't honor any specials on the Yelp or website on weekends (apparently!? But again, this isn't clear) - $3.00 charge for credit cards - so steep - masseuse kept going in and out of room to greet people -- uhhh what?! - thin walls / doors and could hear lots of outside noises making it more difficult to relax - waiting room only tiny enough for 2 people to sit Overall, didn't feel very welcomed at this place and more transactional. I may give it another try at a future time but I'm not convinced it will be my usual spot. read more

Never had I wanted to leave a massage parlor so fast. My friend gifted me a giftcard to use for Mother's Day because she knew how much my body's been aching since birth. I wanted to give this place a try and I wish I never chose this place. SOOOO many interruptions. People were walking in from the front and my masseuse would leave in the middle of my massage ..TWICE! Then her phone rang twice that she had actually picked up and talked. Not only that stopped to read and respond to text. Obviously I was NOT relaxed but I don't think I should make it an excuse for being a one man team. $70 for 4+ interruptions is unacceptable. I tipped her very little for something I knew wasn't worth it and I usually generously always tip when people do a good job and she had the audacity to say out loud to me that I tipped very little. So I had to be bluntly tell her she kept leaving the room and interrupting the massage and that I wasn't relaxed. The 75 minute massage wasn't for deep tissues either. It's a normal massage so I need to find a new massage parlor that's worth it my money and help relax my mind and body. read more

I love this place, massages excellent , however I do not like to feel shamed or pressured into tipping half the service cost, when I was already giving 20 percent. Do better guys ! read more

The massage was kind of rough but that's what you get with a deep tissue massage. Definitely worked on those knots. 3 stars because they did not honor their $55 for 75 minutes with a yelp check in and the 75 min massage for $75 comes with hot stone OR body scrub, not both. read more

Massage Villa - Pricing - Massage Near Me - South Pasadena, California

Short Description: Massager: Eva. Attentive, and followed instructions (no touch areas) Massage emphasized: Upper Torso (Head, Scalp, Neck, Back), but covers the full body (legs, feet, fingers). Parking: Good! It shares a parking lot with a supermarket so plenty of spaces are available. Pricing: Reasonable! They also have ongoing deals and promotions. I did the hot stone massage for $ 65 for 75 minutes (promotion) and tipped $ 15 (~20%). Yes, they do charge $3 for credit cards, or you can pay through Venmo. This is normal business practice (credit card companies charge the business a fee so they are simply passing this fee onto the customers). Hot Stones Temperature: Just the way I like them! Perfect temperature. Environment: Clean, Modern General Tips for Folks: #1: Every massage place has their own style of massage, and each client has a preferred style of massage. Don't be afraid to experiment and find out which massage style you like the best. Just because you didn't like the massage doesn't mean it was a "bad" massage. It just didn't match your preferences. #2: If known, request your preferred massage roughness level (soft, medium, hard). The masseuse doesn't know what you like and they certainly can't read your mind. Additionally, keep in mind that each person has their own perspective of roughness, so don't be afraid to give feedback during the massage about what feels right for you. #3 If you have a no-touch area, I would recommend telling them about the area when they are approaching it. You can tell them at the beginning of the massage, but they might not remember. After all, they are focusing on the massage technique, rhythm, and roughness. Longer Description: This is the first time I tried this location. I was drawn to the clean, professional, and modern atmosphere. I also saw they had promotions. Eva was fantastic and I enjoyed the style of massage. She had to leave the room a couple of times during the massage to get the hot stones & towel, but that is expected because that's how they keep things warm. I had a healing finger so when she was starting to massage that hand I told her to skip that particular finger and she understood. :) She also asked if it was okay to massage my leg that had a scar on it and I said it was. Overall, I appreciated that she checked in with me on how I was doing, and acknowledged when I either asked her to go softer or to avoid an area. read more

Massage Villa - Massage time! Absolutely love this place ! - Massage Near Me - South Pasadena, California

Went in for a 45 min massage. Went into the room at 3:18pm. Massage started maybe at 320pm (maybe a little over). They stopped exactly at 350pm and the lady kept claiming she did 45 min. She said we started at 315pm. And obviously, the math still doesn't add up even if we had started at 315pm. They also charge you $3 if you use card to pay. The massage itself wasn't bad but there are plenty of other places that are probably better. read more

Despite my love for massage therapy, I find that I seldom reward myself with a massage. In my mind, I'd rather reward myself with delicious food. Yes, that's my inner fat girl talking. This time around, however, I decided to indulge in a much needed massage after touring the city of Pasadena all day. It was a last minute decision but luckily Massage Villa was able to accommodate me and they took me in 10 minutes after I called. When I got there, I was greeted immediately by Jennifer W.! I explained to her that I saw their reviews on Yelp and that I wanted to take advantage of their 75 minute massage special for $45. She happily complied and walked me over into one of the open massage rooms. This place is dark, cozy, and the hallway was lined with colorful Christmas-style lights. If you leave a Yelp review and include a picture, you'll receive a surprise! They even have the cutest little spin the wheel game on display right as you enter. So about that massage; it was BOMBSY! This back... had knots for days! DAYS! I definitely need to get massages waaaay more often then I do. BUT... Jennifer W hooked me up! She seriously massaged the hell out of my back. It felt so good that I think I started snoring! I know because I woke myself up from it... embarrassing, yes. The massage stated that it would be a deep tissue but it was more of deep tissue and Swedish massage combination. Honestly, this worked fine for me since I probably wouldn't have survived anything too painful. I've heard those horror stories about deep tissue massages and I don't think that I'm ready for all of that yet. Jennifer W was seriously awesome! She applied just the right amount of pressure and focused on the areas that needed the most attention. You know the massage was good when you feel like it went by just like that! Well... not all the time, but I couldn't believe an hour and fifteen minutes passed by so quickly. After I was done, they gave me a bottle of water and chatted with me before I left. The staff here is super friendly. Overall, I loved my massage and I would totally come back again. read more

We have come here on multiple occasions, and have given them good buisness and great tips before, but when we tried to leave a $30 tip for 2 people today they said it wasn't enough for a 90 min massage.. I use to get a massage here every two weeks. After December, Jun or JJ are no longer there. I keep getting told they are in China. The new massage therapists do the massages using the back of their arms. Does not work for me. At the end of the tip, I was also told that the tip was not enough. Tipping is optional not mandatory. read more

Found this place on Yelp and it was close to work so I took the chance. 10/10 massage and customer service. I've been coming to Massage Villa roughly once or twice a month for the past year and have never had a bad massage. You also can't beat the pricing - I reference their "online special" which is $40 for a one hour Swedish massage with hot stones. They also have Yelp specials throughout the year (I went just yesterday for a 75 minute deep tissue massage for $45). I do not have a go-to therapist but every massage has been spot on. As long as you go in with managed expectations, you'll be good. Some reviewers mention the noise - yes the walls are very thin. But usually there are like a max of four people in the entire business so noise hasn't been an issue for me on most visits. I do hear the occasional person whispering in hushed tones or walking by the room but that never bothered me much. Plus, you get your own massage room, as opposed to the other similarly-priced places in the area where the only thing separating you and the next customer is a bed sheet. All in all, no complaints here! read more

June is an amazing masseuse! Good atmosphere and reasonable pricing. They have always had availability when I've called.

Don't go here,I recently went this past week. I paid for my massage and it was not great at all. I felt that it was done in such a random manner. When my massage is over and I pay she tells me there is a 10 dollar tip minimum, which was not true. I gave her the 10 dollar tip as I felt bad but plus I paid over 50 dollars for a 30 minute massage. This place is absolutely terrible. Try another place. Nobody should feel forced to give a tip! If I can give this place 0 stars I would. read more

I had my first massage since COVID began and it's just not the same. The masseuse wears these plastic gloves when giving the massage and it just doesn't feel the same at all, in fact, it's annoying to hear the rubber while you're getting rubbed down. This place specifically leaves the door to the room open and you can hear everything in the hallway; shoes clacking against the wood floor, people laughing and talking and things being dropped on the floor. At the end, I was so confused as to how to pay. One lady says she'll charge my card for the tip and the actual price of the massage will be paid via Venmo, but the ladies couldn't do a worse job at explaining how things work. read more
