This week, after being a member since 2013, I ended up canceling my membership at Muellar-Austin, due to Retreat Director Jackie not honoring my existing contract with the prior location (Cedar Park). I had no issues up to the recent incident at Cedar Park, which, of course, forced me to either move to another location or cancel membership entirely. The Retreat Director did not take into consideration the situation that had occurred nor did she understand. When I became a member back in 2013 up to 2015, there were no issues until requesting a tier 2. Also, I don't know if management has changed since 2013. Something clearly needs to be revamped with regard to organization management. There are other massage companies that will appreciate my business and treat me with respect. In closing, like I mentioned to the Manager at Cedar Park, things that we do in life will eventually catch up with us. No matter if it's good or bad. How we treat people: God sees all. And truth be told, it is He that we will give into account all that we do. I will NEVER go to another Massage Heights again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. I have been a member here for about 2 years and get seen for a facial and a massage every month. It's always been kind care, helpful employees and I'm always satisfied with the services. Howard is my masseuse, he is truly a special individual in all the best ways. He listens to my needs, is personable, focuses on problem areas and makes me feel comfortable during the session. I have been able to see both Sarah and Dorian for my skin care (facials) both are bubbly personalities with a very good insight in their field! I was seen by Dorian most recently and she blew me away with her confidence and attention to detail. My skin felt refreshed, pore clean and I had a glow to my face that has continued into the following days. They always find a good sports massage therapist for me. But my favorite massage therapist is Dannie. I don't like to be confrontational and in this economy I hate give anyone a bad review but I just had to say something. This was my first time visiting this business and also my first time getting a massage post Achilles rupture surgery. The front desk staff were nice and accommodating and I will even say our massage therapists seemed nice. (My husband and I were getting a couples massage) I informed the front desk staff and my massage therapist about my injury and what she could and could not do around my ankle and leg. The overall massage was disappointing to say the least, she seemed new in my opinion as it felt like she did the same move up and down my spine for about 30 minutes. When she finally made it down to my legs and notice my injury after starting rougher than I thought she would given that I told her about my injury, she decided to interrupt the service to say and I quote, "wow, you're not winning any sexy ankle contests in this lifetime." I have never in my life been so offended in the middle of a service I was paying for. Do better! My first massage post injury was a let down and the fact that that was said made me feel horrible. read more

I went in for a 60 min massage of which 30 mins was spent in moving around figuring out which oil to use. A lot of talking and not really massage inspite of asking for pressure. The lady who did massage for me was killing time and added hot stones without asking if I even wanted it. I basically went in for a massage but got a lot of bullshitting and hot stones and oil on my body without her actually straining herself to even apply minimal pressure. I started going due to low back pain that was so severe that standing still, even while washing dishes, was extremely painful. I drastically reduced my workouts and still no improvement. I saw Randi, explained what was going on, and she found that it was actually knots coming from my hip and glute area not my actual back. I started getting deep tissue massages with hot stones with Daniel and I feel 100% better. This has translated not only to me being able to function like normal but increase my strength training with no back pain. He found additional areas with knots and has been working them out gradually. At first I was nervous about having a male massage but he is very professional. I've gone back to him a couple of times and don't plan on stopping any time soon. Some people go for massages to relax, but I go to get problem areas worked on, so I can relax, and I'm not disappointed. read more

Customers beware! I came in for an appointment to have a knot massaged out. After the session I was convinced to book another appointment for a future massage with an extended time. However, after I booked that appointment they retained my credit card information and didn't notify me upfront that their would be 100% cancellation fee. They only notified me through text message and a phone call a day before. It's my mistake for not having the time to read it but, as a customer this should be brought up at the first substantial conversation about a future appointment. I won't name anyone in this but, please be careful and make sure they explain to you their cancellation policy before you book a future appointment. Terrible way of doing business in my opinion but, to each their own. Tried calling to resolve this issue and I was only met with hesitation and disrespect. read more

So I sought out massage at the advice of my Dr while suffering with a lower back herniated disc. I chose this location due to the proximity to my home. After a visit or 2 they persuaded me to join the "membership". I reluctantly joined, as I am always suspicious of such commitments. I realized that I would need frequent massage therapy for my back, and signed up for the member ship only after they explicitly told me I could cancel anytime without penalty. After a few months of good service, their service went downhill. I even had to endure an entire 1 hour session with one therapist refusing to wear a mask, and as a senior citizen with several underlying conditions, I left the session incredibly concerned that I might have been exposed to Covid. So shortly after that, I called to cancel my membership. The young girl who answered the phone argued with me and told me she would not cancel my membership. Although we changed our credit card number and pin immediately, somehow they obtained the new cc number and we just realized that they continue to charge our card monthly without our express permission to do so. This "membership" is a scam. Don't do it!!!We are getting lawyers involved ASAP. Do not go to this establishment. They do not require their therapists to wear masks during the session and obviously they are not ethical in their dealings. read more

Yet another issue with freezing/cancelling my membership. As someone who is in the industry, i'm shocked at the run around i've been getting. I canceled my appointment day of because I woke up and was running a fever. Even though their COVID protocols state you cannot come to your appointment if you are exhibiting any COVID symptoms, they still charged me 50% of my appointment cost for the late cancellation. Disappointed with this experience, I decided to go ahead and cancel my membership. Drea, at the front desk said she would have a manager email me my cancellation form. I called 2 days later to follow up as I had not received a form, and Drea, who I had spoken with about cancelling my membership just two days prior states she has no record of my cancellation request. She then says that she will send over my cancellation form but since they require a 30 day notice of cancellation I will be charged one more time. Even after confirming that my next scheduled draft date was over 40 days away from the date of my cancellation request, she still maintained that I would be charged again. Once escalated to management it was confirmed that I would not be charged for membership dues again, but management stated I had no credits left in my account which is incorrect. The therapists are great but avoid getting a membership as nobody here seems to be on the same page. Communication is lacking big time. read more

I've been coming here for a little over a year and have seen multiple massage therapists, always a good experience. Everyone has their own way but I never had anything to complain about with any of them. When I was pregnant I started seeing Michelle for prenatal massage and she is now my go to! She has some kind of way of releasing muscle tension without having to really dig in there deeply like some. Sometimes digging deep in muscles can leave me a little sore so i appreciate this. Michelle just has a way about it that works for me. We talk during my massage which I enjoy - I know this is not the norm and I'm sure she doesn't always talk to people during massage but I love our conversations about gardening, pets, family and food. I've learned a lot from her. Just wanted to come on here and show some appreciation and let others know that I 10/10 recommend this location, especially recommend Michelle but I think everyone here is great so you can't go wrong. read more

I have a reason when I get a massage that I ask for a female. Same reason I see a female doctor for my women parts. So being the paying customer when I make an appointment and ask for a female a female is what I want, being basically naked in a room a female is what I am comfortable and safe with.
