A few days after booking I realized I was unable to make the appointment, because I had family in town and called to cancel November 28th. The call went to voicemail and I left a detailed message to cancel the appointment and why I was no longer available. I never received a call back. A few weeks later I called again to try to rebook a couples massage and the call went to voicemail. I did not leave a voicemail this time as I was running errands and wanted to speak to someone about the booking. I received email for the missed appointment and was charge for $164. I called to discuss what happened and got their voicemail again. I left a voicemail for their manager to call me back and received a called from Julie a couple days later telling me she'd speak to Ben the owner about it. I sent them a screenshot of my call log, so they could see I made the calls. Julie called back to inform me that there's nothing they could do about it, except offer me half off a couples massage. Julie added they have had issues with their phone systems, but didn't know the dates they were having issues. If you are having issues with your phone system that's not my fault. You should take accountability and make it right for the customer. If you don't have a receptionist to answer calls and you have known phone system issues you need to provide others ways of booking/canceling appointments.

For those who don't know what these types of messages are, they are a specialized type of medical massage, which can help treat lymphedema, in which lymphatic fluid collects in certain areas of the body because it cannot drain away effectively. Lymphatic massage aims to improve the flow of lymph fluid, which should reduce swelling. Additionally, a lymphatic massage helps to remove toxins, bacteria, viruses, cell debris, waste, edema and pathogens away from the tissues and into the lymphatic system where it can be eliminated or cleansed. During my first appointment this week, Laurel reviewed my paperwork (health history required to be completed prior to appointment) and spoke to me about the type of lymphatic messages that she provides.
