Joy was my massage therapist, and she truly knows what she's doing. I told her that I've always struggled with tightness in my shoulder muscles, and she took the time to focus on those problem areas instead of rushing through the session. Her attention to detail and skill made a noticeable difference. I received the two-hour Thai massage, and afterward I had a much better range of motion in my shoulder and felt incredibly relaxed. The atmosphere was peaceful and calming--I was even able to fall asleep during the massage. I highly recommend Sabai Wellness Spa, especially if you're dealing with chronic muscle aches, tension, or pain. They take the time to understand your concerns and provide treatment that truly helps.

I used a Groupon here for an hour massage with aromatherapy and really enjoyed my massage. I asked…read morefor light pressure and received just that. My therapist was very professional and informative. I'd told her after most massages I'm sore and tense. She suggested drinking more water and it worked. I'm not a massage snob so I'm really uneducated when it comes to them but the therapist that day (Maybe Melanie) was very informative. I didn't receive the aromatherapy though. Oh well, this was still a pretty darn good experience.

Her sister, Melanie, is equally great, but I've only seen her once or twice and can't give a super thorough review on her or any of the recently hired therapists.) First off, let me preface this by saying I have fibromyalgia and constantly tight muscles. We're talking can't lift arms over head tight; hurts to shake my head no tight; get cramps in back after standing up for 10 minutes tight. Most of the other studios I've been to around town have never, EVER been able to get the knots out of my back. Until I found Marissa and Melanie. They previously worked at another studio in the Cedar Park area and started their own practice in 2014. Marissa is the ONLY therapist I ever saw that provided a deep tissue massage that was both intense-pressure and relaxing. I know this sounds like an oxymoron, but it is an indication that the massage is *working*. For example, I saw another therapist in the area who gave a VERY deep tissue / trigger-point massage, and it HURT. Like, my body was tensing up in response, which just gave more resistence, so he pressed harder, and it hurt more, etc. Not these ladies, though. They do legitimate deep tissue / trigger point massage that digs into your back and gets the knots out, but it is done in a way that exchanges a few seconds of discomfort for immense relief. I fall asleep every time; that's how relaxing it is. To go from "oh my gosh I hurt 10/10 all over" to snoozing on the table? That's the sign of a good massage. (Sorry for the snoring that inevitably happens, ladies.....) The -1 star is for no Marissa anymore, sob :( I do enjoy Melanie and need to try out some of the other new therapists, so a revised review may appear later.

We arrived just a few minutes before our appointments which were scheduled at opening. The receptionist (also a Massage Therapist) was there and waiting for our arrival. It is a small place with what looks like just 2 massage rooms. We were shown to our respective rooms and asked to get ready for our sessions. Shortly thereafter my Massage Therapist arrived. She did a great job with pressure and checking in to see if the pressure was satisfactory. By the the time she got to my feet foe reflexology, I was so relaxed I dozed off...maybe 3 or more times. The entire experience was relaxing and helped to alleviate some tightness/pain that I was experiencing in my lower back. I really enjoyed the treatment here and would consider coming back if I were a local.

They asked me and my partner individually to do 90 minutes even though we had reserved it for 60. We got there 15 minutes later, but had to wait an additional 15 minutes in the lobby. Would've liked to be told they were running 30 minutes late instead. The massage experience: good pressure and technique. But the overall experience was not detail oriented. The pillows/support items were placed lop-sided and I had to adjust them myself every time. It was difficult to breathe through the liner that covered the spot for the head. The amount of massage oil used was stingy - felt like it was creating more resistance than helping with it. The music kept breaking and they left it like that for like 20 minutes before fixing it. It was altogether very distracting. When I went up to pay, they charged me $146, even though they had previously confirmed over both the phone and text that it would cost $140. I was initially going to use a Groupon that cost $143, but they asked me to pay them directly instead because they would charge me less and because it would be better for the business. I was surprised to see the tips to choose from ranged from ~25 to ~35 (don't remember the actual numbers but it was shockingly high). I did not have a great experience altogether but was still planning to tip 18%. When I tried to type it up myself, the front desk lady said I had to tip 20%, she pulled out a calculator and said that would be $30 (which should have been $28 for $140). It was not a suggestion to change what I was typing. She was telling me to do so. I wasn't bothered by the few dollars, but rather the dishonesty and sneakiness behind the business. One or two wrong things can be a mistake. It was our anniversary and we were really excited to try a new spot. But we unfortunately did not enjoy this experience. We will be going back to our regular spot.

The room and massage table were just ok, but it didn't look welcoming, comforting or peaceful. The music they played was ok but the speaker kept crackling and he wouldn't turn it off and leave it off. No dim lights, no closed door. There were only two employees there. The woman took me to a room as soon as I arrived. No questions asked about what gender I prefer or what hurts or what do I want to work on. Unfortunately, she could not understand a word I asked and she couldn't tell me how to get ready. After I laid down someone started my massage but then left the room and returned leaving the door cracked about 6". I looked up to see what was going on and the man was in there telling me or asking me something. I thought he said he would do the massage. I wanted a woman but was in a difficult situation so I said ok. During my 50 minute session he answered the phone three times booking other appointments. And the massage itself was almost useless since I couldn't explain what I needed. Don't waste your money.
