I received this massage as a gift from a friend, so thankfully it was a nice surprise and one for which I didn't have to pay. As I entered the establishment, I noticed that it was clean and quiet, which I like. Even though I was late, the receptionist welcomed me in, and the masseur still provide me with a full 60-minute massage. So, real quick, I don't prefer to be massaged by a dude. I'm not homophobic or "a manly man," I just prefer a woman. I believe it's because I feel more relaxed with a woman. Nevertheless, in this experience, I received a masseur named Zack. Zack was incredible! Just his way of talking and his passion for the profession made me feel at ease. Also, I love a ton of pressure on my back and Zack was able to provide that and some. He did such a great job that I had to tip him, even though the massage was previously paid for by my friend. This was a great massage given by a professional and thorough masseur. I hate to start off low but I got to for the first time experience here. I have been needing and wanting a massage for months due to me working out and the type of job I have wearing heavy equipment on my waist and body all day and night. I know massages/facials can get expensive so I wanted to try out a few spots first before I spent too much money. So I decided to go on Groupon and see what was available. I purchase one a few months and needed to use it up before it expired. Since this place was so close to my house I was excited to see how this would go....boy was I extremely disappointed. I have gotten massages in so many places around the world and always had a great experience. I would feel so rejuvenated, relaxed, and be ready to go take a nap. But this time around....not so much. I guess I should have known this masseuse wasn't going to be good because he had a very cynical attitude from the start. He started out acted like I was late for my 7:00 appointment, but I was checking in at the front reception desk since 6:50. I was up there asking questions and getting more information on possibly getting a membership. If you was so concerned about me maybe being late why not take a trip to the front and see if the client has arrived. So after this less then stellar introduction he tried to make small talk. But again....in a very cynical type of way. Knowing I'm the last customer of the day I guess John really wasn't trying to do his best job. He told me he did "deep tissue" which I informed is good because of my shoulders, legs especially knees, and feet were my main issues. Why when he asked me why I came I said "because I'm sore from working out and my everyday job" he kind of "scoffed" as if this was a lame reason for me to come. See where I'm going with this... So the massage started and John was making all these weird sounds and noises throughout the ENTIRE session, but didn't really do anything remotely close to a massage. I get a better massage at the nail salon! He never touched my feet...acted like he couldn't do anything with my knees which I've never heard a masseuse say that before. And his supposedly special shoulder "technique" he kept emphasizing wasn't more then some pulling on my shoulder that I could have went to a chiropractor to do better. I don't know where this guy went to school because the service was horrible. I couldn't even relax and sleep like I usually do because of all this grunting and pulling he was doing. Afterwards he just left the room and I never even seen him again. This is the first time I have ever had an experience like this before and I would hope the last. Just imagine if I would have paid full price I would have felt robbed out of my money for the unpleasant experience. I was tempted to not give a "tip", but opted for $5 only because it was a Groupon and I didn't pay full price... Will I come again? Yes I'll give them a try but if John is the only one available I will pass. I like to give them the benefit of the doubt that their other masseuses are better. Took my boyfriend for a couples massage and sauna on his birthday. It was great. At first I was upset. A masseuse called out sick and they we're going to cancel our appointment. However I told them I was not canceling. They offered another masseuse Zach. I agreed and that was a blessing in disguise. My boyfriend had Zach and I had Jonathan. Hands down if I were to rate the massages 5/5 stars. My boyfriend is very tense and always anxious. He hates celebrating his birthday because of his ex. He's always anticipating the worst. Zach gave him a deep tissue and worked through his back knots. I had Jonathan. I wanted a deep tissue. Apparently that was not what I needed. I explained my medical issues to him and he worked his magic. I have only ever received deep tissue, this was different. It was almost like he was stretching my muscles while massaging. I felt great. Sauna 4/5 stars: entertainment technology didn't work I chose to do the sauna after the massages. (Didn't want the sauna first and get sweaty massages). The sauna is big enough for two. Someone else reviewed that it has Netflix. We played with the system to try. No luck. We gave up and I just played music from my phone. Additional accommodations: 0/5 The location itself is small but nice. Since we went to eat after, I was hoping to be able to shower and change. There is no locker room or showers on site. Where I wanted to go has all of that, they just didn't have any availability on the date I wanted. Since this is a corporation, this is nothing against the local spa. The review is just for the management and staff. I've booked a couples massage a MONTH in advance. My schedule is busy as it is and the only available time was this day. I used a Groupon where they then asked me for the confirmation number. Cool. A week before my appointment, they had to move my time from 1100 to 1200 I said okay. Yesterday they then called me saying they couldn't honor my Groupon since corporate decided last minute (and lack of foresight) that they were having Valentine's Day special. I asked the young lady why wasn't this a conflict during my initial booking or the second time she called to move my time..? Today they called me at 1105 to see if I was still going, perplexed since they rescheduled me for 1200?? I get there and they told me that I had some of my time reduced because of me being late??? They also had the audacity to charge people $10.00 for the snacks provided (some lame ass cookies and hue drinks). First of all, I'm not here for their last minute Valentine's Day promotion. Second corporate made the staff look like bad guys telling other customers their appointments/Groupons are now invalid. This business has gone down hill. Pass on it. read more

I've been going here for a little over year, I think, and recently cancelled my membership because I don't have the time to come every month. In an effort to use my credits I scheduled weekly massages for the next 30 days, and babbyyyy, I may have to start this membership back up. JOHN G. is magical. He is very knowledgeable (added some manual lymph drainage techniques to my massage because I recently had surgery), he is good at adapting to the deep tissue pressure you can handle, and just overall has a great attitude. I've also had Zackery previously, who was also great. Docking one star because some front desk staff need to review their contract provisions. As mentioned above, I don't have time to come in monthly, so I regularly book a longer massage and want to use two credits to cover it. Some of the front desk staff tried to tell me I could only use one credit and had to pay the additional out of pocket, which contradicts the contract terms. I shouldn't have to constantly pull out my contract to show I have a right to use two credits at once. This is the main reason I cancelled the membership. It's too much hassle to use the monthly credits as I want to. I will likely still come in to see John G., but I won't be a member. read more

1st timer....Storefront needs to be remodeled and cleaned up...dirty windows, and chips need to be addressed. The walls in the rooms are very thin, had to hear a full blown conversation during my entire massage....very disappointing especially when part of the experience is about having peaceful, soothing environment while having the massage. This was an enjoyable couples massage experience. I booked a groupon to try the place out and we were not disappointed! We had a spacious room with soothing music and pleasant masseuses. My only suggestion would be that they serve or offer tea. Maybe it's more of an athletic massage/sports medicine place but having tea offerings in addition to water definitely enhances the overall experience. Couples massage and sauna for Valentines weekend!! So hubby booked another spa but they no longer do services on Sundays so a few days ago we were scrambling to find alternative arrangements and he found Massage Green. I knew nothing about it, but he knows my taste. We arrived to a strip mall. The spa is situated between a Kumon and a Charbroil grill; so, inauspicious. We walked into a tastefully decorated if small waiting room. They were offering cookies (at 10am ) and cider for waiting guests. We were ushered into our couples room by both of our therapists right on time. The couples service room was nice! It had a stone fireplace and enough space without being too large. I told my therapist that I generally like firmer pressure, which he didn't take as a personal challenge as so many do. I told him I didn't have a preference (though in my form I'd circled my mid-back, lower back, and neck) but he spent a ton of time on my upper back, oddly focused on my left side. After a few minutes I realized he was finding and releasing knots; so, basically, his job. Lol. We should have gotten 90 minutes but the 60 was enough to be relaxed!! The tables are sooo warm, the aromatherapy is custom blended and the cream isn't overpowering in smell. We did an hour in their custom sauna after the massage and that was fantastic! They have the machines that you can set to your temperature preference and it has media built in, we listened to Pandora (nitpicky details--pay for Pandora please we don't like ads) and it was super relaxing. Definitely a good experience for a low price. The massage was neither the best or worst I've ever had, but if you're a connoisseur of those ...affordable...Massage Envy or Rubs salons, you'll find it more than satisfactory. read more

Used a groupon for this place for a couple's massage. Exceeded expectations and was very relaxing. As a caveat, I don't really like massages, I'm a big baby when it comes to pressure and I'm pretty sensitive. However masseuse was attentive and focused on my back like I asked and provided the right amount of pressure. He checked in also to make sure it was adequate pressure. My wife enjoyed the massage too in the couples room. Very relaxing, professional and enjoyable for the time. We used the infrared sauna which was nice and the robes they give you are very plush. Overall a very good experience. Cons: we booked the massage about 3-4 weeks out, but the day before we were told the male/ female combination masseuse we had was mistakenly booked as that female masseuse didn't do couples massage. So then we had two males (which wasn't a big issue) but slightly annoying as it was the day before. They offered to move the date if it was inconvenient but we had to have a different massage time. But, the lack of professional decorum by the "interim" Manager and Owner at the Woodbridge salon, gave me no choice but to immediately drop membership on my Easter Sunday. I've been waiting for the Owner to call me back to at least hear why I dropped abruptly (due to his Manager), but, he doesn't want to be bothered and told the front desk to tell me he is on vacation for the remainder of April, and he has contacted Corporate "to deal with her..." Well, no contact from Corporate either. Don't want to get into details with my issues with why I canceled my membership..... too lengthy. These fracnchised gimmic salons do NOT care about individual customer satisfaction. Only their bottom line. True Business owners with their name on the front door will take the time to deal with Customers. This owner has no skin in the game. Or afraid of dealing with people. Well, if enough like me speak their experience, maybe they'll get the message, and better train their front desk and "managers" to deal with customer concerns. Today was my first time at Massage Green Spa, I was referred to go to Peter P. & since it was my first time here they had an introductory rate of $49.99 for a full hour massage. That's such an amazing deal considering massages are $100+ at most places. Walking into the spa it was very calm, the manager and front desk was very sweet and welcoming. Paper work was quick and very thorough. My massage was with Peter, I liked that he actually read my chart and see where he should concentrate on rather then just putting it aside and start with the massage. One of the things that I really loved the most as I first laid down in the bed was that it was heated! I get cold very easily and laying in a warm bed made the massage that much better. I liked the soothing music and Peter's technique of the massage. Ive received quite a few massages/ am a former member of massage envy but when I heard about massage green spa and was recommended to Peter I decided to give them a try. Peter was stretching my arms, back, and legs while massaging them it's a pretty amazing technique. I signed up for their membership as well so i'll be back soon! read more

I have been waiting over 6 months for a refund for a charge that went through after I appropriately cancelled my membership due to moving away abroad. I contacted the Woodbridge location on three separate occasions (internationally, which is a huge inconvenience), the charge was never reversed. This week, over 6 months since I cancelled my membership, a charge went through for membership. I contacted the front desk several days ago, the manager has not yet reached out and the new charge has not been reversed. I really enjoyed my particular massage therapist but the customer service has been absolutely awful here, I don't know if it's the manager not following up or the front desk is not communicating to the manager. My massage was fantastic - a good balance between pampering and therapeutic. The location is clean, well decorated and relaxing. The receptionists were very friendly and never pushed anything on me. I did end up getting their monthly plan, but it's so affordable. Essentially I get the "first time price" each month. Plus you can cancel any time, no long term contracts. Loveddd it. For one the vibe is awesome as soon as you walk in. You already feel relaxed. My friend and I did the couples sauna first, I was wondering what we would do in there for a whole hour but they have a tablet to keep you entertained. You can go on Facebook, twitter, pandora, etc. We stuck with youtube just listening to music and then we watched a movie. One thing I wish they did have was a shower for a quick rinse after the sauna because you go to the massage room right after. The massages were amazing, my masseuse hit spots I didn't even know were there lol. And both of them were very attentive and friendly from the moment they came across us. 1. First, excellent massage by Lisa. Well done, first rate. 2. Staff were unfamiliar with how the sauna controls and all its features worked. Very inadequate instructions were provided. 3. I naively believed the sauna media equipment would work properly, so it was quite annoying when, after a perfectly relaxing massage, I got undressed and activated the sauna and... the media apps did not work. They clearly have not been installed properly, and, properly checked by management. 4. Afterward, the staff gave me an absolutely incorrect excuse that "I had to use my own accounts" for things like YouTube, when that is clearly not the case. Please note this: *I could see the video play* - but I could not hear the audio - because - again, the equipment was not hooked up properly to the stereo head unit and the speakers. (Or, there was an unexplained mystery button somewhere. ? I used to install car stereos, so I doubt that.) So in sum, I don't like the chain of errors of: great equipment; not installed properly; not checked by management; not explained to me with some kind of instruction sheet; being left naked in a sauna to figure this all out; and then at the end, being given an obviously BS and incorrect "explanation" that will in fact, guarantee at least one more customer the same unsat experience. However, Lisa did a great job. I was thrilled - prior to the sauna and the "management support" surrounding it. (And, now that I'm on a roll... I put a gratuity on my credit card (I came via the Groupon)... and had to ask for a receipt. I haven't encountered a single business that doesn't provide a receipt automatically.) Oh, and their "leave feedback" form does not work. I received two e-mails from them, and tried both. I tried submitting my feedback on their web page, and it *does nothing*. (I tried both Chrome and Edge... nothing. And so, I am now even more determined, and am going to Yelp. They have a lot of management work to do! But at least the massage was great - props! read more

Hands down the worst massage I've ever gotten. I had a an hour sauna session and an hour Massage. The front desk person walked me into the sauna and asked if I ever been to one, I said no and He just said there's a screen inside with no other further explanation. I used the screen, press the detox option and it honestly felt very gimmecky. They screen had the option to use Hulu, Netflix and etc and not one option worked. And I just laid there for about 45 minutes thinking this isn't really worth a visit, and how there were other options such as anti-aging, weight loss etc and how helpful it would have been to just have someone knowledgeable explain what the best option would be for you and how it works because I can't comprehend how any other option would have been different than just sitting in a hot little room. Well onto the massage. The entire time it felt like I paid to just have lotion rubbed my whole body -__- it wasn't relaxing but more awkward since some of the motions were wierd and did absolutely nothing and the few times they applied pressure it was painful. The masseuse barely used any lotion/oil and it felt like they were trying to waste time because at one point he literally had one finger going up my neck with zero pressure to it and did that a few times in both sides of my neck. At one point I couldn't wait for it to be over and when it was, I realized he half-assed wiped me off and I had to ask for a towel since there was still lotion and oil everywhere. Maybe the masseuse was new but I 100% would not recommend this place. I think the sauna isn't worth a visit and they need to better train their masseuse. The spa was a lovely environment and the staff were all very nice. While my therapist was very nice, she wanted to chat with me the entire session and I was there for a prenatal massage. It's unfortunate, because I went to relax and she was so nice, but I felt uncomfortable telling her I didn't want to spend an hour chatting, especially when my husband splurged and got me a massage for my physical discomfort during pregnancy. I maybe get one massage a year, because we just can't afford it (especially with a baby on the way) and the entire time I was asked a bunch of questions to keep a conversation up and I really wanted to relax.
