So I wish I could review my individual therapist as opposed to just the general location, but here it goes. I called and booked a same day appointment which was super convenient, and the booking was quick and easy. When I got to the location, the lobby was quiet and relaxing. Angela helped me check in and get the pre-massage paperwork filled out. It was done on a clean well functioning iPad. Angela was friendly and did a great job. She offered me the restroom, water, and anything else I needed. I then went to the relaxation room before the massage. I didn't want to take any pictures due to privacy issues but there were several comfortable chairs and the temperature was perfect for Texas summer heat. The TV had a massage envy promo on loop. This was unfortunately the loss of a star. The promo was five minutes long and when it refreshed it was like a dvd player from 2005. Every time it refreshed it was slightly jarring, and it happened often enough I noticed while waiting. My massage therapist was Kimber, and she came to get me from the waiting room immediately (she did clean the room and change linens/sanitize the table) after finishing with her previous client. She was wearing clean scrubs and fresh gloves when she greeted me. Gloves are new in massages to me, but make sense in the COVID era. She brought me into a clean and comfortable room and explained the process to me. I've had many massages before but it's been a couple of years. There was a panic button built into the massage table which is new to me but made sense to me. Kimber also took a few minutes to go over my specific areas of comfort. I'm not shy personally, but I have very specific areas that get tense. I asked her to do neck, shoulders, and lower legs. She asked for pressure, and I said, "firm as possible". She told me to let her know if it was too firm. Over the next hour she dug in to every single knot and point of tension specifically in the spots I cared about. I was trying to get those knots released and dug into, and she was the best therapist I've ever had. She used her elbows and focused on what I needed. I felt awful asking her to do something so physical at the end of her already seven hour shift, but she was phenomenal. I've had surgery on both shoulders and have a lot of tension and scar tissue from that. She was able to loosen and relax both shoulders without ever causing me any pain other than the pain of getting knots ground out. I cannot stress how great Kimber did for what I asked for, I've never had a therapist be that specific. All in all my experience here was excellent. Massage Envy is a chain and that always means certain things. I can only speak to my individual experience with my specific therapist and administrator. Angela was great and Kimber was AMAZING. I highly recommend this location to anyone! read more

I received a gift card which I did not use in over a year because of the bad reviews, I finally decided to give it a try and not let the gift card go to waste. The summary is, I have never been so disappointed. Warning, this would be a long read . First of all, I waited a few minutes at the entrance before someone came out to attend to me. I sat there wondering if I was supposed to ring a bell or something. I showed the lady my GC and told her it was for a 1hr massage, but she did not take it to confirm. I told her I wanted a full body massage and gave consent on the areas of my body that could be touched. She asked where I would like them to focus on and I said my lower back and shoulders, but full body massage all the same. She left the GC on the side table where I sat (right by the entry door) and began to usher me in. I walked back to pick up the GC and asked if she didn't need to check it, she said 'we will do so after' . I had a nice cup of tea while waiting, the masseuse came, also very nice and polite, but long story short, it was the worst massage ever. She went hard on certain areas and on other areas, it was like she barely touched me. She did my shoulders back, arms, very light on my calf and heel of my feet. She NEVER touched the back of my thighs or glutes. She asked me to turn over and also worked some more on my shoulders and neck, still never touched my thighs, legs or feet after I turned. There was a chair beside me which she said she would use at some point so I couldn't keep my clothes there, she never used the chair. Soon after, she said something and before I could ask what she said, she was out of the room. It was so abrupt! I laid there confused for a few seconds and then I realized the session was over. She walked out before I could open my eyes or respond to what she said. It was over! Just like that! Half of my body still not touched. Not even my knees. I let her know I was not aware the session was over as I did not hear what she said before leaving the room. She apologized. The lady at the front desk then took my GC and proceeds to tell me I owed a balance of $80 and some change. Saying I had only $39 on the card. I told her I had no intention of paying anything and only came to use what I was gifted, and she should have checked before I started to avoid any confusion. She was apologetic and kept looking around her computer. I almost got fed up and paid but I asked her to look and see if there was some promo or discount when the GC was sold. Because they did write '1 hr massage' on the card. So why should I pay? Well, I was right. It took her a minute but there was a discount and I did not have to pay anything. She apologized. Ok, that's sorted. She asked if I wanted to leave a tip for my masseuse which I reluctantly agreed to despite the poor service because she was nice. She pulls up a profile on the tip machine thing with the photo and name of an entirely different person, and not my masseuse. I asked 'is this so and so?' and she said yes. Mind you, my masseuse was black, and this was a different black lady. They were the only 2 black women amongst all the photos I saw. So I'm guessing, the front desk lady has trouble differentiating between 2 black women? Fair!. I said 'but the name is different, A massaged me and this name says B. She initially insisted it was the same person then decided to take a closer look and lo and behold, it was someone else. If you can't differentiate their faces, their names too? I would have tipped someone who didn't even come to work that day. She apologized again I was going to let it all go and just never return, but the icing on my Massage Envy cake was that I woke up the next morning unable to lift my right hand. My shoulder felt like it had been replaced with metal. It hurt so bad I could not even touch my face to apply lotion with my right hand. I was in so much pain. Luckily it only lasted 2 days. I would have loved to speak with someone about this because I never like to give any business a bad name, I am a small business owner and I know people make mistakes. But judging from the already existing bad reviews, nothing is being done about it. read more

Schedule to conduct a stretching and massage session at this location. I arrived 5-10 mins before my scheduled appointment. Completed the initial appointment questionnaire and waited for 15 mins before being told my therapist was late because they forgot about my appointment. Was offered an appointment at a later time so the therapist wouldn't be late for an appointment after mines. read more

Of all locations, have had the worst experience here of anywhere. Have been a member for years and tried this location - massage cancelled last minute last week due to sick therapist and nothing available to reschedule and no effort to help with an appointment at another location. Okay, people get sick, but the service is what is missing here. Fast forward, one week later, and guess what? EXACTLY THE SAME EXPERIENCE! Is the therapist really sick, or is this just poor scheduling or poor service??? And, if the therapist has been out for this long, why even schedule appointments for them until they know they will be back? Stress reducer, not at all!!! Huge fail, Massage Envy!!! read more

I purchased a $150 gift card to Massage Envy a few years ago. This location refused service to me today because I had complained on Google about my wife being sexually assaulted at two of their locations. They also refused to refund my hundred and $50. Had a relaxing massage! Alice was awesome. Checkin was quick and easy. Great location. Booked a facial next at this location.

I have been coming to this Massage Envy for over a year and I absolutely love it! I started with a membership of one monthly service when I was pregnant and came for prenatal massages. This location did a great job hiring massage therapists. I always feel so relaxed and rejuvenated when I am finished with my services. Two of my favorite therapists are Mandy, a massage therapist and Aika an esthetician who does facial. These ladies are AMAZING. The front desk staff is super helpful and always follow up with appointment reminders and credit updates. This location also does super cool parties for guests. I've been to two of their "masquerade" parties and they are great! I will continue enjoying this location for my future massages and facials! read more

My husband surprised me with a couples massage! We were greeted upon arrival and check in was quick. We were sat in the quiet area and got some water. It was clean and they had a water/coffee area. Then, both therapist came and got us. My husband had Lauren and I had Donnadale. We had a great experience with these ladies. We will definitely be back. Afterwards, we got ready and were greeted with water and smiles. Upon checking out, the lady up front talked to us about the monthly special, but we said we would think about it and she wasn't pushy at all. We feel extremely relaxed and it was so nice. read more
