I have been going for over a year. All I can say is tell them what you want over the phone when you make your appt. I needed a shoulder worked on and said deep tissue was good. I randomly got set with Danielle, who was absolutely the best masseuse I've ever had (I've had a half a dozen is all - but still...). I like the music playing in the background - I don't know if he chooses it or what, but I love it. I always walk out of there with a smile on my face. SO worth it- I gave my mom a gift card. Monique is the best massage therapist there (honestly in general) HANDS DOWN. If you are looking for actual firm pressure and deep tissue that will change your life, she is it. I've been gatekeeping this secret for a few years now but sadly I'm moving so wanted to give her the praise she deserves! When I started seeing Monique I had severe hip pain, lower back pain, all the pain really and I swear it is night and day better when I am consistently seeing her. I am staying in Tucson on business and randomly tried out this Massage Envy. The same day appt was booked over the phone two hours prior, and I was informed of the cancellation policy (50% charge for same day cancel, 100% no call no show). My only issue was the phone kept cutting out. I arrived 15 mins early and sat in the designated waiting room. It was a little weird to me that when the front desk associate came to speak to the man waiting, she was not intimate with his information at all. She walked in with the iPad and declared out loud what his massage preferences were including not having them touch his butt. I can see how it can get embarrassing for others with a shared waiting room like that. Another associate did my intake and introduced me to Gary, my massage therapist. Gary was kind and considerate, he has a real firm pressure. I originally asked for medium pressure on just my back, neck, and shoulders. Later, I decided a full body would be nice with just those focus areas. Gary did not disappoint, every finger and toe was massaged. Sometimes the pressure was too much or I got a cramp, but Gary was easy to communicate with. Facials are advertised as 60. However, small print says 10mins. to change and 10mins to dress. So it's only 40mins. So come naked. Microderm is only 30 mins., even though no one says that when you sign up. Charge $200.00. However, if you buy the monthly package (only $75.00) per month. You will only be charge $130.00. I've been very happy with the massage therapists I've worked with here. But, unfortunately, the business side is poorly managed, inflexible, and unconcerned about customer service. I recently needed to cancel an appointment (2 days ahead), but the app does not have the functionality to do so. I then called to cancel, got voice mail, and left a message. I called today to confirm that the appointment had been cancelled, and learned that not only had they NOT cancelled as I requested, they charged me for it and refused to give me a refund. They denied that I had called, even though there is a record of my call on my phone. And then, the manager basically said it wasn't THEIR problem, and I (!) was the one at fault for not calling back to confirm my voice mail message. It's unfortunate for the therapists, but I could not recommendation this location because of management's indifference for their customers. read more

Massage Envy is my favorite place to go for facials and massages. I constantly type on a computer at work and my forearms get stiff. A few months ago I started getting monthly facials with Alexis and my skin has improved so much to the point that I no longer need to use makeup. My initial goal with Alexis was to get my skin evenly toned so I could step away from needing to use makeup everyday. She has helped me achieve that goal! She is very sweet and knowledgeable about the products she uses for the facials. I have also done a few microdermabrasion's with her and every experience has been very positive. The room is always clean and neat! She also gives you a neck, arm, and scalp massage. Scalp massage being my absolute favorite. She is great at her job and I have referred my friends to her and they've also had very positive experiences with her. My mom has me bring her to monthly facials as well and she absolutely loves Alexis. Thank you for helping us feel comfortable in our skin without needing to use makeup. read more

Confused at the negative reviews. My husband and I came into Tucson for the evening. Last minute decided to get late massages. The receptionist was able to move mine up 30 minutes which I then added onto my time. We were both so lucky to have Ash as our therapist! When I say wow, I mean WOW. She was amazing really knew what she was doing and helped with my sore and tight muscles. My husband came back and said was the best massage he's had. This place has a few great massage therapists however I will not be coming here until policies change. According to the General Manager Carla, Massage Envy won't allow you to get a massage anymore unless you fill out an Covid online form. Online forms do data collection and store personal information in comprising places. She was nice but I was confused on why this change happened especially since Covid isn't much of a thing anymore. I've had multiple massages in the past year from M.E. & no issues but now they initiate rigid data collection system in February of 2023?? Weird! read more

If you are going to come to this location of Massage Envy I highly recommend you book a massage with Ash. I probably should keep her a secret but the word is out, anyway. She is AWESOME. In the 5 or so sessions I have had with her she uncannily finds the "right spot". No massage has ever been the same. There is no set routine. Ash asks a lot of questions and truly makes each session about what is going on with your body at the time, while asking you what you want. I will keep coming back for Ash!!!! read more

Very disappointed with the customer service staff. I booked 2 massages and was quoted a price and repeated the price several times. I even added a tip to both of the appointments I had booked prior to even having the massages. These massages were booked as gifts to my spouse. I called 2 more times before the appointment. Reminded them of the price they quoted me and to make sure the tips were included. Front desk confirmed price both a second and 3rd time. Called a 4th time because the second massage I had booked I needed to reschedule. Was then told that the price would be almost 50% more. I said this was already pre booked and price was confirmed several times. No care. I asked if they would honor the price that THEIR employee quoted me. With no tact, or apology for the mistake they made they denied to honor the price they quoted me. Will NEVER go to this place again. Front desk staff was so rude and ignored the phone as it rang. I tried to call several times to cancel my service and no one answered. When I went to the facility there were 3 employees sitting there just chatting ignoring the phone. They are either very vague about their policies and prices on purpose to scam your money or their employees honestly also have no idea how it works. Terrible! read more

I gave Massage Envy a try because I received as a 1 time visit gift. The massage went well but before leaving they convinced to me sign a monthly contract. After my second visit I decided to end the contract because the massage really did me no good. Oh no they replied you signed the contract and you have to fulfil it. Without going into detail I took this up the ladder to corporate. They replied it was the francise who can only cancel the contract. I don't understand their decision. Now they want me to pay $65 monthly till the contract is fulfilled. This is not how to run a business. They are in it for the money only and don't care about customer satisfaction. FOLLOW UP! :) After posting my initial review and calling Massage Envy I am very pleased to follow up with a positive review:) When I called to discuss what happened (read initial review) I was met with complete understanding from the on-duty supervisor. She checked her records and said standard practice is to give a 24 hour confirmation call ahead and that someone may have just missed my name on the list, mistakes happen. Although she wasn't at liberty to determine whether I would get a refund or not she assured me the location supervisor would call me Tuesday to follow up. Sure enough I received a call today from Vanessa who apologized that the mix-up occurred and was happy to provide a refund or reschedule. I really appreciated the timeliness in which this was taken care of and the understanding from Massage Envy themselves. As for the actual massage experience it was great. My therapist was Dominic, I highly recommend him. I play roller derby and sometimes need certain muscle groups worked on more specifically and he did a great job, even got knots out of my traps that have been there for awhile. The staff was really friendly (at the appointment and in regards to the mix up) and overall I'm satisfied and will be returning and recommending to friends and family! Initial Review: I just got charged $143 because I missed an appointment that I made a month ago. $143 because I was busy and thought the appointment was on the 24th turns out it was today. Awesome. The reminder call I got was 8 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, with a message that informed me I could use my remaining time. My sincere hope is that after I call massage envy in the morning and get a full refund I'll have good things to report. If that isn't the case, I guess my next review will be a fun one to say the least. read more

I was a member of massage envy for about a year . The therapist are fantastic, the problem is their front of the house staff . I don't think they stay very long as I never saw the same one twice and they were always training . I have worked in customer service and was appalled at the lack of it when it comes to the front staff. Super unorganized when it comes to billing and what the heck is a home group? I kept being told they were unable to see my information because they were not my home group. They couldn't update my payment information so I had to go to a different location to update payment. Still wasn't right as the next month same thing. The new manager apologized and said must have been someone new and would take care of it. Well that didn't happen as the very next month it happened again. I cancelled my membership . I still had a credit of 65 dollars . I had my last massage and after was informed I had to pay again . They stole my money . The new receptionist that I was dealing with felt if she called them points I would be less pissed, she informed me my points had expired , I had just booked the week before and was told I had one credit left. I'm not sure what massage envy is thinking . I warn you ! This company does not know the meaning of customer retention . They think they will just sucker someone else and take their money until they have had it. Shame on massage envy as a company! This is not the way business is done . My boyfriend booked an appointment for me yesterday, I've been having terrible back/neck/shoulder pain... it got so bad that I couldn't sleep at night. I had Hannah, and she was amazing. I could feel every knot in my shoulders and back and she worked through all of them. For the first time in a week I've gotten adequate amounts of sleep, and I woke up today feeling so good. I went into massage envy wilmot on 6303 e broadway blvd today for a 3 PM appointment. When I went to check in, John at the front desk asked me for my name and phone number. I gave him this information and he told me my appointment was at 7 PM and not 3 PM. As someone who puts everything in my calendar, I knew this information was incorrect. I explained to John that I know for a fact my appointment was at 3, and told him I distinctly remember booking it for 3 PM. While I tried explaining that this was a mistake, he was laughing at me and mocking me. He asked me who I booked my appointment with, and I told him I didn't know the name of the person. He looked at me, let out a small laugh and said, "you booked it with me". I told him I was certain that I booked it with a girl, and all he did was argue and laugh in response. Eventually I left because I realized I wasn't getting anywhere, and I did not rebook my appointment. Later, I called the assistant manager of the store and she was able to resolve this issue after a while of a back and fourth debate. Regardless of whether or not it was resolved, the customer service, mockery, and disrespect I received from John was unacceptable. read more

Totally unacceptable experience. We had a party of five for our Annual Mother-Daughter-Sister Labor Day celebration (Ages 40-72). Mind you this was our 18th one. We have a massage in every city we visit and have never run across anything like this. We walked in for out appointments at 11:30 AM, maybe laughing, but not loud, not boisterous. Because one was carrying a white claw can, they would not give her a massage. But none of the rest of us knew it. So, she was left to sit in the waiting room (by the front door) for 1 1/2 hours waiting on us. So, I guess she wasn't too whatever to be the first thing a client saw when they walked in. Had we known, we all would have walked out, but she did not want to spoil it for the rest of us. I guess she could have just thrown the white claw can down in the parking lot and all would have been well. There was nothing posted on the door, walls, contract or website about alcohol. So I ride my motorcycle daily, its my only transportation. As such with the type of bike I have, I have been having neck and shoulder pain (the wind can get brutal at times). I decided to see if a massage would help me. You walk in and immediately they make you feel at home. They have you fill out a questionnaire that will get you the best treatment, and you get to relax in a "tranquility room" before your time. They walk you in and your person goes over what you would like, and what areas you like to be worked on or not worked on. The therapist was very nice, polite and professional. I was hoping she would find areas that I had mentioned and see knots and work them out, what was more of what happened is she just focused on the whole body. There were spots that I could feel she would hit a knot and she would just keep going. I am new to massages so maybe I just didn't clarify it properly, but it was more whole body, not problem focused. Again the place is very clean, professional and nice, I just think that maybe i need to do more research on what type and who to go to request. I don't think I will be back for the same thing, but wont hesitate to recommend them to someone looking for a general massage. read more
