Great experience overall. Walked into a typical massage waiting room. The staff was noticeably friendly and very helpful. They took the normal COVID precautions. They do have a membership but its not pushed or like the other places do - beat you over the head with it. The massage itself was fantastic. Great deep tissue. Beds are nice. I have been coming here for sometime and I had a favorite massage therapist that I was seeing. When I went yesterday I had to see someone else since the person I normally go to doesn't work there anymore. I may have to find a new massage studio since I wasn't a huge fan of who I last saw. I dislike that they have a $40 yearly fee that saves you $10 on services. I wish that they would just lower their prices the $10 and not ask you to pay a fee. For the service you get I think it is pretty pricey given the fact that the massage is only 50 minutes long and not a full hour. read more

Got a last minute appt. at Rubs Oracle yesterday, and it was GREAT! I normally go to the FANTASTIC Wilmot location, but I was on this side of town visiting a friend and decided to take advantage of the web special and get a little work done on my shoulders. The web special mentioned a few specific therapists by name, but I was scheduled with Tawny(?), who was not listed, but I was still given the web special rate. I met Tawny for the first time and explained that my shoulders were my key area of problems, and we agreed to do an hour of specific trunk/upper body work. Tawny was friendly and professional, but very straightforward - pleasant without being sugary sweet, no muss no fuss, and let's get down to business! I mean all of this in the most complimentary manner, she made me feel immediately comfortable. :) Tawny gave me a GREAT massage, with DEEP pressure that was intense but never painful. She used a variety of techniques and rhythmic strokes, including something that felt like strong "wiggling" of her fingers/knuckles(?) that was very effective. She transitioned quickly (but without rushing) and I felt that she was trying to MAXIMIZE the time she had to work on my shoulders/neck, for the most benefit. (I passed along the comment to the receptionist that it was a very "agressive" massage, and that I meant that in the MOST POSITIVE WAY!!! She smiled and said that Tawny often got feedback like that, so hopefully others have been as pleased as I was!) Between the web special and my Rubs member discount, I was given an AMAZING treatment for a DIRT CHEAP price, so I left a very happy girl! Today I went in and Natasha helped give me a pressure massage. This was by far the best massage I've received. She is amazing, this was my first time here as well and the first impressions were amazing. Very clean, quiet, calm, relaxing, and the lady at the receptionist was very nice too. I recommend everyone to go to Natasha when they need help with knots in their body. She has been doing this for 12 years and she knows exactly where to rub. I must admit that I do not frequent massage parlors however I was incredibly satisfied with my experience. I did not realize that every location has different specials (be sure to check online for this), but they made sure to take care of me. Tanni was my massage therapist and she was amazing! She easily read and responded to my body's reactions. I also got a mini facial. I left so relaxed and rejuvenated. Tawni is the best! She knows exactly how to correct and cure my body with the deep pressure but also knows how to make me relax. Some therapist are either really good at pressure but its not relaxing and then there are some who just put me right to sleep. For me, I do not like to fall asleep during massages because I like to feel everything but every now and then Tawni will put me to sleep but I love it!!! I cannot say enough good things about everyone at the Oracle Rubs. I called them upset and in pain when my chiropractor wouldn't see me because of COVID restrictions and I travel for work. I called Kayla at the Sahuarita location first, and when she couldn't get me in, she found a location for me where they could see me right away. Then when Stephanie at Oracle saw the notes that I was in pain from a pinched nerve, she called me and recommended switching to a different therapist, Tawni, who uses firmer pressure. So grateful for that! The massage was amazing, I can move much more freely now, and everyone was so nice and helpful. They were also very conscientious about COVID precautions, took my temperature, required masks from employees and customers. I will definitely use them again and recommend them highly. read more

Front desk seemed snotty, didn't bother to speak to me during my wait, instead spoke only to each other in low voices (not sure if they were talking about me or not, but it was rude) and overall were not attentive. My service had way too much pressure, even when I asked her (can't even remember her name) to stop and she was way too chatty. I will not be coming back in for another service. Recently had a not so good experience there. There was loud music playing next door. I told him it bothered me and he put the fan up higher in the room? It felt like he was just applying lotion the entire time. Little to no pressure and everytime I would ask for deeper pressure he would barley go any deeper. He finally applied pressure to my shoulders but kept moving the muscles in my back as if he was trying to massage them out? I could tell he couldn't do much pressure because he was shaking a ton. I asked for a full body massage and 40 minutes in he had only had 1 arm done and my back. I walked out early and it was the most awful experience. Rubs is conveniently located on Oracle just north of River. I've been going here for almost a year, and I'm always happy with their service. Unlike Tucson Touch Therapies, this place doesn't overwhelm you with hippy-dippiness. It's got more of a spa/therapy feel. The waiting area is comfortable. And your therapist is always ready on time, not when he/she has finished eating his/her hippy-dippy meal in the back (see TTT). The receptionists are friendly, and they have deals going on all the time. And the therapists have different specialties, so let the receptionist know what you want (relaxing, therapeutic, etc). I have my go-to therapist, and soon you will too. Rubs is also a great gift idea for those people in your life who deserve pampering (or a moment of peace). read more

I still can't believe that the therapist Bobby found the roots of my strong neck and shoulder pain right away and made it disappear with his very experienced, "magical" touch. Now, even the pain on the inside of my knee is much better, a few hours after my 50 minute massage! What a relief! I just get this kind of pain every once in a while and got worked on by another very good and experienced massage therapist, but it was always only half way gone. I just dropped in today and took the next available appointment they had and am now so thankful I got an appointment with the for me perfect therapist! The desk ladies are very professional, happy and warm. I had an all together pleasant experience there today and could not mention anything negative...and I am very picky...no, let's say sensitive, that sounds better! Another thing I liked about Bobby is that he talks only, if you start and signal that you would like to chat, but he leaves you in silence, feeling the massage when you stop talking. I love that! Traci works you over! Ok so here's the dumb thing right? I realize that my back is hurting. Has been hurting in a very specific spot for about 3 weeks. Start thinking...ya know, my back's been hurting. Need to get that looked at. Back pain in specific spot...seen that be very bad in the past. So mind goes crazy and begins thinking things like...you have cancer...you're gonna die...dan...kids...the dogs. Can't take it anymore, go to urgent care. Doc says, so anything crazy happen in the last 3 weeks? Think, think, think....oh, ooohhhhh. I fell and hurt my knee. Maybe I hurt my back. Duh! So now what to do. How about a massage? Dan, my man had visited Rubs because of a gift certificate gone wrong. Meaning my mom didn't want the one she'd received as a gift. He'd had back surgery a year ago and was still having issues. After a few sessions with Traci he was already seeing improvement and recommended I go see her. I scheduled a 1 1/2 hour deep tissue massage with her. Oh man. Didn't know what to expect but never thought pain could be so painful yet so helpful. And she found knots in places I never knew existed. She'd start working a place and I'd think..."Really, really?" Fantastic massage, plus relaxing music and smells. The location is somewhat unassuming, but don't let that fool you. Plus very reasonable. I opted to get the one year membership and even when combined with the cost of the massage and the tip my wallet wasn't even whimpering. I am definitely looking forward to the next session and oh yes I did schedule one. You should too! One thing. By far the worst eyebrows wax I have ever had. I am not sure I can even call it an eyebrow wax. When I got home I had to spend another 10 minutes plucking my eyebrows myself. And I am not talking about the fine little ones that are hard to get close the brow... I am talking the longer ones far away from the brow. She didn't trim the brows either. I enjoyed a facial and a thirty minute foot rub. My esthetician, Jordyn, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She provided a lot of information about the products used during my service and helped me select a few items to take home when I finished. She performed a lot of extractions as requested and although this is typically a very uncomfortable procedure, Jordyn had the perfect touch and minimized the discomfort. The ladies at the front desk were very personable and the facility was well-organized and clean. I am rating my spa experience with five stars feeling that it is exactly what you should expect from a day spa who caters to those who want a good spa service without paying for all the bells and whistles of a facility in a resort-like atmosphere. read more
