I am only giving this rating based on customer service, convenience, communication and dependability. I've had several unfortunate incidents in which I wasn't able to get a massage to fit my schedule. Being a member, I would think this would allow for preference. What made me decide to terminate my membership and never return was when I had a surprise for my fiancé and they ruined it by calling her to reschedule her massage (they requested her number) for a later time. I specifically stated to only contact me. This wasn't possible as I already had her day planned with surprises and other appointments so I had to cancel her massage. Needless to say, I made it up to her but way to go M.E. for ruining my girl's birthday surprise. read more

This review is regarding their membership program, which I purchased at this clinic. It's been a total waste of money and led to so much frustration. The clinic I use has cancelled four of my appointments, which have to be booked a month in advance. I also accrued a number of massages during the shutdown, which I've been unable to use. After cancelling the membership, you have to use accrued appointments within 2 months, which is impossible when you have to book a month in advance AND those appointments are cancelled. I've put a "hard freeze" on my membership, which means I don't accrue any new visits and have 6 months to use them, but at a cost of $10/month. Bottom line: the membership is not worth it unless you don't work and can go any time or you have a consistent schedule that allows you to book a month in advance. . .and hope that your appointments don't get cancelled. Also, the quality of massages vary wildly! Some are great and others would have been better just to let my cat walk on my back. Some therapists are on time, others are late. . .and don't compensate for their tardiness on the other end. My advice would be to find a massage therapist that has their own clinic and stick with that person. read more

I have extremely high expectations of customer service in every aspect of my life. The customer service I have received at the front desk at Massage Envy has been stellar. There have been a few mishaps in the past regarding scheduling, but I let it slide off my back because these things happen. The front staff is cordial, friendly, and brings on a relaxing atmosphere. Sydney has demonstrated exemplar customer service in her management skills and leadership of the spa. I am proud to be a member there. However, I am writing to commend Mike Mercer, the therapist who always gives me my massages. Having been an avid promoter of good customer service, and a picky patty when it comes to massages, I have to say that Mike has exceeded all my expectations of professionalism, personalization, and an exceptional out of this world thorough massage. In previous attempts to get a massage, I felt that I always left 'missing something' or 'wishing things had been done differently', but that has never been the case with Mike. He is friendly, explains everything, goes above and beyond with pressure points, hot towel for stretching, while staying quiet and maintaining a relaxing atmosphere. I have never been able to 'endure' a 60 minute massage without complaints, and yet he makes my 90 minute massages the best part of my day and I wish I could lay there for 3 hours! The establishment is clean and the therapists are generally proficient (not all, though; some feel too timid ... think lotion rundown instead of kneading muscles). Hours are good for working folks. Asked for coat/purse hooks in the bathroom multiple times, but ... Nothing. It would be nice to have somewhere to hang jackets and purses instead of having to plop them down on bathroom counters where there's often water and ...really, who knows what other germs (cold season is here). Coat/purse hooks are super cheap, and considering the increased prices of all the treatments, you'd think 2 hooks would be nothing. read more

I am a member and have been coming here for 8 months. Today was probably one of my worst experiences. Hour long massage was closer to 40 minutes, started at 1215 and ended at 1255. And it didnt even feel like a 40 min massage because the therapist spent more time adjusting the room, moving stool, etc. Not impressed with my visit. read more

I am a member here and have always had good service, facials, and massages, but unfortunately today was not the case. I had scheduled a Microderm infusion facial from 2pm to 3pm (on my app it is stated as one hour). I couldn't believe when I got out to my car it was only 2:30. I went back in and they stated that advanced skincare treatments, chemical peel and Microderm, only last 30-45 min. This is not disclosed anywhere! I go here to relax for an hour. I don't pay $70 a month for a 30 min session. Also the previous Microderm infusion I received lasted the full hour. The esthetician in the previous session made sure it lasted a full hour asking me what areas I would like her to go over again. The most disappointing part was all the staff had to say was sorry that is the policy. Well if it is the policy you should have it posted somewhere I was under the impression I was paying for an hour not 30 min! Probably going to cancel my membership because it is not worth it to pay $70 for 30 mins oh and also my face doesn't even look good there are still a ton of black heads on my chin and temples. read more

I started getting massages last year for the first time and that first time was amazing despite some noise issues but they were never with Massage Envy. I found that place through Groupon but after the third and last time I started looking elsewhere. I had a friend who previously worked for ME at another location and her work def. inspired me to check into their membership. After reviewing the prices I was apprehensive about dedicating another bill for a year but decided I was worth it. My first time visiting I stepped in an acquired about the membership pricing and was actually booked that day which was nice because my profession requires me to stand and put my body in unnatural positions for sometimes a long period of time. My therapist was Michael and what he did for me in one appt. I have NEVER received or felt like that leaving from the other massage place. I have noticed following that month I've had ALOT less pain and more manageable especially at work. While my 1st time at ME was great this is why I rated a 3-star. Upon checkout I got my brochures, coupons, prebook reward punch card, etc. as well as my NEXT appt. card (that was booked with Michael again specifically) that came with the membership and was excited to come the following month. I signed up online for their customer portal a few days before my appt and noticed I had no appt. booked but just chucked it up to maybe the system hadn't recognized the membership yet. I didn't know if they had an appt. reminder call system and I hadn't received anything from them including email, postcard, etc. so I decided to call to confirm the appt. myself especially since the automatic payment was taken out that very day. I spoke to the same associate who set up my membership and was told they didn't have me on the schedule. So unfortunately I was looking at an appt. card to an appt. that was apparently never set up. She apologized & offered another day, and I understand mistakes happen but I waited for a month, scheduled events, and was looking forward to some pain relief, but they couldn't fit me in on that appt. day and because I'm requesting the associate my schedule is tricky currently so was told I could just call back to schedule when I know I can come in. It's things like this that make me start regretting a contract because this was the first impression and now I'm stuck in a contract and have 11 months to see what's in store. read more

The problem I have is the management and trying to cancel a membership I've tried twice now and they still are withdrawing money out of my account. They make you go in fill out paperwork and then when they review your cancellation paperwork they will send you an email then you have to continue returning an email back to them so they can I guess review it again and after all this they are still pulling money out read more

I recently experienced my first massage with Massage Envy in Redlands. My technician, Jasmine, was excellent. Her pressure was just to the point I had requested and I found myself relaxed and feeling great in no time. My only issue is the size of the tables. Admittedly, I am not a small person, but I am not exceptionally large and I would think a number of clients would find themselves needing to make an effort to keep their arms at their sides comfortably. I am relatively certain I will go again because the treatment did work for my issues, but would prefer that there be a more comfortably sized station for my technician to use. read more

yeah...ordered a 90 min Massage Session and Rapid Tension Relief Session and kept getting cancelled and rebooked...super unprofessional. it's happened more than once and i didn't think it was a big deal at first, but it's all. the. time. they're very dismissive and rude on the phone when they reschedule. it's very frustrating since i can't even make a new appointment because they're completely booked up for months!!! how are you booked up for months but my appointments keep getting rescheduled??? definitely not recommending. read more

i have been going to Massage Envy my entire pregnancy and have had no issues whatsoever. I am now 38 weeks, and going in for my last massage before baby! I have had 2 therapists at the Redlands location who have been PHENOMENAL- Jessica and Jennifer ( I'm pretty sure that's her name ). Both of them made sure my experience was nothing but comfortable and have always listened to what my problem areas were. The front desk staff have always gotten me checked in and out right away. I even wanted to transfer hours over as a gift, and the girl who helped me gave me all the info I needed! I highly recommend this place as my experience has been awesome. read more

I get the massages each week to help me in my now 24-year battle with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. So, I have a great deal of experience in what constitutes an excellent massage and what constitutes an excellent massage therapist. I have had the same massage therapist there from day one Tiffany. I have to say that my experience at this facility has been wonderful, Tiffany is an excellent therapist extremely intuitive to my massage needs and stretching needs. Tiffany is amazing, the quality of massage and stretching that she does is hands down the best therapy I have had in many years. She is an absolute professional, with a wonderful upbeat personality, very attentive to what areas of my lower back, legs, feet, arms and hands need to relieve my spasticity. She always has a smile and she always listens to me each week on what specific areas need the most attention and stretching. Tiffany also understands my disease and how it impacts my life, which makes her an invaluable asset to my PT care. I can't say enough about this fabulous young woman, she is just a joy to talk to, a wonderful person to be around and an excellent professional on every level. The management of this facility and ALL of the staff are really wonderful people to deal with as well. They are very proactive in making sure that my schedule is kept and that my experience at the facility is a good one. Highly recommended! Went it not know what to expect, they told me everything I'd need to know. Girls at the front were awesome. This place books fast so I couldn't get in day of, but they helped get me an appoint that worked better for me anyways. The massage was great! You write down what you want and how much pressure and ask what you're comfortable with blah blah blah. I always want medium pressure and normally therapists try to break me with hard deep pressure, but not here, did exactly what I needed, even explained during the massage how some of my lower back muscles were effecting my neck and was able to work them out. If you're looking for a deep tissue massage, TRISHA IS AMAZING. I hadn't been to this location before, so I was nervous, as I needed a new massage therapist. Trisha did not disappoint! I have struggled in the past with requesting deep tissue massages and not receiving them the way I have asked due to reluctance on the massage therapists' end. I had not had a massage in quite a while, and had severe clusters of knots throughout my shoulders, back and neck. She had the perfect amount of pressure that helped release a lot of them as well as help me relax, which softer massages fail to help with. A couple of years ago my daughters gifted me a massage at ME. I got the massage and at checkout I decided to join their membership. Every time I go I am treated like I'm a VIP. Samantha is always courteous and helpful. It doesn't matter how busy they are with the phones or other members, someone always acknowledges you after you walk in the door. Price - Great. Very low. Paid 1 year in advance. Quality: Average Returning? No. I had a monthly 2 hour appointment for a massage and facial for duration of 1 year. The quiet room prior to the appointment and the cucumber & lemon water was a nice touch. I asked questions to find the best Masseuse and Esthetician and was initially happy and working around their schedules. I could really only work around one. But, ultimately you can't stop turnover of employees, and both left for greener pastures. In the end - I was just making appointments that worked with my schedule. Natalie is the best for facials at this location! I've tried others, but she was able to achieve a smooth face for me. My skin is normally clear, but after pregnancy, my skin changed. Horrible customer service. I tried to book a massage and made the mistake of saying I went to one in Arizona once where we used to live. First I was told because I wasn't a "new customer" I would have to pay $99 instead of $40. Then the girl on the phone changed her story and said they could honor a new customer massage session, but they had no openings for "new customers" today or tomorrow because I would have to sit through their sales spill.
