I went to Massage Envy in Redlands, CA. When I booked the appointment, I didn't realize that the therapist, Tyfanny, only performed deep-tissue massages. When I arrived, she immediately told me she only does deep-tissue work and asked if I had seen that on the website. I told her I had not. She appeared visibly annoyed and said she would "try' to do a medium-pressure massage after I explained that I was already there and unsure what else to do. Her attitude was rude and unprofessional, and the massage itself was extremely painful rather than relaxing, I repeatedly asked her to reduce the pressure, and I could sense she became irritated. Eventually, the discomfort and her demeanor made me stop the service altogether . When I went to the front desk, Tyfanny was speaking with the manager, who then came out of the office. Tyfanny closed the office's door which felt odd, especially since good customer service involves employees hearing feedback directly. The manager did not invite her to join the conversation and instead became defensive, insisting that Tyfanny only performs deep-tissue massages. Because of this experience, I chose to cancel my membership for 8 years and I would not recommend booking with Tyfanny regardless of massage preference due to her unpleasant, rude, and unprofessional behavior. read more

My wife and I purchased a gift card through massage envy for her dad's birthday. He's busy and hasn't been able to use it, but finally made time in his day to relax and enjoy a massage from his kids. Upon arrival he gave them the gift card but was told it was no longer valid because he hadn't redeemed in within 90 days. He was given a corporate number to have it extended but told the purchaser needed to make that call. Here I am now addressing a 150$ gift that now is completely useless. This is a horse shit policy for an overpriced massage. Don't waste your money, there's tons of reasonable massage parlors all over the place that would likely be happy to honor a payment made in January for a massage in April. Update Once sent a new link to the cards this should be corrected. Still a very inefficient system that was still very inconvenient. But at least not a total waste. read more

Recently her health began to decline and she lost her vision and just couldn't go in anymore. in August of 2024, she attempted to cancel the account and filled out paperwork and signed it. After she passed I attempted to close her account and they told me I would have to come in and fill out paperwork!!! Absolutely unacceptable! I have since found the paperwork she submitted to them in August of 2024 where the manager Danielle Mulipola actually had her sign a Freeze agreement that expired after 6 months and they began billing her credit card again on Feb 16, 2025! The massages are not bad, if you can get one. They cancel all the time and then tell you that you have to wait a month and half to get a new appointment. This "business" only cares about getting your credit card so they can charge you every month. That's the only focus they have, anything else is just accidental. Want to cancel? Good luck getting any help or response. Messages left for the "manager" will go unreturned once they learn you want to cancel. If you really really want to do this (much better massages are found in dozens of places for less and who don't incessantly charge you), then use a credit card that you don't mind cancelling because that is the only way you can get these bloodsuckers from milking you dry. Oh yea, they will also charge you $10 a month to "temporarily freeze" your account (no new credits will accrue - so what is the $10 for??) and will twist your arm to do that. read more

This organization seems happy to keep taking monthly payments but completely unwilling to hold up their end of the ridiculous contract they require. The business model seems to be based on a sunk cost fallacy; customers have banked credits they lose if they cancel their membership, but they offer no way for customers to redeem those credits, which continue to compile with no chance of being redeemed or refunded. Several members in my family and I have a membership here but we have had A LOT of occasions where we would get last minute calls that our appointments would be cancelled and we would need to reschedule when a massage therapist was not able to come in. Isaiah was super sweet and had a calming nice voice, but no disrespect or hate towards him, I just think he needs more training. He didn't do what I asked him to do and he didn't do my pectoral massage correctly which also he rushed. He told me he doesn't know how to do them but when you get there, they have you fill out which are the areas you want them to focus on and my pecs were one of them. Anytime I get a massage from my regular masseuse, I leave feeling relaxed, comfortable and happy. When I left Massage Envy, I left in more pain than when I came in, so much to the point where it's hard to sleep and I just want to throw up because my back hurts so bad. On another note that same day I went back a few hours later for my facial by Jade. She is amazing at what she does, and always makes me feel relaxed and beautiful. Wow! This is the first time I had a massage session with Linn and she was BEYOND AWESOME! She's so skilled. I foresee her getting booked up waaaay in advance and having a waitlist. They will confirm a few days prior and then call the day of and cancel one of the two appointments, so in theory they do offer a couples massage but in reality good luck getting them to keep the appointments for both people. Went here to get my prenatal massage, my massage therapist was Mykala. She did an excellent job and had great conversation. I left feeling so relaxed, refreshed, and feather light. I added a sugar foot scrub to my session which left my feet feeling nice and soft.This is normally a $10 add on but I got it for free just by checking in on yelp, it pays to be a yelper. Last 3/4 months every single time I schedule an appointment it gets rescheduled on me. So I have to settle for times that really don't work or people with too light of pressure. For example had a appointment scheduled for tonight they just called to cancel and they didn't have any time that would work for me until 3/4 weeks from now. Me and my husband has been going to massage envy since they first opened.. We live in redlands and waited years for a branch to be built in redlands so when it was we was very exceited. For the complete time Redlands branch has been open we been having issues like they always cancel with you last min, they will re arrange you with a different therapist without your knowledge as there emoyees seem to all call out so much we can never go a month without there being an issue. Me and my husband both book out in the couples room for the complete year every year so we go every two weeks but trying to just get our massages has become such an issue the day of we just dread getting that call that we have Been canceled.. other branches we had wonderful experience with so in all the years I pay both mine and my husband membership we have had no issues until we started going to Redlands branch where we live.. today I received a call letting us know that three emoyees has left and that the one therapist we have booked with was gone. They wanted to cancel all our other appointments with my husband therapist for the year saying they have no one for us for replacement. She would not even try to find a replacement for me as she stated there a waiting list so it would not be fair to book us when there are others are on the waiting list. I said but we still are booked with my husband therapist in the couples room so i had an apt already so why would i be on a waiting list? She said because we book for medacal reasons its just best we go to another location. I am sorry but I found that to be so very rude!! I am so frustrated as this has been going on for so long we decided to quit massage for good!! I ask for a manager now for a year and one never calls the girls at the desk can get very rude when we are just upset because it happens so much. I am disabled and my husband works hard and his back needs a good massage or he's suffered greatly but is this why most of us go to get a massage? today was our breaking point!! The therapist have spoke of the management as having a hard time and they had almost all our good choice therapist leave so I think that speaks for itsself..
