My masseuse was Sally and she was very professional, curteous, and always asked if the strength/intensity level was okay, would not move the sheets until she informed me and was able to tackle all my pain points I requested relief in. It tells you 60 minutes, but it's technically 50 minutes since the first five minutes and the last five minutes is technically you're changing which is very expensive. It's $140 for 50 minute massage and it wasn't even that great. The first time I went, I loved the experience and I signed up for their membership. After a few months, when I checked in they told it was my last appointment before my membership expired, so I no longer went. Four months later, come to find out, they're still charging me. This time, the front desk assistant emailed it to me right away and told me to complete it and send it back. They sent me a Word doc with somebody else's personal information. Double standard. Buyer beware. They refused to give massage and refused to give any refund or reschedule. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My wife was late to her massage (missing about half of the appointment). When she called to let them know, they reluctantly admitted that the massage therapist already went home and that my wife could not come in for the remaining amount of time on her massage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My wife was told that she would have to pay full price, and at the same time they refused for her to use the remaining time that she purchased, even though she was willing to come in immediately or reschedule her remaining amount of time that she had purchased. I respect their policy that we pay for the appointment even if we miss it, and I want to pay the massage therapist for their time. However there's a double standard when they refused to let my wife come in for any amount of her paid massage time (or even reschedule the remaining time for a future date) They are now claiming that my wife would have arrived too late for any massage at all when factoring in the amount of time to dress and undress (which is convenient because that would allow them to charge her full price according to their policy). That however is simply inaccurate. She would have arrived in time for a partial massage even including the 10 minutes for dressing and undressing time. They do not notify you of how much they will charge for a service until it's been completed. I had a massage transferred to me that had been paid for by a member. Prior to scheduling an appointment, I explicitly asked if I had a transferred service, which was confirmed. After my appointment, they told me my total was $75.00. This was a shock because no notice had been shared with me that the member who had paid for my service had ended their membership and that I would now be responsible for the charge. Upon sharing this experience with the member, she was outraged-- little did I know she actually spoke with a representative prior to cancelling who confirmed that it wouldn't affect what she had already transferred. It is the due diligence of the organization to accurately and promptly confirm people of charge changes. I don't recommend this place due to their poor management. The massages are clean, the room has a nice ambience, and is relaxing, until you have to deal with the staff and organization, and all the stress and frustration comes back. She is very knowledgeable, and has the best bed side manner. The high frequency treatment is amazing and can really help clear up your skin. I had a facial and massage scheduled. The facial was with Lynae. She did a good job, but the following things went wrong: 1. The steam machine was not working and I felt jilted. I pay good money and expect everything to be working or reschedule! 2. I wanted to relax and she kept talking. 3. She recommended a cream for sale. I don't mind the recommendation, but for her to stand at the reception area to see if I bought it or not was unnerving. I don't like that kind of pressure. Next was my massage with Sally. She was 15 minutes late and I checked with the receptionist about her status. I was already checked in because of the prior facial yet no one came for me. I even saw the receptionist come get her and only then did she show up. I told her that I felt she forgot about me and instead of apologizing, all she said was that she had to prep the room. I've been a member for almost 4 years and recently I thought I was going to cancel my membership because a) I wasn't going as frequently as I wanted (due to a busy schedule) & b) I wasn't really happy with my last 2 massages. I knew that my back was starting to feel extremely tight since going back to school since I was in my feet a lot and moving heavy patients much bigger than me. I then decided to schedule a last minute massage on a Friday night with whomever provided deep tissue and strong pressure. I was scheduled with Cristobal, and I'm extremely happy and satisfied with his work! There were at least 6 times during my massage where I thought I was going to die from the pain from him working out the many knots I had from my tight back...but After breathing through it all, I felt ahhhmazing after my session. He had just the right amount of pressure and it really felt like a massage versus just a light rub. Before starting our session, I explained to him my expectation my our session and my expectation was completely met. If you're like me, someone who expects to feel relaxed and rejuvenated after a massage plus feel a difference, Cristo is definitely who you should schedule with. My hubby and I went to Thailand for our honeymoon and had the BEST massages there, Thai massages are theeeee best! Also, my doctor took me aside during my last annual physical and told me that I need to start taking better care of myself. She's right. I used to think that I was physically and emotionally balanced because I have high blood pressure and low self esteem, but I realize now that was wrong-headed. It's time to make a healthy change. My family does not age well, but we're tough. For example, my Great Grandma Lucille suffered from a rare form of arthritis that caused all of her joints to temporarily lock up without warning. But she was a survivor. Whenever she 'locked up' in the winter months, Grandma Lucille would slip her hands and feet into rubber galoshes and execute a rapid series of cartwheels to get to the local grocery store. The store was located at the bottom of a very steep hill, however, so Grandpa would occasionally have to pick her up in the next county when she overshot the parking lot. Sometimes the grocer would forget to zip up her backpack for the trip home, and she would unknowingly lose whatever she'd purchased. As a result, Grandma Lucille would have to make due with the grocery items that somehow remained in her pockets or tied around her wrists. I'm certain that was the genesis of her surprisingly delicious "Fresh Pasta and Twizzler Soup" recipe. She was asked to stop cartwheeling around her town in the summer months, because her turquoise and silver jewelry sparked a series of small brush fires. It broke her heart, but not her spirit. I planned on trying a short Shiatsu massage when I called the friendly receptionist at Massage Envy, because a 90-minute massage struck me as way too long. I had relationships in high school that didn't last 90 minutes. My fears were unfounded, however. The staff at Massage Envy was very professional, and suggested the Total Body Stretch Therapy for me. I have been a member for close to two years. I love going to Mina and use to go to Rene I believe, they're great. While pregnant I did have to go to someone who did prenatal massage and that was Candice and it was horrible, I stopped going and had to drive to Camarillo. She wore gloves, sat on a chair the whole time and literally caressed my back. My 6 year old Govea better massages. At the time I also made management aware but nothing was said or done. My sister also complained about her since her gloves irritated her skin but no refund or credits were ever given back. I tried cancelling and they needed me to go in to sign something and then using my credits would be difficult so I decided to keep it. One was cut by 7 minutes of massage time. The other was cut by 12 Minutes of massage time. I will not give names, as I feel that both therapists were well skilled, pleasant and gave their best effort to give a good massage. However, I am disappointed that my time was cut short. I've been a customer for quite a long time. I ask the management to please have a talk with the massage therapists on our behalf. Please remind them all that most of us (for sure myself) come to a massage to relax. Lately, I've had a couple therapists who talk constantly. They must get bored being in a dark quiet room all day, but I don't want to chit chat. One person is so oblivious that even when I drop hints like saying "I'm tired, I'm going to relax and shut my eyes" they keep yapping. It's ok if you have a little exchange like how are you? you doing ok? But when they start telling all of their life woes during my massage it's ridiculous. I even went as far as turning up the music when I was getting undressed to try and tune out. Half way through my massage, the therapist was telling another story and got irritated that the music was too loud like she wanted to be sure the music didn't interrupt her talking. Give me a break. Please have a meeting and tell them to stop chatting. I think a good rule of thumb would be unless the client talks to you, don't bring up idle conversation. God forbid if I actually asked the therapist.. How is your day? I'd get a ten minute tutorial on all their life tragedies. I'm paying to relax and forget the trouble and pain we all have, not listen to it for an hour. Aside from that, the front staff here is very nice and good at what they do. This co. does not keep enough people on staff to allow the average person with a busy schedule to book appointments at times that work for all. I spent 6 months compromising my schedule to get massage late mornings or early afternoons... Unless you book 3-4 weeks in advance it is impossible to get a massage after work. They DO NOT ACCOMMODATE ANY problems with scheduling, if you have an injury, COVID, illness, or are unable to get in there every 30days they keep charging you and you cannot "pause" the monthly payments so you can catch up with all your banked session payments. You have to cancel. When you cancel you have 60 days to use up all your payments for sessions .. This is impossible unless you have a wide open schedule that works with their extremely limited appointment availability or can book literally 4 weeks in advance .. I had an injury, COVID, then a crazy work schedule, combined with their limited appointments prevented me from getting in to use my banked $375 worth of monthly payments... MULTIPLE attempt to address this problem IN PERSON and get some accomodations was denied. The manager is completely worthless, did not even respond to 2 different personal visits and messages left to call me please to discuss these issues. Another visit with the manager mid morning FINALLY,....got me no where and another message to their regional manager who was supposed to get back to me asap never happened DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR MASSAGE SERVICES.... Kimberly was my "massage therapist" and before we began I made sure to let her know that I requested a deep tissue massage and that she can use lots of pressure on my back, yet I received no pressure whatsoever and was very disappointed. I had a bad experience here. I had booked a massage for my step mom for her birthday. So her and I went in for a massage. After my massage they told me about their membership program and I signed up for myself and scheduled the massage. When the day came they told me that I didn't have a massage scheduled. So I took the massage with someone else and I could not get the massage I wanted, but I took it anyway because I didn't want to lose my credit. Two days later I saw an unauthorized charge to my card for a hundred dollars. When I called the store they informed me that my step mother did not show up for her appointment the other day and my card was the card on file. When I explained to the girl in the front that she must have made a mistake when she scheduled my appointment which would explain why the other day when I came my appointment was not there. The girl was rude and did not want to accept that she had made a mistake when scheduling the appointment and made a snippy comment like I should have double checked!
