I've been needing a massage and after reading all the great reviews I called and was able to schedule a same day appointment. I usually get a deep tissue massage and didn't know what a Thai massage so had to look it up. The internet indicated you remain fully dressed so I inquired about what clothing to wear, and was told that you actually get undressed. I was greeted upon arrival. After signing the forms they provided a pair of slippers to change into, and led me to a room. I requested the Thai combo massage, which incorporates Thai and deep tissue massage. The masseuse asked what pressure I wanted, and I requested hard pressure. I also mentioned my shoulders were extra tense. At times it felt like the masseuse was building up the pressure because in the beginning I didn't feel the pressure much and then I would feel more pressure. Some of the stretching positions felt a little odd, definitely need some getting used to. At the one hour mark, I extended the session to 90 minutes and mentioned to do more work on my back since my shoulders were still tense. Overall it was a good experience. I did feel some relief but I had hoped she focused more on my shoulders since I did mention that it was tense. I think for my tense shoulders I may need to stick with deep tissue massage since I feel that does tend to loosen up the muscles more. Parking is in the back, the entrance is there as well. read more

I had such a great experience here that I had to leave a review. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was calm, clean, and super welcoming. The staff made check-in easy and I felt relaxed right away. I booked a Thai massage with Kate, and she was absolutely incredible. She really knows what she's doing--perfect balance of deep pressure and stretching, and she paid attention to exactly where I was holding tension. I walked in feeling tight and stressed, and walked out feeling completely refreshed and loose. Kate was also very professional and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. If you're looking for a place that delivers both relaxation and real results, this is it. I'll definitely be coming back and asking for Kate again. Highly recommend! read more

Kate is the best masseuse around! Im a 31 yeqr old female with terrible back issues. Ive gone in multiple times to Kate for when I've thrown out my back and could barely walk. She is a healer! The next day im back to normal and it makes me filled with joy with the works she does for me. I've never had someone help my back the way she does. I will always recommend her! read more

Went here for my first massage and had a really good experience. The place is a bit older and small, but it feels private and relaxed. The ladies were very kind and made me feel comfortable, which I appreciated as a first-timer. My boyfriend and I did a couples massage--great experience overall. Pricing was reasonable, and it helped with some pretty bad back pain (at least temporarily). Simple, no-frills spot with friendly service. I'd come back read more

I was apprehensive about a new massage place, but my wife insisted I try. I am seriously elated I followed up and kept the appointment. Magic happened and I witnessed someone who automatically, perhaps through some Thai sixth sense, knew where my body needed attention. I was aware I needed work and therefore OK with enduring some "healing" discomforts. Since I now trusted her and recognized that I am better off experiencing every caring moment, I will be going back soon. read more

This was my first Thai Massage, and didn't have a clue what it entailed. My masseuse's name was ChaCha. She was caring, thoughtful, and made me very comfortable while she worked on me. She did an amazing job. I plan on returning. read more

I had an incredible 1 1/2 hour massage from Kate. I did the Thai combo massage. Kate was able to address a lot of the tension in my arms, neck, shoulders and legs. I love deep tissue massage and she was very attentive and effective in targeting and releasing tension in the areas I described. I'd recommend her to anyone who wants a professional and custom massage based on your needs. Can't wait to come back! read more

Kate was a gift from heaven . Absolutely beautiful way to celebrate the new year . I ve had chronic lower back and hip pain for two years ;Surfing and woodworking have helped to cause this . Thanks to my pro active girlfriend , this Thai massage / assisted stretching will become a monthly routine . I recommend anyone suffering from similar back pain / hip pain to make an appointment this new year ;) Thanks again read more

Kate knows what she is doing! If you have aches and pains and want a serious massage, check her out. She helped me :)

When I say that this lady "doesn't miss a square inch" it can not be exaggerated!!! If you are like me and desire truly deep tissue massages for your aching body, you need to visit Kate at Rain Thai Massage! I've had "Thai Massages" before but apparently I was getting the knock off version, because this lady took it to another level. The stretches combined with deep tissue compression on your legs and back was incredible! I quit literally be the best deep tissue massage place in all of Ventura County (and I have been to some good places!!). I came because I was impressed by the reviews, but they don't do it justice... This place is INCREDIBLE!!! I went on a 4 mile jog yesterday and that was pretty hard on my larger frame but Kate took care of all that... I feel like I could go do another 5 miles but I won't bc she warned me that I will be sore tmrw from the massage and I believe (drink a lot of water!). Ha! If you want to be pleasantly surprised, come give them a try. At first l thought it was a little pricey but after you leave your massage feeling like a million bucks it's penny's in comparison!!! Do it! Forreals!!! read more

Rain Thai Massage - Front door - Massage Near Me - Ventura, California

Amazing! Another great find narrowed down because of Yelp. My wife and I were in town for a weekend conference and was looking for a couples massage for our Saturday date night. After reviewing numerous Locations we decided on this location based on reviews. Got a great vibe from this Location with their fast and informative responses to our questions via text. It made our experience more personal and we had not yet arrived for our appointment. The location was private with plenty of parking in the rear. My wife and I chose the 3 style 90 minute couples massage. We had never had a timer saas and took the advice of June the owner. June and her partner Rose Were very accommodating, polite and humble throughout the experience. Made us both feel comfortable and relaxed from the start. The combination of yoga, Thai and deep tissue massage as were amazing. I'm a talker and was very appreciative June put up with my conversation while my wife grunted and groaned from the treatment she was receiving. I can honestly say I was not expecting such a strong and pleasantly painful massage. June Was always checking and concerned if I was in any way uncomfortable or in pain. I'm a pretty big guy and was actually embarrassed to tell her to ease up a few times. LOL. My wife and I work stremely pleased and satisfied with our experience. As many reviews stated, we wish we could have been longer and the 90 minutes went by quickly. I thought I would be sore and in pain the next couple days but surprisingly I was not. My wife and I were already talking about finding a reason to visit the area just for another massage.Highly recommend. Even had follow up contact by June a few days later which was A nice touch. Highly recommend and will definitely return. read more

I just traveled here and I need a massage to refresh myself so much. I'm very happy that I chose the right place. It's so relaxing and skillful. And the people here is so friendly I'd say it's much better than a lot Thai Massage in Bay Area and the price is affordable! I also buy one (I think it's pain relief and make me so refreshed)for myself! I love this so much! read more

Wife and I just had a 90min couples massage for Valentines Day. Thai Massage is not your regular massage. Don't plan on taking a siesta while they're working on you. They'll stand on you and use their heels to find all the hidden knots you didn't know you had. There will be plenty of stretching involved also. 90min flew right by. We should have done 2hrs. My wife had June the owner I believe and I had Nikki. It hurt so good. Highly recommend. read more

Finally a legitimate massage!! Came here to remedy my stress from work and general aches, pains, and fatigue. A 90 min Thai Massage session here was all I needed. I don't recall my masseuse's name but I will gladly be back! read more

This review has been a long time coming! It goes to show how memorable a treatment I had, because after a few months it still bothers me that I haven't found the time to sit down and write a review for Kate. Kate is amazing!! First, she was able to get me in for an appointment quick. When I met her she was so kind, friendly and made me feel so comfortable. The treatment was amazing. She really knows the body and is super strong. A true healer. I left feeling amazing and can't wait to go back. I have had many massages over the years, this was by far was the best! read more

I had an excellent experience here! I believe it was Kate who worked with me. She took me in last minute on a random weekday evening last week. She was so professional and personable, and gave me the best massage of my life. She also taught me a few stretches to do at home and talked me through how she would handle a problem area of mine. This place is very clean and privately tucked away (yet being on a busy street). Pricing is very fair for what you receive. I definitely recommend and will certainly be back :) read more

Overpriced for the service. Theragun does a better job at getting kinks worked out. Tried it but meh. Can't figure out the ratings because parking is an issue, access, loudness because if the loud traffic, only 1 private room and the rest divided by curtains. The oil is itchy and smelly too. read more

My back and shoulder pain was getting worse, so I finally caved and started looking for a legit Thai massage place. This place had great reviews, so I gave it a try. I knew the place was the real deal when I saw the massage room and it had the hand rails on the ceiling (which allows the masseuse to walk on your back). Traditional Thai massage is amazing! June is the best. Very strong and professional. I've been back several times now, and my back and shoulder pain is slowly going away. The cost is reasonable as well. I would highly recommend! Tip: Instead of street parking in the front, pull in to the parking lot and park in the back. read more

Kate, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart, as I spoke to you yesterday I couldn't feel my fingers for a year almost a year and a half. I was told I needed surgery. I was told I can get shots and I wanted either as soon as I came to you and had a session I can feel my fingers I was able to tie my beets this morning, something I struggled with for a long time. This is amazing thank you so much for everything. I'll see you next week. read more

My wife and I badly needed a massage to relax from our heavy labor extensive life style. Searching for a massage place, we found Rain Thai Massage which reminded us what we experienced once on a beach in Thailand. My wife got a male and I got a female masseuse. My wife and I went in to get a massage that was much needed after moving to Oxnard. Gail was my masseuse and June my wife's. This is a traditional in Thai massage but instead of lying on a flat platform they had a custom table which you could lie facedown on a doughnut. I work out a lot and usually carry a lot of tension in my back. I asked Gail not to hold back. Along with an amazing deep tissue massage, she cracked my back, and stretched my whole body. I felt more loose after than I had in years. My wife who prefers a lighter massage told June so and was beaming afterwards and was so excited to find our new go to massage place. I can't recommend Rain Thai Massage enough. We will be back in two weeks. Oh, and they accept Venmo which was super convenient. read more

Great massage. Make sure you get the combination massage. It's truly worth it. June is the best.

All I can say is... It's like getting a workout without having to lift a finger-Best Thai massage... BAR NONE!

Kate is amazing! She is not only skilled at her craft, she is also very intuitive. I am definitely going back to her.

I'm a masseuse who needs a lot of work on my body so I can do what I do. Kate is amazing, her Thai technique is exactly what I need to loosen me up and provide relief for my sciatic issues. read more

So before you choose to have this type of massage you need to understand it is not your typical 50 minute "go to sleep" type of rubdown. If you are a fan of Thai massages, &/or you have a lot of stress and tension knots in your body and not a lot of flexibility, you want to come here to be worked on to relieve muscle tension, stress and stretch you out. I haven't been sleeping well for a week as my neck and shoulders and upper back were killing me probably from poor posture and bad couches at home! After reading the Yelp reviews for Rain Thai Massage, I called up June and requested an hour and a half appointment. I didn't even ask how much it was going to be because I knew that a massage would be be well worth it! She uses her hands, feet, legs and whole body to work on your knots. If you think a Swedish massage is tough, you may not be able to handle this! She is from Thailand and learned the technique while she lived there, but of course in the United States you have to go to school and be certified to be a masseuse, so when she arrived here she attended school and received her certification. How do I know this? I discussed this with her while she worked on me. You do not have to talk to her as she can work on you in silence, but it is not relaxing in any way. Actually, it's quite a workout to try and talk while she contorts your body into a pretzel. She twists and bends and lifts and stretches you in directions that you probably haven't done with your body in at least 20 years, and she finds lumps and knots where you didn't even know you could get any. That's a true Thai masseuse's talent & magic. I had a " Come to Jesus" epiphany with my body after my back was stretched & it cracked & popped....in a GREAT way! At the end of the session, she brushes your body with a very warm towel then rubs off the excess oil and lotion but continues to massage. At the end, you are left sore & yet rejuvenated. Working out deep knots and tension is not a walk in the park and does not necessarily feel good, but the end result of loosened muscles & tension rubbed out is something you will thank your heavenly being once they are finished with you. You won't go home and take a nap that's for sure! You might have some difficulties moving around but you should feel looser and much more flexible afterwards. Rain Thai Massage converted me, again, to a huge fan! I will definitely be scheduling one of these at least once a month. It does so much good for your overall health & well-being. Treat yourself to this amazing therapy. It could help prevent you from having to see a doctor or having surgery for stress & tension pains. If I could, I would give 10 stars! It is beautifully decorated, quiet & clean! This is not a cheesy massage joint, but a bona fide therapeutic massage place where a "happy ending" is your body having the ability to move better and stress and tension melts away from your muscles. read more
