I came here as I had some back pain from sitting a lot during work. I saw Roly and he was very professional. I was consulted on what area's I would like to work on and he gave suggestions on how we could best utilize the session. I had requested staying on focus area of the back to help with muscle tension. I had never had massage scrapping done before. It was kind of painful and left my back red for a week - but the results as it healed back were great. I had more flexibility with my back, could sit straighter and the healing encouraged me to stretch more during the day and keep the results we achieved during one session. I would defintely make more of a habit of going if not for the prices. Last time I went to a massage envy they were $49 they are now $75 starting for intro pass. You can get a monthly pass which allows you a massage or facial once a month for a subscription fee of $75. I would recommened it if you would like to try a recovery pilot or just need a spa day. I really enjoyed my session with Roly and will probably book him again in a few months time. read more

Massage Envy Dulles South is an excellent location to go to. The front staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their service providers, Roly and Alejandra have been phenomenal. As for facials, Alice is seriously the best. She explains exactly what she is doing and the reason for it and always gives 110%. Whether you are coming in to relax or relieve some pain, this is definitely the place to go. I have been a member with massage envy for over 10 years - it was the easiest way for me to find a new massage therapist when we moved (we moved frequently for a few years) but I have stayed a member since we've been here a while because the front desk and massage therapists have been a good fit for me at the Dulles Landing location. I haven't ever had a problem booking appointments or finding a new massage therapist that meets my needs. I really appreciate how the front desk is friendly and listens when I specify what type of a massage I want. I don't find that everywhere, even some of the high end spas in the area have left me disappointed because they didn't listen to what I needed. They definitely get that different massage therapists are good at different things. read more

Hit or miss here. Depending on who you get at the front desk. I've had exceptional service and some left me upset. Communication between the service provider can be improved. I once sat there for half an hour past my appointment time, only to be told my therapist called out sick. Ok...why didn't you tell me that when I checked in. IMO - the therapists aren't super great at taking clues on whether or not you want to talk. I will ask how they are doing, but that tends to open the door for their life story. Even when I say, I'm going to nap... Not the best when you are paying good money to relax. read more

I've been going to Massage Envy for 6-7 years and this Dulles Landing location ever since it opened a couple years ago. I love the location being close to where I live. The staff at the front desk are very friendly. I've experienced many of the therapists here. They all ask what I'm looking for, where I need more focus, etc. As some other reviewers noted, some of the therapists can be chatty - I just tell them I would prefer not to talk and want to relax quietly. They all comply with that. There have been a couple minor issues I experienced with scheduling, but when I talked with the manager, she fixed things and made things right financially for me. I think it's definitely worth $60/mo for a massage. I see Alice to get facials too. She gave me some great advice about my dry skin (I didn't buy their product either) which helped tremendously. It's a very nice massage center and people at the front desk were very polite and professional. Unfortunately the person that gave me a facial massage, in my opinion, did a very bad job. She was a nice person but I don't think she cared of doing a good job at all. She did not give me any facial massage. She only applied the products like vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, like I could do in front of the mirror but didn't give me any face massages at all. The facial massage was schedule for an hour but it started after 2PM and finished before 3PM. The time paid for the service wasn't given to me in full. I am very unhappy with the quality of the service. In the end, for this horrible job, I gave her 20% tips. I was embarrassed not to give her a tip even though it wasn't earned. I wasn't planning to give a review but I just don't other people to have the same experience as me. Hopefully the management will see this review and take actions to correct the problems. We originally signed up for a membership but after many mistakes on the schedulers part (asked for a female scheduled us with a male twice, never answered phone-left a voicemail to cancel an appointment-they dont check messages), we decided to terminate our membership before our first massage. Masseuse (Name starting with K) seemed nice and sweet, but did not stop talking and asking my questions the whole time, even asking me questions about work which stressed me out. This is VERY unprofessional WHEN a client specifically states that they want a relaxing massage. In fact, I left feeling more stressed and agitated than when I came. Never had a masseuse continuously talk throughout a treatment. Was clear with my one word answers I don't want to converse and that I didn't want to engage in a conversation. The massage itself was very mediocre. I should have read the reviews first. This place was absolutely dreadful and what a waste of $75. Upon leaving I informed the front desk of my experience who shrugged her shoulders and didn't look like she cared at all. Very disappointed in the overall experience. Nothing about my massage was relaxing. My massage therapist, while very nice, is not someone I would recommend for the following reasons: 1. My massage therapist talked THE. WHOLE. TIME. I get massages to close my eyes and relax, isn't that the point? And I tried giving clues that I didn't want to talk without being rude (like not responding or saying "mhmm") but they didn't get the hint. There were times they would talk and literally stop the massage to make eye contact and continue a convo.. 2. They didn't put a cloth over my eyes, I've never gotten a massage where they didn't do this. So I had to make eye contact with them when they were trying to talk to me. 3. My massage therapist reeked of cigarettes. I had to shower when I got home because I felt like my whole body stunk of second hand smoke. 4. They decided to use a stool to sit on throughout the massage, which is fine. HOWEVER, instead of gently gliding around the table they decided to kick the stool whenever they needed to move it. There were several times they just kicked it into the table, making a very loud abrupt noise and shaking the table. 5. They didn't massage my whole body! They completely skipped my arms and hands, and only massaged one foot?! On top of that, when I booked my massage I was told it would be $70, but when I got home I noticed I was charge $100? FRONT DESK, especially "R-A-Y" does not even deserve a one star. Btw, that is how she introduced herself to me, spelling it out as i help myself out of the place, after coming to the facility just to ask for her name. I personally had to come there and ask for her name because i was speaking with her on the phone initially to schedule a next day appointment for me and my friend and she got frustrated because am clarifying about their policy about transferring credits. i am trying to clarify because i never had issues before doing that and am even bringing customers for them. When she told me "Is that clear?!" That was when i answered her back that she does not need to be rude and sarcastic. then I asked for her name. She hung up on me 2 times so i called back the 3rd time and a different team member picked up the phone and refused to also give her name. That is when i decided to come to ask for her name. When i got there she hurriedly open the door for me and sarcastically ask what i need. i asked why she hung up, and she acted like the victim and told me that she felt harassed. REALLY?! SERIOUSLY? Let me decipher this... She felt harassed because??? a) I asked for her name OR b) i called twice the facility just to ask for her name For her to turn things around and feel like she is a victim is so sad. Unfortunate and disappointing that people like her work in customer service. She shouldn't be working at the front desk in the first place. Manners and respect comes a long way. She is very unprofessional. I have more than 40 PAID SESSIONS to use and has been a member for a while. I've never had issues going to this facility before i even placed a 5 star review before for an outstanding service i get from facial and massages there. First of all, it suffices to say that I consider Massage Envy the fast food of spas. I don't find it all that relaxing any time I go (which is only when I get a gift certificate). I live in Leesburg so my first disappointment was I tried to schedule online and did not get a response in 24 hours so I called. No appointments when I could make them. I called Ashburn & Sterling, same deal. Then I called Dulles South. I got an appointment - not at my ideal time but I could make it. I had $120 GC burning a hole in my pocket from Christmas, and a cramp in my thigh, so I needed to get in. I told them about the muscle knot, and I was pleased that I DID get a lot of advice about that, and some education about stretches, supplements, etc that I should take to avoid this problem in the future, and the therapist did work on the areas of pain. (Note: she did not try to sell me anything, which I am sure her bosses will get ticked about, but if she had tried to sell me stuff it would have made me mad, so I am grateful for her tact.) The problem is I had 1 hour.... and once she was done working on my thighs, there was barely anytime for a real relaxation massage - which I desperately needed. So now I still need to go to a spa for a relaxation massage. I can't decide if I am upset or if she appropriately prioritized and addressed the most important issue. Thus, the 3 stars rating. Will I try to schedule with Massage Envy for my follow up relaxation massage? I don't know. Maybe I need to go to a real spa. Besides, I only have $40 left on my GC and because I didn't buy a membership ($70/month for 1 hour massage a month), I will need to pay $100 for an hour massage. Their massages are worth, at best, $70 an hour. The intro is $60 (plus tip is $80). Maybe I will add $20 to my GC and give it to someone who can get an intro massage for $60, and *I* will head to a real spa. read more

one of the WORST facials I've ever gotten. the esthetician I got stated "I didnt do all the steps today, but did the necessary." my facial was supposed to be one full hour, but it was 40 mins long. and they charged me $60 for the service. I felt pushed away. not cared, felt rushed, and did not receive the full service. the esthetician was very harsh on my skin and didn't do any massage, the water kept on going into my eyes and behind my neck. Unfortunately most of the reviews here are accurate. The message is subpar at best. At times I even questioned whether my therapist was licensed. Additionally I paid for a 60 minute message and during my greeting they told me they use ten of those minutes for consultation dress/ undress (consultation took one minute). The therapist was 4 minutes late to the appointment so I received apx 45 minutes of the 60 minute message I paid for. The message itself was unpleasant, therapist was unskilled and or inexperienced which is the primary reason that I will not return. read more

He was very professional, kind and knowledgable in the muscles in the body. He asked where my discomfort was and got straight to work. Very thorough. I highly recommend Jeff. I'm indifferent to this location because their esthetician made me break-out when she claims she's been doing facials for nearly 2 decades and my massages lately have only been subpar. My facial experience was kind of on the snobbish side of things. She exclaimed about other clients who regularly come in and have transformed their skin, but continued on about how bad my skin was (which I knew, that's why I came in to begin with) and made all these other side comments. She asked me how often I washed my hair and I said every other to every other 3 days to which she said I was lying? I don't know how you can determine how often a person washes their hair, but she went on to say, "Girl, don't wash it everyday, it's not good for you!" - which... I know it's not. She told me she had been doing this for years, but she messed with several pimples that never popped and became inflamed and then told me not to touch them. I also remember her telling me that my Asian skin just "acts differently" than her other clients. She made me buy a whole new skincare regimen from Murad and it broke me out like no other. I'd understand if it was a product that forces all your impurities out and get then proceed to get better, but that was never the case for me. It was highly disappointing that I spent nearly $100 for this service and their products. Their massage therapists lately have been lacking. I typically have Louis who is my absolute favorite with Jason as my second choice and Shelly for my third. None of which have been available as of late. My last two therapists didn't focus on my lower back area which I specifically requested as well as a full body massage; and both of them had mainly focused on my traps and shoulders - which was nice and also in need, but not what I came in for. I even remember when I was scheduled to come in this one day and my therapist had to cancel and stuck me with another therapist - which is fine, things happen, but to only be informed when I'm awaiting for my massage the hour of and come back in two hours time is a bit irritating. If it was the other way around, I would've been charged for the service. I don't remember my last two therapists' names because I personally only remember the ones who take care of me. Louis does deep tissue to the best my body can handle. Jason tries to incorporate stretches in his. Then Shelly just finds all the right spots where my aches and pains are. I have a membership because of the fact that I'm entitled to a free one hour rollover massage every month and can utilize it for friends and family as well - it's just. I gifted my mom who is a cancer survivor a 90 mins massage session today and it she felt horrible after the massage! I went in and talked to the therapist to make sure she understands that all I was looking for is 90mins of relaxation. The therapist literally told my mom that she is tired and has backache hence the worst massage experience!! I am like you should have told me if the therapist isn't feeling well! I was discouraged after having a very creepy massage from a male therapist. Switched to a female - she was great but impossible to make ongoing appointments with due to demand. Eventually I called to cancel my membership but was told by the manager I needed to come in for paperwork to make it official. Took care of that & was assured I wouldn't be charged again. When I was charged again a month I called & was told I needed to come back in to do the paperwork again because it must have been lost. I had a 90 minute massage with Trey today. I was looking to relax and have a few areas on my neck and shoulders worked on. I have been getting massages for over 15 years, and this was top notch. My definition of an enjoyable massage is one where you can relax and let the professional do their thing. I've had massages where I've been on edge and unable to relax because I was unsure of the therapists' next move. That wasn't the case with Trey. I was able to unwind and be in a zen of relaxation and tension relief. I requested firm pressure, and always do. I've never had a therapist deliver such firm pressure in a way that didn't make me tense. He knows what he is doing. I had a pleasant time with the front desk, and have scheduled my next appointment with Trey. I'm a hairstylist, and I know what confidence, knowledge, and service looks like. I've visited twice and won't be back. Both visits were to be for a 60 min appointment but the actual massage only lasted 45 min. Both started 10 minutes after the appointment time and the both ended approx 5 min early (I was 15 min early to each session so it wasn't me showing late). Both times I left still sore in the areas I informed them needed work. I've been to several other professionals and the overall quality of the experience just wasn't there. read more

The therapists are good at this location. However, my issue is with their accounting department. We cancelled our membership back in July of 2017. They decided to not actually cancel the membership and put it on a "six month hold". In Feb they charged my account again and we called to find out why they stole $60 from us. They informed us of the "hold" and we told them to cancel (we signed all of the paperwork again). Then they stole $60 from us again in April 2018(which we missed) and they stole another $60 from us just last night (May 2018). We will be going to this location to talk to them about their illegal activities and the lawsuit that we will file against them if they commit further bank fraud and steal more of our money. Do NOT go to Massage Envy, but if you must go then do NOT EVER enter in to a membership agreement with them. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. read more

I am so excited about this new Massage Envy clinic! I've been to several Massage Envy clinics and they all share the same high quality. I would recommend Richie Greer for anyone needing a massage for chronic pain relief. He was my therapist at the Fair Lakes location and just moved to this one. He listens to my concerns and it shows in the massage. I have Fibromyalgia and this can be very tricky for some therapists, but Richie was able to address all problem areas without over doing it. After a massage with him, I feel rested, relaxed, and ready to schedule my next one. read more

My boyfriend gave me a GC for a massage that I have been holding onto for way to long. I finally decided to get one since I have been having horrible tension headaches. This location was the soonest I could get in. I made an appt for 1pm with Nevaysha. Per the text they send they ask you to get there AT LEAST 10 mins early to fill out paperwork. Because I run my own business, I had a last minute meeting that came up at 2pm. I knew it was beyond the 24 hour mark, so I thought that there could be a possibility of getting seen a bit sooner. The front desk guy was nice. I asked him if I had to sign anything and he said no. I sat in the quiet room and I saw Nevaysha come up with her jacket on. At this point it was 1245. I heard her say 'My next one isnt til 1 right'? The guy at the front informed her that I was already here and that if possible I needed to be done by 2. Her comment was 'Well if she was going to be ready this early why did she make the appointment'? She then huffed past me and came back, her jacket still on and asked if I was ready. She didnt even wait for me to follow her and darted to the back. I actually had to search for her in the dark hallways. Found her in a room and she quickly barked orders at me. I got ready and while laying on the table face down, she came in and said 'Legally I cant touch you til you sign the waivers.' I mentioned that was what I had asked the front desk guy and she said 'Yea I dont know he is pulling it up now.' She came back with the ipad, put it on a chair in front of me. I cant see anything without my glasses, so I was waiting for her to leave. I looked over my shoulder and she is staring at me from the door and says 'Are you going to sign the waiver?' I told her I cant see anything without my glasses. She mumbled oh and walked out. At that point I was done. It has been forever since I have had a massage and I legitimately have a need for it. Would never recommend this place to anyone which is a real bummer bc it is in a great location! read more

This location has been a nightmare since becoming a member Christmastime 2019. Needles to say, they've been given plenty of opportunities to do right, and before you say, "well, Covid...", I've visited other locations during this time and they've been amazing. The Dulles South location NEVER had the ability to schedule my husband and I at the same time at any point of the day. They never had a female therapist available after 3-4pm. They said they would set us up with appointments at the Fair Lakes location, gave us a day and time, we show up and there were no appointments made. On a scale of 1-10 our massages have been 2's. We always schedule firm pressure and one time the therapist was so gentle and so awkward as he moved around my body it was awful. If he was new, he shouldn't have been allowed with customers yet. Another time an older woman talked during the entire massage. She didn't get the signals that talking was not desired. To say the least, we canceled our membership and had many credits built up. They gave us a good amount of time to use them and as I went to schedule my last massage today (my husband has 3 credits left) they said you can't transfer credits after you've canceled your membership. Well, that's not what the Sterling location said. They said there's a work around for that. Dulles Landing is just AWFUL on all fronts, everything from customer service to the treatments. Had similar experience to others. I was really excited for my massage, looking to relax. I wrote this on the intake and repeated several times I wanted a relaxing massage. The therapist talked the ENTIRE time. Small talk, life story, constant jokes. It was awful. I did not relax at all and the massage hurt more than it did anything else. She also didn't have a timer in the room (wasn't working) so she asked to use MY PHONE to keep track of the time. She stopped my massage so I could get my phone for her to use to track time. It was seriously the worst experience. I should have asked to speak to the manager but I was so annoyed about the entire experience I just wanted to get out of there so I didn't say anything. read more

I've gone to this location twice. The first time was last summer when they first opened. I came out more stressed out than when I came in. The massage therapist did a poor job listening to what I needed and went overboard. Then today I came back, thinking I'd give them another chance, and again left disappointed. The massage therapist didn't even bother massaging my arms and hands, even though I got a 90 minute massage. He also kept massaging my neck even though I told him it hurt and I didn't really want that part of my massaged. I also used a gift certificate that someone gave me. I tried to give them the gift certificate when I first checked in to make sure there were no issues but after my massage, when they rang me up they claimed that my gift certificate balance was zero. If I hadn't insisted that I tried to give them the GC as I was checking in, they would have made me pay for the entire balance. They made such a huge deal that any new client would have definitely been turned off. I think it's just this location. It sucks!!! I've gone to the one in Ashburn/Sterling and that one is pretty good. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! read more
