Stopped in the Yelp Elite event for a mini facial to start the week off right. I haven't been to this location so was excited to see what this location was all about. The staff was pleasant and welcomed me in, giving me a quick tour of the location before I got settled in their relaxation room. The layout is a little different than other locations I've been to. Being a corner of the plaza, the room is much slender than others. Still offering fruit flavored water and a spot to sit while I waited, it wasn't long before I was brought into my session. The 30min session was quick and concise but went through the different stages of the treatment, cleaning, rejuvenating and protecting my skin for the rest of the day. The esthetician was able to answer all my questions about my skin which I appreciated as I am always trying to learn more. I came in at the last minute (scheduled online literally within 10 minutes of the appointment) for a rapid tension relief session after I'd experienced neck pain and tingling all week. It was no problem that I came in at the last minute and was checked in quickly by Alex who was very nice! The treatment was exactly what I needed and relieved my issue right away. My masseuse was friendly and knowledgeable. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that I felt that both the front desk and my masseuse that they were pushing me to schedule another treatment or get a membership - even mid treatment. I appreciate that this is a business, but let me finish my treatment first! If I knew how to make my first appointment, I certainly know how to make another should I need/decide. I have experienced this at another massage envy in the past so I'm sure they are instructed to do this by corporate, but it really seems sales-y, which is not what you want during a treatment. With that in mind, I will certainly return if I need a massage while I'm in the area, especially if I need at the last minute. read more

The front desk staff at this location is beyond rude. This has been going on for a few years. They don't seem to understand how customer service works. They are aloof and completely condescending. I am so happy I returned to Massage Envy. I see my chiropractor once per month and try to schedule my massage same day. David came highly recommended by my chiropractor and I think he is AMAZING! After hearing my concerns he addressed all with such care. He used the perfect amount of pressure on my achy areas. He is very friendly, extremely professional and made me feel comfortable. After just one massage I noticed the difference in how I felt. I made sure I returned today and will continue to do so to maintain what has been accomplished. Today I was lucky to attend A 30 min facial session at Massage Envy in Canton! What a treat and a wonderful way to end the evening. I haven't had a facial in ages! I know I know.. horrible.. my last experience was not good. But this... my Ohh my ... soooo relaxing!!! I didn't know facials were this good! But I must say I was greeted by Ana , the receptionist. She was friendly and sweet. We did some paperwork before hand. Great to speak to and great customer service. I received a complimentary neck warmer which I was happy about because I'm always cold! Then I met Paige, she took care of me during my facial! She assessed my skin ( face), made sure I had no allergies, focus point ect .. I left it up to her on what she thought would be best based on our discussion. She explained step by step the process and products. It was such a cozy room, she was very gentle and knowledgeable!! First visit to a Massage Envy and was very impressed! Came this afternoon for a Yelp Elite event and was treated to a mini 30-min massage. It's crazy how relaxing it was in only thirty minutes when a typical massage is double the time!! The staff was very friendly and helpful when I first arrived. I explained I typically have tension in my shoulders from sitting at a computer and they were very accommodating of that. My massage therapist was friendly and knowledgeable. She did a wonderful job for 30 minutes, hitting all the points we discussed prior. Once time was up, she greeted me outside with a hot towel and cup of water, so sweet! I didn't know much about Massage Envy before my visit, other than it was a "chain" but it sure didn't feel that way when I was there. I will definitely be back to try a full 60-minute massage and will update this review!! read more

I've been going to this location monthly for about a year. Before coming here, I had no experience with massage. My goals were stress management and reduced muscle tension. Massage Envy is doing a great job meeting my needs. The atmosphere Is very relaxing. The waiting room (beyond the front desk) is kept dark(er) and has only chairs, magazines and a water cooler with fruit-infused water. The staff picks you up from this room; so, it has an intimate, chilled vibe. The massage staff here are all licensed massage therapists who have had additional training beyond licensure. This is one of the ways Message Envy has created a consistent customer experience. I've worked with three different therapists here. My current favorite therapist is Amy Sue. She was offered an afternoon appointment for today & switched her work schedule around to accommodate the new appointment time. As she was headed to her appointment they called her to cancel again. You really couldn't give her more notice? Now, NONE of the locations have any openings today. if she happened to cancel her appointment today within the time frame you canceled on her she would have to pay 50% of the cost. Front desk is very professional but after trying six massage therapists in one year, will look elsewhere. Deep tissue is more loke putting lotion on you. ** 4 stars for Denise ** 3 stars for Massage Envy I've had quite a few massages in my life, and my latest 50-minute massage with Denise definitely delivered in some of the most important aspects of a massage experience. Denise used very strong pressure, which is what I was looking for, and she was able to find some really knotty spots not only in obvious places like my shoulders but also my pectorals, neck, and face. She spent a lot of time working on the knots, adjusting my body as necessary to help increase blood flow. I've had very few massages where the masseuse would address specific areas this diligently. I was a little less impressed with the work she did on my calves and legs, but I think she was in a hurry. (I was the last very late appointment of the day.) I appreciated that she gave me some tips on things to do outside of M.E. based on what she was able to feel on my body. M.E. is definitely a nice, tranquil space. However, when there are people walking through the hallways, you can definitely hear them. In terms of the room, I couldn't help but notice that the music was all over the place, which I found distracting (e.g., from piano classical style to more tranquil to wildlife sounds). The table has a heating option, which is awesome, but the sheets did not always stay in place, and the thread count was lower than other places. Definitely a good option if you're not super picky. read more

It has been a few years since I have been here but I am so scarred from my visit that I just have to leave a review to get it off my chest. My massage therapist was 15 minutes late to my session and did not add 15 minutes for me. So I paid full price for a 60 minute massage and only got 45 minutes. Then, she decided to slurp out of an empty cup the entire massage so thank god it was only 45 minutes because I wanted to rip my hair out. So much for relaxing right? Then someone slid a piece of paper under the door, she stopped massaging me to read it, searched around the room for lord knows what, then resumed. 5 minutes later, someone KNOCKS on the door and the massage therapists walked out of the room only to come back in, turn the lights up, and ASK ME if I saw a $5 bill while I was getting undressed. Horrible horrible horrible experience that years later I still think about it. I wish I knew my massage therapists name but I think I mentally blocked it out because of how bad she was. read more

I have been seeing him exclusively for two years, and have never been disappointed. Jordan knows the best pressure points and really adjusts to my personal needs. This is my first, and not last, time here, Jayne took care of me, and seeing as it's my first professional massage I really have no basis for comparison. But here goes. The staff is friendly, very friendly, very professional. I've read other reviews that the waiting room is small, but it is comfortable with the hot pillow for the neck (highly recommend). The massage table is very comfortable, and Jayne really knew how to hit the right spots. So, first time, not knowing what to expect, I can't say whether they were exceeded in that area, but I can say, I was the single most relaxing hour I have known. I had been to the Massage Envy in Canton for a Yelp Elite event (which was phenomenal) and I was excited to go back and see Nadine for a follow up facial in December. Unfortunately my appointment got canceled by Massage Envy and I wasn't able to rebook prior to the holiday. I received a ME gift card for Christmas and thought what a perfect time to use it after starting my new job. I was able to rebook a facial appointment with Nadine, who is very sweet and very knowledgeable, and showed up five minutes late because of traffic. I apologized profusely and everything was great. Nadine took me right away and got to work on getting rid of the imperfections in my skin to start fresh for the new year. After my facial I went to the front desk to pay and was given a pretty hard-core sales push to join the monthly membership. I thought about it, but considering I just started a new job the $65 a month was a little steep for me. I wouldn't be going to get a facial monthly and I certainly wasn't going to be getting a massage monthly. It just didn't seem like a good enough value for me. When I declined politely for the second time I was then offered a six-month membership, however I wasn't told what that monthly membership would fee would be... I was told that if I decided to join when I came back in March for another facial that they would try and waive the sign-up fees for the program if I wanted to join. While I completely understand the idea of the monthly membership, the sales tactic was a little too high pressure for me. I actually ended up feeling a little uncomfortable. I don't know if I'll return after my next scheduled appointment, just because the cost of the services does essentially double from the introductory cost, but if there something new to report after my next appointment I will. read more

I used to love this Massage Envy but recently They have gone downhill. The front desk is disorganized and not helpful. Their booking system or error on the part of the employees left me with two mistakes in scheduled massages. When I called to speak with a manager I was told she would get back to me. A week passed and no contact. Her excuse was that she was swamped. We were patrons for over a year and will never go back. Massages consistently started late or ended early. We have switched to the West Hartford location. If you decided to roll the dice and go here request Brittany because she's one of the very few that won't talk to you the entire massage. read more

II had the best experiences at massage envy! I have been having trouble with my Rotator cuff For a year and a half and my masseuse was able to work that muscle and cure that pain. I am not a first timer for massages and didn't really know what to expect with a chain massage organization. The Canton location was clean, the girls at the front desk were friendly and my masseuse did a really good job. She was quiet and strong. My shoulders are a bit of a mess, but I didn't hear her complain or grunt once! Loved: 1. the hours, open until 10pm?! That's fantastic for a busy person who actually works during the day. 2. My masseuse. Nice work Lindsey. You got me to enroll in the monthly massage with your skills. 3. The lighting. Dark and peaceful. Thanks for cranking that down. 4. Music. I have a thing for reeds and Native American soundtracks. The harps were a little nuts though. Skip that track. 5. The price. Definitely do able. 6. Location. So close to my house and near my grocery store and chipotle. 7. I can get a facial instead of a massage as part of my enrollment. Non loves: 1. The enrollment. I'll definitely do it, but I don't like commitment. We shall see... 2. When another masseuse has their door open chatting with a client, I can hear it. Hacking guy was not soothing. But that lasted less than 5 minutes during my 1.5 hr massage. Tolerable. Would love: 1. Aromatherapy would be awesome! 2. Decaf tea and more lounge chairs, but I get it. People are messy and they probably don't want to have to clean up constantly. 3. If they had a bigger lounge and a steam room I'd be there weekly. But alas, 1 hr for $60, 1.5 for $75. Went for my first ever massage here. Not an expert in the field of massages, but I really enjoyed it. I heard stories about pushy sales to join the Membership program. They did show me the details of it, but certainly weren't pushy about it. As for the massage, Brittany was amazing. The rooms are clean, have a relaxing atmosphere and I loved the heated tables you lay on. I guess some may say they are pricey, but to me this is a little luxury that I wouldn't do often so it was fine for me. I have been going to Massage Envy once a month for over a year. I've gone through a few massage therapists (one left & one cut her hours) but I've found every one of them all to be excellent. Not too chatty and always checking to make sure pressure is good, etc. I have always walked away feeling relaxed and my back has never felt better. The only concern I have is that they are not always running on time, although it could be because the previous client was late, and I only get 50 minutes on the table. I expect 55 minutes with 5 minutes to change in/out of clothes. If a client is late, they should be the one who is impacted by their tardiness. Overall, I am very happy with this establishment.
