I went to Samara with painful cystic acne that I'd had for over 15 years. Multiple dermatologists and medications couldn't get it under control. After one visit with Samara and treatment with her laser there was a significant difference in the active acne, as well as a significant slowing of new spots. Samara is so rude, she has no patience for her clients but yet expects to be paid a premium. i spent 1k on Botox (lytebo actually) and based on my research it's supposedly typically cheaper but can last longer. I only had my forehead, 11s and crows feet done. That's the most I have ever paid for those areas. I was expecting with such an experienced professional and owner of the spa that I'd receive great service and it was far from it. Not only was she rude but she was close to 20 mins late to the appointment. She provided no aftercare instructions and didn't even ask for a follow up appointment to ensure I liked everything and it looked good. I was a new client for her and had never had lytebo before so I would have expected she even pretended to slightly care what the results were. Oh and not to mention, after paying a premium for her services she's the only injector who's ever bruised me in the middle of my forehead. Samara defiantly does make money out of dissolving lips although she say she doesn't. You can know that by the fact that most injectors charge 200-250$ for a vial of hylenex and she charge 500$ minimum. Second, she dissolved my lips for absolutely no reason as you can see I'm the picture saying I have filler in the "back" of my lips, and gave me the worst lips that im dissolving and paying for now. And don't get me wrong, you should never price shop when it comes to your face, I will pay double for a good job. But this is a very unprofessional job, and the I paid 2900$ for this nightmare + 1000$ to fix her mistakes and she does not offer a full refund read more

Appointment text reminders were sent non stop at midnight leading up to my appointment and were rudely written; "you must arrive 15 minutes early"... how about please? Then my appointment is canceled last minute because she has something better to do. The fact she even sent this cancellation text is pathetic. I only had a consultation here, but I definitely would not go back for anything. Samara is dissolve happy. If you've ever had any filler she won't work on you until you dissolve which is $$$. She claims I still have old filler in my lips from 2-4 years ago which may be true for some people, but is not true for me. my lips naturally are very asymmetrical, have a white roll only on one upper side, protrusion of some of the borders, and an uneven border at the bottom. If she would have asked to see pictures of me before I ever had filler, she would see what I have now really is just my unfortunate natural anatomy and not old filler. I refuse to pay 500-800 just for dissolving that I know I don't need! I think her work is very good, which of course is what brought me in. But I think a true artist should be able to work with what someone comes in with as long as they aren't noticeably over filled, lumpy, or migrated into the wrong areas. In those cases I'm sure it's needed, but not for my thin asymmetrical deflated lips. I'll attach pictures of what my lips looked like before I ever had any fillers, what they looked like with filler done somewhere else, and currently. Another issue I have is that Samara was very cold, there's no warmth in her eyes or her presence. I didn't get a good vibe and I don't want someone like that working on my face. She's very abrasive with the way she speaks and you can see that in her replies to "haters" on instagram. Just a personal preference for me I guess. Finally my last issue is that I had put down a $200 deposit for the dissolving appt, went home and decided I'm not doing it, and emailed to cancel the appt. Maia emailed me back that she would cancel the appt but never mentioned anything about my money. You'd think she would write that the refund will be on its way or what I need to do to get it back. I emailed Maia a few days later to ask about my money. She said "yes i can do that refund for you but you'll have to call to start it." Why wasn't that mentioned in the first email response? Why did I have to reach out a second time to inquire about my money? Also on their instagram stories it was mentioned that "filler, skin, and body consultations, are all complimentary for this month." And when I emailed to ask why I was charged a $100 fee for my consult I was told "that promotion doesn't include face fillers, only body fillers." A lot of wishy washy sneaky stuff going on with this company and I don't like it. I will find someone else who does beautiful lips too, but with a more straight forward and honest approach on how they run their business. read more

In retrospect, a large red flag for me would have been the hundreds of 5 star google reviews for this business -with over 95% of them written by some "person/persona" with ONLY ONE review - which is of this business.... All of them written with the same voice, punctuation, tone and just glowing things to say! Nothing suspicious about that.... lol I had seen a good number of seemingly authentic positive reviews and most of them pertain to Samara, and perhaps if I had seen her, I would have had a better experience. I have never been to a MedSpa before so I think it would also be fair to say I had low expectations. This was the first time I have spent this kind of money on myself and I have to say I am disappointed in the results. I don't expect them to waive a magic wand, but I did think that the results should have been better for what I paid for. My total cost was over $3,000 (neck) and I would say on a scale of 1-10 I am at about a 2, maybe 3 in terms of how I feel about the results. I would say that I felt the appointments were always rushed (like let's get you in here-late, needles, and get your stuff and get out). I had asked a follow up question as to what to do about some lines on my lips and was told by the person that did my service that they would get back to me (they never did - so I ended up going to another MedSpa). Just not great service overall. I don't want to call out my provider online but overall, I felt that she rushed the procedure, there was really no follow up from the office to ask me if I was satisfied and I am left with mediocre results. I feel if you are paying $3000+ for a procedure, SOMEONE should call you from the office to make sure you are happy with your service. I did find another MedSpa that I really like - all I can say is to do your homework. I feel like I got taken to the cleaners and that is not a good feeling as a customer. read more

Let me just start out by saying that Samara is an ARTIST and a MASTER at her job. I have been searching for four years, going to three different lip filler injectors and I have never been satisfied, until now. When I first went to see Samara, she advised that I needed to dissolve my lips before she injected me. WOMP. At first, I almost didn't believe her that I even had any filler left. BOY, was I wrong. My lips shriveled up into the lifeless prunes that they once were. I lived like this for two weeks so that they could heal from the dissolvent. (Longest two weeks of my life) When I went back for the filler, I was nervous because I guess I expected to be disappointed once again.. why would my lips produce a different and satisfying shape when they never have before? But somehow, Samara worked her magic and gave me the most luscious and juicy lips! I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing, she took her time and told me everything that she was doing. She gave me perfect lippies. No duck shape, no asymmetry, sure I had swelling and bruising, but that's normal and only temporary. I just want to add that the office itself is located in a super adorable area, with little restaurants, shops and a Starbucks (necessities). The rest of the staff is all super friendly, and the office is very clean. The entire experience is worth every penny. To say that Samara is a master of her trade would be an understatement. Samara Medspa continues to flag my reviews because they don't want the public to know the truth. I visited Samara MedSpa on 6/3/2021 for a PRF under eye procedure. After my PRF procedure, I was accompanied to the register and I discussed all the other procedures I planned on booking which included: 2 additional PRF procedures (to complete the package deal @$1500 which I discussed with Samara during my previous visits), a laser procedure for scarring on my nose and also lip fillers during the fall. In other words, I planned on investing an additional $3000K between now and October, a total of over $8000 from one customer for 2021 with the intention of continuing for years to come. So basically, $8K per year indefinitely from one customer. After being accompanied to the front desk I realized I forgot my wallet like an idiot, by accident. Just like the rest of the world, I've been locked up at home for the last year rarely leaving. I keep my wallet next to the side table in my living room so its readily available for Amazon/grocery purchases etc. I mentioned this to the receptionist and she stated I did have a card on file but it was my debit card. At the same time, I was notified that in order to get the PRF package deal I needed to purchase all 3 sessions at once (something I did not know prior to coming to my first PRF appointment). I did not want to put a $1500 charge on my debit card, especially without communicating with my husband first. I offered to drive home and call back to pay the full $1500 for the PRF procedures (the package deal) on my credit card before close of business in addition to booking my remaining appointments as a sign of good faith. Maia Oliveri, the office manager (per the receptionist even though the website shows her as a ZO expert? and still earning her undergraduate degree), very quickly and without much consideration, advised me that this was not acceptable and that I would have to use the card on file for the full $1500 if I wanted the package deal. Again, I advised I wanted to use my credit card not my debit card. I then asked if I could pay the $500 for my visit that day with the debit card on file and call back to pay for the remaining $1000 within 30 minutes so I could still get the package deal and I was advised that was also unacceptable. I was advised I'd be charged the full $700 that day even though I planned on purchasing the other two sessions within 30 minutes. I requested to speak to Samara directly and I was advised I would have to book a consultation at $100 just to voice my concerns. Have any of you reading this review heard of such a thing? Probably not, because it is absolutely INSANE. I questioned the reasoning behind paying $100 to talk to Samara regarding my concerns and I was then advised the message would be relayed and that Samara would call me back. To date, there has been ZERO calls, ZERO voicemails, ZERO emails, not even an acknowledgment. After spending so much money and after commiting to spend more I don't understand why I would be obligated to pay the $700 when Samara and Maia knew that I was going to purchase the other two sessions literally that day? Why not honor the $500 and then collect the additional $1000 within 30 minutes? It makes no business sense whatsoever. Not only that, but it's one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. I have never left a place feeling so nickel and dimed in my life which is surprising because Samara Med Spa doesn't look like an establishment that would need to exercise that degree of scrutiny and unreasonableness, especially with paying customers commiting to spend more! If you wear red bottoms, flashy purses and flaunt your money you may get better customer service. Seems like the Better Connecticut Specials are getting to folks. Stay away!! They are all about the money. Care nothing for you as a client. Samara is somewhat off. There are rumors about why this is but I'll just leave that here. Samara has a bad reputation among other spa owners as they now see her previous clients. If you write anything less than a five star review they will say you are not a client or a disgruntled ex employee who is trying to ruin the business. Good but they will not provide any filler treatments without requiring that they first dissolve it first if you have had previous filler elsewhere. I understand this is to guarantee quality results but I got the smallest amount of lip filler (less than 0.3 mL) over 2 years ago which has dissolved on its own so I didn't want to pay an additional $600+ to have that tiny amount dissolved before paying hundreds of dollars to have them filled again. read more

Very Disappointed. No issue with the work performed, though bruised all over. The issue is that the owner provided a quote of $2,800 for filler and threads before work began. When I went to check out I was given a bill for over $6,000! No discussion was had about additional costs, but I walked out in shock to say the least. I paid thinking the receptionist did not charge me correctly and that I would call the salon in the morning and they would correct the mistake. Seriously, I am sitting having work done thinking I am paying $2,800 and never heard the owner mention doubling the bill. It is not acceptable to agree on one price and not discuss increasing the price before work is performed. Very poor communication. Very disappointed in this new salon. The owner even asked me twice if $2,800 was okay for me to spend that day and I agreed to that price. I never received any contact from the owner regarding this issue only the receptionist who said she did not understand why I had an issue. So I wanted to provide an update on my 8/16/2021 post (make sure you read it first). I was contacted about my complaints that I initially made on the Samara website. The person I spoke with told me she would have Samara- the owner reach out. So here we are today, 9/2/2021 and still no contact. Also, my post is NOT on the website which confirms their lack of transparency. Of course they look great to the public if they are only sharing their 5 star comments. They took my 4K and ran with it. Terrible to know their little concern over customer satisfaction. All I have to say is "STICK TO THE LIPS". That is what you are known for and should provide. One last thing I forgot to share in my last post written on 8/16/2021. Half way through my ten treatments (the day of treatment 5) I stated that I saw nothing. I was told I would at least see a 50% improvement. I was asked if I had any weight gain since that could interfere with results. I weigh myself every morning at the same time, naked, and before I eat. I fluctuate from 129-130. So on treatment day 5, my tech weighed me and with clothes on, she said I weighed 126. I told her that was impossible since I have never weighed 126, ate two meals, and was fully dressed. She said her scale was callibrated. Well by treatment day 9 when I was really complaining that I have seen no change, I was weighed again. Low and behold the scale read over 134. Of course the tech said weight gain would interfere in my outcomes of treatments. I quickly questioned the integrity of their scale. Needless to say, I continue to weigh myself daily and still remain between 129-130. All I have to say is DON'T GET SCAMMED! read more

I am so happy and relieved after today getting filler with Michelle. I've had a wonderful experience with Natalie doing Venus Freeze and today, I did a long awaited round of filler- First of all it didn't hurt. That was a big relief- and no long wait- she said common in. She doesn't use numbing cream which got me a little anxious but after she started my service-, I was amazed that without the cream it hurt less than other places I've been.
