She was right! also got the numbing spray which I'm sure helped. Sugaring is not as nearly as painful as regular waxing. Although i got lucky, Glam Body is usually booked weeks out so appointments are really a must! The salon is really beautiful and clean, the staff is really friendly and kind, and the ambiance is very calming. As mentioned this was my first time sugaring so my body afterwards didn't really react well (wouldn't have known without trying it) but during the process I really enjoyed how calming and safe the esthetician was with me given it was my first time. During the massage the woman asked me multiple times if I wanted soft or heavier pressure, and each time I said soft very loud and clear, since my head was face down for the massage. Fast forward to the middle of the massage and she's standing on my back. Like actually standing. And it wasn't brief. I know this is something people do in general, like at home, but it seemed extremely unprofessional since she didn't ask first before doing it, and I had already said "soft pressure" not "please put your whole body weight on me in one place." I also know that 60min massages usually involve flipping around to have the front part (arms, legs, head) massaged about halfway through. She must have mistimed and I flipped over and then 10 minutes later her timer went off and the massage promptly ended. When I was filling out the receipt for the tip, the man at the counter pointed at the dotted line and said "Tip." (not as question. also extremely rich considering the quality of the experience.)
