The kind of hunger that hits after a gymnastics meet isn't subtle, and we walked into Masito ready for something warm and filling. It was a late lunch crowd, but the room still felt relaxed, and we were seated and settled quickly. We ordered the Cupbap Ribeye, kimchi fried rice, and a house ramen to share around the table. The ribeye cupbap really delivered on comfort -- tender pieces of beef layered over rice, savory and satisfying without feeling heavy. The kimchi fried rice had that familiar tang and warmth you hope for, with a good balance between spice and richness. The house ramen was exactly what we needed after a long morning: a hot, soothing bowl with deep broth flavor that felt restorative more than flashy. Midway through the meal, they surprised us with complimentary dumplings, which was such a thoughtful touch and honestly made the whole experience feel even more welcoming. Service stood out just as much as the food. Everything came out quickly, and the staff checked in at the right moments without hovering. They were genuinely friendly in a way that felt natural, not scripted, and it made the meal that much more enjoyable. Masito is the kind of place that understands what comfort food should feel like -- generous, flavorful, and served with care. If you're coming in after a long event or just need something satisfying and warm, this is a solid stop. Come hungry, and don't be surprised if they go the extra mile to make you feel taken care of.

Tried Masito Korean House Tofu for the first time this past Sunday around noon, and I was surprised to see only one other table occupied--especially during what should be peak lunch hours. That was my first hint that the place is still new and getting their footing. We were quickly greet by a very cheerful and friendly hostess/server. She was very cool so positive energy so made the time enjoyable. One we placed our orders, the banchan (side dishes) were quickly delivered and sadly just four small items but refillable. Even the most modest mom-and-pop Korean spots I've been to typically serve a more generous variety (like 5-7). Banchan is such a big part of the Korean dining experience, so this felt like a letdown but hey onward to main course. I ordered the seafood tofu soup, which is usually my go-to, but unfortunately the broth lacked flavor. It felt like it was missing that depth, spicy satisfying taste. To make matters worse, the shrimp in the soup were tiny baby shrimp--not exactly what you'd expect or hope for in a seafood tofu stew. There were generous amounts of tofu. Now on the BRIGHT side, the kimchi fried rice with spam is delicious!! The fried tofu bimbimpo was awesome too with the sauce. Service was polite and the space is clean, but overall the tofu soup felt can improve. There's potential here, so will come back end of year to try something else. Got to support the mom and pop shops and restaurants.

One other Korean restaurant in Yorba Linda and was so excited to try it. It's a little similar to BCD but home style. The food was good, but with some pros and cons. The soodubu was flavorful. The bibimbap was kind of oily and the black bean noodles were just ramen noodles, not jajangmyeon. The galbi was pretty little for quantity to price. The guys serving us were pretty nice though! Definitely a go to place if need some quick fill Korean food without going to LA or the OC.

Such a delicious Korean restaurant in Anaheim Hills. I've eaten here several times now - the food and service are consistently wonderful every time. There's just something so comforting about this restaurant. I don't know if it's because the staff is so welcoming, or if it's because it's smaller and cozier than other Korean restaurants, but I keep coming back! My go to order is the original beef tofu soup. The BBQ beef short ribs are also delicious. The entree combos are a good size to share. Prices for the combos vary depending on if it's lunch or dinner & they also have a lunch special menu. Banchan options are a bit limited, but I don't mind it because they serve my favorites. They close for a short period during the day, so I would recommend double checking the time before heading over.

I came here with my partner to try it out! The service was ok and the ambiance was a bit quiet! Not too much people were in, so I'm surprised it wasn't too packed! Short rib: juicy, flavorful, marinated well! Well seasoned! Definitely recommend! Japchae: simple and light flavoring with soy sauce and sesame oil. Light veggies such as onions, green onion and carrots! Tofu Soup: Not too much meat in the soup, nice spice and kick! TIP: Parking was ample and near the gas station! I believe there's a restroom in the corner of the restaurant (not too sure)! They do have a lunch special menu as well!

Restaurant closes at 9:00 pm per posted signage; but cut-off for dine in is 8:30 PM, sort of. First time finding this out was when I arrived at 8:45 pm. No biggie. I found out it's sort of 8:30 pm, when I arrived just before 8:30 pm and was turned away. I am happy for this establishment as it does not want or need my patronage. Came here around 7:45 pm. Plenty of parking and was seated right away. This is a small korean restaurant that mainly serves tofu soup. Service was great and everything came out fairly quick. This time we got the Galbi+ Pork Tofu soup combo and the Japchae. - Galbi 5/5: juicy, tender, and flavorful - Pork Tofu Soup: soup had a lighter vegetable flavor. Flavor of the meat did not get through in the soup 3.5/5 - Japchae(vegetarian): lightly flavored but still delicious. - banchan: was fresh and yummy 4/5 Finally a decent Korean place in Anaheim Hills. Definitely will go again. Too bad it closes a little early at 9:00 pm but most places in that area closes around that time so it's okay.

Masito is located in a very dark area across from Pep Boys. Because of how poorly lit the area is, I honestly thought the location wasn't open today but it was. The inside of the restaurant isn't huge but has a decent amount of seats. This place is definitely more of a to-go/takeaway place rather than a sit down restaurant. The food was pretty good, but the presentation wasn't great for a sit down restaurant, hence the four stars. Serving some of our dishes on actual plates vs others like kimchi fried rice served in a to-go bowl felt strange to me. The plastic water cups for dine in are also like the ones you'd get at a fast food place, yet a server comes and takes your order, so that was a bit odd for me in the consistency of a sit down dining experience.

Came on a Friday early afternoon and it was not busy at all. Server and (I'm assuming) the owner were both very attentive and friendly. They have some good lunch special deals. My friend got the bulgogi and I got the bulgogi lunch bowl. My friend brought her little kids and unfortunately they spilled some water. The server was very kind and understanding and helped us clean up our area. Space is pretty basic and very casual dining. It feels more like a fast food spot but excellent service, and everything was delish!

I'm averaging the rating of the two times I've been here. Maybe it was an off chance, but if you come here I'd recommend coming during lunch. We came on two separate occasions (second time was much better than first experience). 1st time (2 stars): We came on Wednesday for dinner at 7pm. Upon coming in they had a crying toddler in the kitchen and were severely understaffed. We felt bad about this as it seems like the lady waiting tables was also doing all the take out orders while also carrying and calming the screaming toddler. We waited around hoping for things to calm down. All the empty tables were still dirty and customers seemed annoyed at the wait. We sat for 35 minutes with no one coming by to give us water or taking our order. Neither of the three tables around us received any attention either as it seemed that they were working on a to go order. I did feel empathy as they seemed very stressed but we ended up leaving as it seemed like it would be another hour or two until we would've gotten our food with how slow things were going. 2nd time (4 stars): we decided to come back and give this place another chance, but decided to come during lunch time to avoid the craziness. It was a much different experience, it was a different waiter who was incredibly attentive and good came out quickly. The bbq short ribs were to die for and had the perfect amount of salty and sweet flavor. The vegetable tofu soup was delicious as well, would've wished that they put a little more veggies other than zucchini and mushrooms but overall was yummy!

Masito just opened up less than a year ago and I was finally able to try it! It's a family-owned business opened by two sisters featuring delicious Korean staples, including soondubu, galbi, seafood pancake, and other dishes! All the banchan are made in-house, and they also have lunch specials which make everything even more affordable than they already are. I was able to try the galbi, seafood pancake, soondubu, egg-mari, tteokbokki with dumpling, japchae, bulgogi bibimbap, and marinated pork. Everything was super flavorful and tasted fresh, all while the portion sizes are giant. The all-stars of the show were definitely the galbi, seafood pancake, and the bulgogi bibimbap! The galbi is tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. Probably one of the best I've had. The seafood pancake is crispy and less doughy than other places which I enjoyed. Definitely come try Masito for some quality and authentic Korean cuisine while supporting a small business!

I loooooove SHARING and recognizing businesses that consistently deliver exceptional customer service, and MASITO, a local restaurant in Anaheim Hills, truly stands out. Their amazing food showcases incredible flavors, freshness, with generous portions at unbeatable prices. Although the restaurant is small, the space is thoughtfully arranged to provide a comfortable dining experience. A new addition to the decore is a wall dedicated to drawings made by the kids that come to the restaurnat with their families. The idea of showcasing the drawings is awesome as it highlights a FAMILY setting. After lunch we had a delicious Asian-inspired dessert that combines creamy vanilla ice cream with red bean paste in a fish-shaped cone. NOTE before the meal is served, a SMALL cup of hot tea is provided, I don't know what type of tea it was but it sure was DELICIOUS.

Real Korean food in the AH/YL area! This place serves favorites like galbi and bulgogi, as well as bibimbap, tofu soup, and ramen. Portions were very generous. Service is speedy and friendly. Restaurant is small, but clean. A family-owned business. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I have been wanting to try out this place after seeing all the lovely reviews from my local FB group and I'm so glad I did! Not only was the food incredible but the service was as well. I have never met a more lovely person than Kate (who I assume is the owner). She was the best! She kindly asked to hold my little one and literally watched her while I enjoyed my meal. Great new Korean restaurant. Their spicy pork bibimpap was fantastic. I'd love to see them do an Octopus one. The egg roll appetizer and the chapjae appetizer was very good. Service was excellent. I am hard to please so take that into account, especially when you do my homeland's food. The one star review from Cindy T. is ridiculous. She didn't even "remember" the food. I hate people like that. This is a new restaurant getting out the kinks. Give them a break! Stupid spoiled reviewer. I would say more but don't want my review to be shelved. I have NO connection to the owners, but reviews like that are just ignorant and harmful. This is the only Korean restaurant around me. I want this place to succeed. Stupid Cindy T. read more

This review is for the amazing experience I had with Kate (owner of Masito). She went above and beyond her usual top notch customer service. I had a to-go order and already went home last night. She called and left a voice message saying that her new cook didn't make chicken pancake the right way like she expected & offered us a free pancake next time even though I kept saying it's ok. We are happy with the pancake we got. She still insisted with the right pancake next time. Kate is awesome and Masito food is always delicious. read more

I initially had the dinner combo to-go but my toddler daughter saw the place and wanted to eat in. I had called in about 10 mins before and food was already ready. I'm Korean born but raised here since pre-teen and had Korean food across states and europe as well as Korea. I would say this is one of the better places. I work in Irvine and often the food has too much sauce. PLUS, there are rare places offer MILD PORK as well as mild soup. I saw some comments that had issues w services. Since then, I can tell they are making efforts to address any concerns they received so should probably give more chances to local business. Esp considering first Korean restaurant in the area. Ambiance is typical Korean restaurant ambience and clean. BTW, i don't know the owners at all. But I have lived in AH/Orange for 10 years and excited for this new store to succeed. read more

Love love love that there is a new authentic Korean spot in AH and I don't have to drive far away to get my fix. Being that this is outside of certain ZIP Codes, where I normally go get good Asian food, my expectations wasn't set very high. However, this place was beyond my expectations as the restaurant is clean, and the food tasted homemade. I ordered the kalbi and kimchi tofu soup combo. The kalbi was lean, caramelized, and just the right touch of sweetness. The kimchi soup was on par with the spice and tanginess. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes. read more

My wife and I have introduced many friends to this place. Absolutely flavorful tofu soups and ramens. The Bulgogi Bibimbap is one of my favorites. Everything is delicious here. Love their kimchi too (every korean place needs to have a really good one) Super friendly, I wish more people who find this GEM, because the prices are great and the food is 5 stars. read more

We had a great experience and the yummiest food at Masito this evening! The Japchae was delicious and moreish. The bulgogi was tender and served piping hot, and the banchan was very flavorful. Went to masito for the first time as a large party. I ordered the combo with pork and tofu soup. I was immediately surprised at the generous portion of meat. Both were absolutely delicious and the banchan was amazing. I'll be back to try the bulgogi next time. Def a must try place! read more

We live nearby and since this tofu place opened. After our first visit, we quickly became regulars. The restaurant is clean and quaint, with a good atmosphere that makes it perfect for casual dining or a quiet meal out. Having tried many tofu spots over the years, I can say this one stands out. Their tofu soup are consistently flavorful and arrive at the table bubbling hot--exactly how food should be. One standout combo is their tofu and bibimbap, which pairs perfectly, a lot of food for many but a must-try. The side dish lack in comparison to traditional tofu houses, they serve only four kinds. But its still good, just limited options. Wish they had the kimchi cucumbers as one of the side dish, that would be the bomb. Service has been excellent every time we've visited. Staff are attentive, friendly, and quick to accommodate. Our experience has always been welcoming. This restaurant has become a staple for our tofu craves. read more

Finally a Korean restaurant in Anaheim Hills area. Staff was super friendly and the food was really good. A good variety of banchan, smaller side dishes that get served as appetizers, and a solid menu with a variety of popular dishes. No need to go down to Irvine or Buena Parkfor some good Korean food. If you're from Anaheim Hills area and never tried Korean food, start with the Bulgogi or Kalbi short ribs. If you're feeling extra celebratory get the Braised Beef! Chicken pancake was also a pleasant surprise - not your typical Korean pancake. read more

Food was decent and parking was easy. I've had better authentic Korean food but price point here is a little cheaper than other places.. Bulgogi bibamp was okay... there was no flavor since it didn't come with sauce so I had to ask for the chili sauce bottle to pour in. Tofu soup was good though. I chose my spice level and toppings for the tofu soup and it comes with egg. Tofu soup was not hot enough to help cook my egg though. I basically ate raw egg. Service was pretty bad, unfortunately. The owner should hire two waiters for the whole restaurant (for dinner time). It wasn't super crowded or anything...it's a small place but 80% full. There was only one waiter and he was VERY anxious and stressed out. Waiting for our menu and placing our order took awhile. Everything was done out of order for all the tables and we had to request for water after we had our food out. The table next to us finished her food and mentioned to the waiter that she didn't receive any sides (after she saw ours and pointed to them). Ambience was okay. Place looked clean. Small-ish inside. They blocked part of the restaurant because the ceiling was being fixed. read more

There are no other Korean restaurants in the neighborhood, so I'm very excited to have this cuisine available nearby!! The banchan consisted of four dishes which were delicious. I have been to MANY Korean places and this one takes the cake. The spicy chicken was one of the best Korean chickens I've had in my lifetime. The prices are incredible and super affordable for two college students. My boyfriend and I got one dish and it was enough to fill us up for the whole day. I was so worried that this was going to be just another Teriyaki shop calling itself Korean but my worries have been lifted! Finally an authentic Korean restaurant in AH! As soon as I tasted their banchan I felt happy and relieved as this is the first test of if a Korean restaurant is good or not. Our group had two different Soondubu combo with Galbi and bulgogi. HOORAY for a fabulous family owned authentic Korean restaurant finally landing in Anaheim Hills! Born and raised in this community and after 33 years we no longer have to travel 30 min to get good korean food. Service and food were great! Spicy pork albap was super tasty and the hubby's LA galbi tofu soup combo was flavorful and hit the spot. The fried dumplings were crispy and the dipping sauces were very yummy! I went on their soft opening weekend and had a great experience! Clean restaurant with friendly staff, and food was delicious. I tried their spicy tofu soup and pan fried pork, and they were both very good. I knew that I will like their food before my order came out because the side dishes (banchan) were on point Of course, as it always is with a newly opened restaurant, it took a while for them to prepare the food but it was well worth the wait and they will get in the full swing of it soon. I'm so excited to have a good Korean restaurant in Anaheim Hills! I look forward to many more meals at Masito. read more

Visited this new Korean restaurant with my family and was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience! We were seated immediately, which set a positive tone for the evening. We ordered the tofu soup ( soon dubu) and bulgogi bibimbap - both were outstanding. The banchan (side dishes) deserves special mention - fresh, flavorful, and generous portions. Our server was attentive throughout the meal, checking on us regularly without being intrusive. The quality of everything we tried was excellent.
