We were in Ft. Collins for my niece's wedding and so 10 of us showed up at Mash Lab for an early dinner prior to the family get together that evening. The hostess was gracious in seating our group at 2 tables close together and the waitress was amazing! She was attentive and even split checks for us without blinking an eye. My husband and I had the margaritas which were a bit sweet, but still very tasty. Most of our family group enjoyed their drinks and meal. My husband and I shared the smashburger and the homemade pickles were a treat. The roast beef sandwich and roasted vegetable salad got rave reviews as well. The couple who ordered the meatball sandwich did not think it was particularly good but I couldn't get many details from them about why. The burnt end cauliflower was tasty and had a great bit of spice - just a little too smoky to fully enjoy the cauliflower taste for me. I would definitely go back here if I were in the area again. They had great indoor and outdoor seating. The only difficult part was getting my mother-in-law who has a walker up the curb to the front door as the "ramp" was so far away. read more

Very mediocre service at best. Took 15 minutes or so before our order was taken. Food was average to above average. The pulled pork sandwich was lukewarm but tasted pretty good. The sMASH Burger was pretty good, no complaints and the blackened chicken pita wrap was bland (didn't see any blackened seasoning on the chicken whatsoever... could have been just grilled chicken by mistake... would have asked our waitress but never checked back with us). We had two Pub Pass books and ordered two beers (we showed the books at the time and she said she would take them off later) We also ordered an appetizer and a main course along with two more beers. When we tried to pay our waitress said they could only accept only one Pub Pass. We told her that was wrong. When she came back she said she competed the second and our bill was $66. She then gave me the bill and it was $76 and asked for a 20% - 30% tip. I asked why is the bill $76 when you said $66. She said tip was included. Then why are you still asking for 20% -30% more. No answer. Will never go back again nor will I recommend this establishment. read more

First of all, I want to say we are regulars and come here often recommend this place to our customers since we have a business right near by. We sat there for 30 minutes watching other tables, who came in after us be served their drinks and food. No one came to take our order. I'm not sure who is managing today, but when I called to let them know we left, he was very dismissive and could care less. The food is always great, but recently the staff is awful. Relaxed setting with welcoming, attentive service and good solid selection of beers and first rate food. When we arrived and got out of the car we were immediately hit by hunger inducing wood smoke smells...literally the oversized smoker is in the parking lot belching loads of great intoxicating BBQ smoke/smells. Wide selection of beers to choose from; IPAs, Sours, Wheats, etc--something for everyone. I enjoyed the Cucumber Common, very light and refreshing with distinctive cucumber notes on the backside. Wife had the Cashmere Mandarina, a hazy with wonderful fresh citrus notes. Food was good too. The smoked chicken salad on fresh greens was perfect mid-day meal. Remember my comment about the smoker as we arrived proof of skill is reflected in the smoked chicken salad topping the greens...generous portion with chunky chicken, light dressing as binder with nuts, celery etc. My daughter liked the roast beef sandwich and my wife tried the grilled/roasted Brussels sprouts with almonds and balsamic glaze (a real winning choice), was listed as a small plate appetizer but was perfect portion for a quick lunch. We enjoyed our lunch and drinks and will be back, planning to take some 4-packs of fresh beer back home. From our table we could watch the brew crew at work and wonder what they would be turning out on tap next. Fun, relaxed place. read more

I went here back in November after moving to the Windsor-Loveland area for work. I tried their version of a Ruben and sampled several of the beers they make. The industrial type of environment is interesting, but it comes with the brewing process so it's very different from the normal restaurant. They have a nice outdoor seating area but was a bit too cold then even with the big gas heaters. I'll definitely will be looking forward to going back after trying some of the other locals joints. read more

Had an wonderful experience here yesterday. They built a wonderful outdoor seating area and with a cool breeze it was a perfect evening. Although several beers were unavailable, they had plenty to enjoy. I started with a fog lamp an NE hazy IPA. It drank really well. Finished with a porter, that was very nice The music was not my favorite, but I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe. The food truck was out of meat...but as I'm vegan, that was really ok. Had a nice vegan burrito...maybe could have used a few veggies, but was pretty good. Highly recommended. read more

Only in town for my nephew's college graduation from UNC. Not familiar with the area but we came across this brewery and restaurant. A few of us came one day and we enjoyed it so much that we brought the whole family along the next day. Service was amazing. They seated and served our party of 17 without prior notice to prepare. Our server was also the bartender but she did a great job managing our table and the bar area. None of us were super hungry so we went with their small plates and some drinks. The crispy sprouts were amazing. The honey sriracha wings were delicious and I'm told the slider flight, crispy green beans, and the chicken were a fave as well. Oh the deviled eggs were so good! So many beer options to choose from. The Japanese rice lager was my fave. The restaurant had indoor/outdoor dining and they had corn hole outside also. Great spot for beer and food! I had Mash Lab beer a while ago, before this expansion happened and it was good. I was excited to come back and was pleasantly surprised to find a full restaurant! We had to wait about 15 min to be seated, but it was a Friday night, so that's not bad. The parking is mostly street parking if it's busy because they have a small parking lot. The space inside is really nice, with a second story and a nice bar area. The staff was super friendly from the time we walked in until we left. I ordered the pretzel bites and they were really tasty! The sandwiches we ordered came out hot and tasty with crispy fries. Most importantly, the beer was really good! I ordered a flight since it had been a while since last visit. They have a great selection of different styles and I'm looking forward to coming back to try more. My wife likes sours and they didn't have very many for her, but she found something she enjoyed. The brewery taproom that I visited before is still next door, but if you want good food with your beer, this is the spot! read more

Our first visit to this place and we really enjoyed it! Because we already had dinner plans and we were just needing a little something to hold us over, we opted for some small plates: slider flight (my favorite was the smoked chicken salad), chicken wings, deviled eggs, crispy Brussels sprouts and queso. None of it disappointed. Hubby really liked the selection of beers and says he would recommend Pinstripe Pilsner and Accelerator. Kids enjoyed the outdoor space and corn hole games. Not sure this is the experience you want for your potential customers who walked out without being seated. Will be back up here in a couple of months for a conference we are hosting. I live fairly close to this establishment and a few of my friends rave about it. I however, apparently have either really bad timing or really bad luck. For the third time now, this most recent experience at 1Pm today (Sunday), included - have been no different. We arrive ( 5 of us), there is plenty of seating both indoors and outsides and are told there is a 30-45 minute wait. When asked why, we are told that the kitchen can't handle the stress. Fair enough - your kitchen staff hasn't been up to the task for more than a year now and you know it, so you appropriately don't want to have the kitchen crash and anger your patrons. Makes perfect sense actually. However, here is where you fail. We asked if we could be seated and just grab a few drinks and wait until the kitchen was ready. We won't pester, we appreciate the honesty, but you then refused to seat us. I'm basically done trying. We went elsewhere (the golf course) and even though they were slammed we were greeted, immediately seated, and tended too. That's all I wanted. So although the few friends whom actually experienced dining with you (I've had several tell me my experience with you isn't unique) have said it is a good place to eat, I'll likely ever know as I can't seem to get past your 16 old hostesses who really don't care if you get business or not. Strike - 3, you're out! (2 stars because of absolute lack of service and even making an attempt to accommodate patrons). read more

The new Mash Lab is a beautiful spot and the beers are still just as great as they were before. However, service has gone way down hill and I'm not impressed with the food. My last visit was especially disappointing...went to sit at the bar but it was filthy and looked like it hadn't been wiped down all day! Very concerning considering the environment we are currently in. Took forever to get service once I did find a place to sit. Only had one beer & the Mac & Cheese mainly because after I placed my order I never saw my server again. Had to get up and ask someone just to pay my tab & leave. I was looking for a beer and something to eat and this was close by. I was very pleased when I walked into a meticulously clean and bright atmosphere. I sat at the bar and asked about what are the beers they're most proud of, and took a half pour of one. They had a large selection so there was something for everyone. The food menu had limited choices for vegetarians, but they had a couple choices and they could be made as a hot sandwich or a salad. I was tempted to get the grilled cheese sandwich but was afraid the calories would not treat me well, so I went for the hot veggie sandwich and added potato fries (okay, let's stop talking calories now, please). I snapped a pic after eating half the plate of food (sorry). There was so much cheese, I kinda felt like I didn't miss out by NOT ordering the grilled cheese! I wasn't disappointed. It was delicious. Competitively priced, and a friendly staff. Able to accommodate large groups too. Yes, the beer was very good and I like that they have a large selection, which they brew, of course. The food was pretty good, beer was great as well. My issue was the overall attitude, the tall blonde server was a bit rude as we walked in said "we'll seat you in about 5 minutes." There were multiple open tables, so we just went to the bar so we didn't hVe to wait 5 minutes to sit down. She very well could have said sorry we're a little busy but we'll seat you as quickly as possible. Much better than a stink face 5 minutes. I was really excited to give Mash Lab a try but... They specialize in small batches and it looks like they are fairly creative in ingredients and what they brew but I left just not feeling too impressed. The beer that really caught my eye was the Cucumber Serrano Blonde. To me it sounded very exciting and obviously very experimental but it just didn't quite make the delivery for me. I have had cucumber in beer before and liked it and I have had plenty of pepper beers and I almost always enjoy those. This beer though wasn't very spicy or peppery tasting. Both flavors for these ingredients seemed muted... maybe in conflict with each other... I'm not too sure. In the end I just thought my beer was fair. I've certainly had a lot worse but I've also had much better too. I see that Mash Lab gets quite a bit of praise from other reviewers so perhaps I just made the wrong choice... all the praise that I'm seeing is involving their other beers rather than the one I picked. And perhaps the Cucumber Serrano Blonde's recipe needs a bit more tweeking before it truly comes into it's own. I have never seen a cucumber AND pepper beer before so perhaps making a good balance between the two ingredients in a beer is easier said than done. Other than that the location and atmosphere is cool. The wait staff were friendly and easy to deal with... no complaints there at all. read more
