MASFAJITAS, Georgetown Sharing my/our experiences at MasFajitas in Georgetown. In Georgetown, MasFajitas has been our Go TO for Mexican food and great bar service and drinks ever since they opened up on Williams drive. The food choices and quality has not ever disappointed us. Service has always been inviting and welcoming with some of the staff even referring to us and many others as "family" when greeting their patrons.   There are many familiar faces who have waited on us over the years and who stand out due to their consideration, even if nothing more than their acknowledging smile (Amanda, Jaio, Caio, & Amaury). On a very busy Saturday back during the business of the holidays, we took our out of town guests along with my elderly parents (shh....don't tell my mom that I wrote that) out to dinner at MasFajitas. Even though the restaurant was alive and bustling, we were enjoying our time together.  Unfortunately by the end of our experience we were no longer happy.  The matter was brought to the attention of the onsite manager prior to our leaving the restaurant that evening. After some time went by and I received a "welcome back" email.  Which I might add is quite clever and a great marketing tool for MasFajitas because this email reminded and prompted me to reach out by replying requesting to share our experience with the owner/general manager.  Prior to this, we were frequenting MasFajitas at least once a month and saddened that we were no longer doing so due to the last experience (the only time we have had a not so good ending there). After I sent the email requesting that they reach out to learn more about our experience and choosing to stay away; we received a phone call from the owner, the general manager, and the manager of the Georgetown Masfajitas location each being very interested in learning about what took place and of how it was handled.  Jonny, the Georgetown manager, reached out to us on his day off and sincerely showed an interest and patiently listened to all of the details and the importance of that dinner shared at the restaurant that evening.  I must point out that this was almost 6 weeks after the concern arose and based on Jonny's response the immediacy and concern for us, our family, and his restaurant both the business and his crew were all very much relevant and important to him.  Jonny went above and beyond and invited us to come back to the restaurant.  Knowing that things can and do happen, we agreed to return. Jonny made sure that he was at the restaurant when we came.  Once again Mas Faijitas was jumping on a late Friday evening (after we got off from work).  Amaury, a warm familiar face and kind person, was our waiter. As always, Amaury went out of his way to make sure that we did not want for anything and was a step ahead of caring for the table and the 4 of us.  Jonny came to the table multiple times throughout our visit from the beginning to the end to make sure that we were comfortable, enjoying our food, and prior to us leaving.  Jonny was abundantly generous to us and did way more than we ever expected in order to make sure that we had the best time possible.   The food, obviously as I already wrote, MasFajitas is the one of the few places I go to to eat Mexican food even prior to this event above.   The Food has always been good...... this time, it was EXCEPTIONAL!  I took a few photos although I took them after devouring a few bites. The chicken avocado enchiladas are flavorful and so good!  Both of my parents had the grilled tilapia (cancun tilapia and shrimp) and ceviche.  Since my parents have lived in Spain and Kauai their review has some merit; and they "Loved" it and said they would come back and have it again!  This is huge since the original concern with the experience that I refer to above centered around my mother (love you Mom!). My spouse and I are thrilled that our Mom is happy again and will return to MasFajitas with and without us in the future! HUGE KUDOS goes out to MASFAJITAS!   Each and everyone of them went out of our way to make our experience all the way around the Best that it could be! THANK YOU! Customer service is still Alive and Well!  MasFajitas staff from the buser, waiters, cooks, management, and owner have demonstrated this. It is refreshing to know, especially these days when customer service is lacking all around us, that MasFajitas really does care for their customers and understands the importance of this. SEE ALL OF YOU at MASFAJITAS! With Much Thanks & a Smile,  Carmela Stearns Georgetown read more

10/29/20 1st visit to MasFajitas. New resident to Georgetown. We've assed this restaurant several times and the parking lot is always full. We decided tonight was the night to find out why ? So my wife and I decided to brave any wait time and try it. We had a wonderful time. ( no wait at all ) Upon entering, we received a warm greeting from Fernando. He was very engaging. Next we had the pleasure of meeting our waiter named Eric. We received excellent service from our waiter, We experienced Great food and drink. All and all we had a memorable night. We will definitely be visiting this establishment on a reoccurring basis. Don't shy away because of the crowded parking lot, step in and let Fernando reassure you that you will have a Great experience!! read more

I do not recommend you this restaurant waited 1 hour for my food and when I get my food it was all cold i told them and they bring it back cold again never again will I go there read more

We love their fajitas, but everything we've tried is really good. We just wish we lived closer to them.

We ordered lunch for pick up. I get home and find out my wife's order is entirely wrong. Their phone number goes straight to VM, and the website has no email address. It's frustrating to pay for a specific meal and not receive what you ordered. read more

Last week had dinner here. Service was was friendly and prompt. Ray was our server he was outstanding. Hope you can recognize Ray for the work he does for your establishment. read more

At first I was concerned this wouldn't be a pleasant meal because I was ignored for about 15 mins when the couple who walked in with me already had drinks from the bar. But they made it up to me. Server was great and food was delicious! They gave me a discount at the end because of the beginning but they didn't have to. So I appreciate them making the wrong and turning it into a good experience. read more

From the moment we were greeted at the door, we knew we had come to the right place for our Friday night dinner! Every person we encountered was happy, even if you couldn't see their smiles due to them wearing masks (thanks Covid...). Our waiter, Jader, was excellent! Our food and drinks matched the service... AWESOME! We will definitely return and would suggest this place to anyone looking for a great night out with delicious food, friendly service, and very positive atmosphere. read more

Since moving from LA husband and I had been on the search for decent Mexican food, and I say "decent because it would be unrealistic to hold Texas to the same standards as the amazing Mexican food in LA. So after driving by masfajitas a few times we caved in and what a lovely surprise that was! My husband ordered a burrito which came out just as he was hoping I ordered a ceviche tostada which was well seasoned and some asada tacos which were flavorful ! Our waitress Gaby was also a big part of our amazing experience, she was so polite and insightful regarding the flavors we were looking for. Can't wait to go back!. Oh and the husband had 2 giant beers for amazing happy hour prices! read more

Best crema enchiladas in Georgetown, Texas! Fast service, better than generous bag of really thin chips included, too! I'll be back often.

Jason was our server tonight and he provided outstanding service. This was the first time we have been to Mas Fajitas in a long time. My wife had the road kill and I had the Cowboy fajitas. We had Drinks and they were tasty and strong. We eat at all the Mexican food restaurants in Georgetown and this one is top notch. Pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend. read more

MasFajitas Mexican Restaurant - Cowboy fajitas - Tex-Mex Near Me - Georgetown, Texas

I don't know what the rave is about its alright its not the worst mexican food I've ever tasted, buts it not the best i asked for home made tortillas and they brought me store bought flour tortillas. P.S you can taste the difference. The enchiladas i am definitely avoiding next time. (Disclaimer- this is my opinion of the restaurant and should not sway your choice to eat here. I personally am not a fan of the dish i had today and the the store bought flour tortillas.) I also do not care about how much owner of this business makes, but if he makes that much he should train his staff on how to make home made tortilla like i said it is my opinion and i don't need the owner telling me how to describe my experience there or my dish that i got. read more

We already love this place. It's one of our go to places and we never have anything bad to say. Tonight was a busy and difficult night for them. The weather is icy and cold which is why a lot of the staff didn't make it...Leaving only 2 servers and I'm not sure who or how many in the kitchen. Even still our waiter Weston was on top of it. He kept our drinks topped off and our order was just right. I don't know the cooks name or I would give him/her a shout out too. He/she is awesome. Food is hot and perfect. Love love this place! read more

First I would like to say the food is amazing . The wait staff has alot to be desired... Our waitress Amanda was very snooty and very unattended. We had to wait forever for drinks and then on refills. When we asked for extra napkins and silverware, she acted as if we were putting her out. Not sure that we will return due to this. Which is a shame because we love the food. read more

I have been in Texas 15 years and have not found many with better food! Everything we eat here is excellent and we love to walk in and see Amanda bartending as she makes the best margarita in town! read more

We've eaten at MasFajitas numerous times. The last time may indeed be the last. The food was as expected, no complaints there. However the margaritas were significantly lacking in that key ingredient...tequila! I am a light drinker, so one large is about all I can do. I didn't have even the slightest buzz. Everyone else commented on the same thing, that there was very little alcohol in them. And they charge $12 for each large one. Nope. read more

My family loves MasFajitas! Great food. Great service. We all love everything that we tried so far. I highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican food. read more

Our first time at Masfajitas, we were very pleased. The food was excellent and Jason was just as good. We will be back, read more

Four of us have been going to Mas Fajitas since it opened several years ago. The prices have gone up up up and the food and service has gone way Down. The tostados have not been fresh the last 3 times we have been there. The waiter completely got my order wrong the last time we were there(last week). We will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

Had a great experience with my family this evening at MasFajitas. It has always been decent food, but had not been a stand-out. It appears to be under new management...we were visited by the manager, which we always appreciate. Our server Jason was nothing short of outstanding, and made it a very good experience. My wife is a vegetarian, and the vegetables were very fresh and well presented. MasFajitas has made a big step up! We look forward to returning in the future! read more

This is a great Mexican restaurant in the area!! Their margaritas and other drinks are strong, delish and are at really good prices. I started with a margarita on the rocks and finished it way quicker than I normally would just because it was that good! The chips and salsa are good. The salsa is really tasty but we did add a little salt to our chips. I ordered the fried avocado with chicken and LOVED it. It was a perfect sized and green avocado with delicious flavor and filled to the brim with chicken and cheese. The batter was good but a little thick for me. My boyfriend ordered the enchiladas and they were average enchiladas!! I would definitely visit if you're in Georgetown and want some Mexican food or a good margarita. Also, don't forget to check in when you're here!! They have a deal when you check in, you get four free sopapillas! read more

Horrible food. Service was ok, the waitress was extremely busy but apologized after mixing up our order.

Food was ok, margaritas were ok, but we probably won't be back because this place needs some thorough cleaning.

2nd time there. Gave it a chance before giving a review. First I had the fajita chicken. That turned out very limp, best way to put it. Undercooked vegetables and chicken wasn't grilled Second time I got bad service. Plus bad food again. This time it was the Mexican salad it was called. The ranch sauce was very bland and tart. The tortilla bowl was saturated with grease so I couldn't even eat it. The insides with chicken was very watery. So each is to own. I don't recommend this location. Plenty of better spots out there. read more

Mad Fajitas is always been good, but I got a pick up order today, the staff was funny entertaining and very conscientious and customer oriented. Exactly the kind of business that thrives in Georgetown! read more

Not awful. Not great. Very middling experience. Positives - Kids menu was price right. Overall prices were fair. Good menu selection. Cons - Tortilla soup was much greasier than your traditional broth based soup. Nominal amount of chicken, even when you specially request its inclusion. Salsa was ok, not great. Salsa was almost sweet with very little spiciness to it. Ordered Diet Coke....was given Coke Zero (which is not the same drink). So maybe service could be better. There are better places in town. But on the bight side, you will not have a horrible experience here. read more

Hadn't been here since it was La Plays a few years back, came in town and went to the remake version MasFajitas. The salsa was fresh and great, even had a little kick which is hard to find for a pepperhead like myself. The draft beer was good and clean, the service was top notch and the manger even came by to check on us. If you are looking a for a good TexMex place, go here, it's worth a try for sure! read more

First of all we are in Texas so at least have a hostess that not only speaks English but understands English,we have really tried to like this place we went in tonight for taco Tuesday, the young lady so called hostess, could not understand English and could not speak it very well either this is not the first time this has happened and we have complained in the past also they have done some remodeling but they need to concentrate on cleanliness the tables are never clean and the floor is always dirty not very enticing when you're there to eat a meal so needless to say after trying to interpret to the young lady at the front, we finally gave up and went across the street to Mariachis De Jalisco what a pleasant surprise a friendly hostess that spoke English with a smile on her face ready to escort us to our clean table shortly after that, our waitress arrived to take our drink order and promptly return to take our food order. I will give the food at 10 out of 10 and the service a 10 out of 10 I want to give the restaurant a 10 out of 10 for professionalism and cleanliness. Our journey has ended. We found our new Mexican restaurant. read more

We're new to the area and felt like having some Mexican. So we searched Yelp and found many options including this...place. When we walked in the hostess ignored us completely. After about 5 mins a waIter noticed us and asked if we were being helped. We said no and he apologized several times. He then made the hostess de eat us immediately and he once again apologized. This is where they got any stars! We sat at a table and ordered. The chips and salsa were good. We both ordered the steak ranchero. What came was not steak. It was boiled fajita beef that was flavored with McCormick seasoning! There was an unusual amount of "juice" on the plate so almost everything was swimming. We also got a side of guacamole. It got weirder here. I've never had guac with lettuce in it.....still not sure what the hell that was all about! To be honest, I'm not sure how Mas Fajitas didn't make a Mas Casualty of my underwear! read more

MasFajitas is still a solid four star in my opinion. It's clean and doesn't smell like dirty mop water as I walk in the door like a few other places around town. The salsa is excellent. The chips can hit and miss. They are good and crispy at times and then some will be hard. I haven't figured out what's going on there yet. But for the most part they are good. The queso is a simple yellow cheese queso and it is really good quality. Not the cheap stuff that tastes like it from a jar and heated up in the microwave. They had dollar tacos last night, al la cart. Regular hard shell tacos with beef or shredded chicken are a dollar. If you order a soft taco or fajita meat then the price goes up $.75 or a $1 respectively. I ordered one crunchy beef and one soft chicken. Both were absolutely fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised. The ingredients are very fresh and have excellent flavor. My companions both ordered the beef tamale dinner. Not complaints from them. They loved it. Our only complaint for MasFajitas were the sopapillas. They were tiny and over cooked. We had to use our steak knives to cut them. Chewing them took some serious energy! Lol. So I stopped after one bite. Maybe it was just an off night for sopapillas? Not sure but the rest of the meal was fantastic. The atmosphere was fun, not too loud, not too quiet. It was a fun time. Service was good, polite and friendly. Good job MasFajitas! read more

Fun atmosphere and solid margaritas! I live for their chimichanga; it's the best I've had anywhere. When I don't order the chimichanga (with queso on it), I get the fried avocado tacos or the chicken avocado enchiladas with sour cream sauce. The service is always great and I appreciate that they never play the news at the bar. It's nice to take a mental break and get away from all that while out for a meal! read more

The service was wonderful! I highly recommend Martha as your server!! She is always very attentive! She is so sweet! She even recommended us a margarita Togo! Thank y'all masfajitas and Mrs. Martha! Y'all did great and this is our go to weekend spot! read more

I have absolutely nothing to complain about here. Customer service is outstanding and the food was SO good. Definitely coming back for more.

Food was amazing, very flavorful and hot. The waiter was jeff and he was helpful and quick didn't feel rushed and we didnt have to ask for refills or anything. Everything was on point. Will definitely be returning read more

Chips and salsa were a big hit and we bought a jar of salsa to take home. All the food was wonderful. They have many gluten free options which I was very thankful for. And our very picky teen who had the grilled tilapia and rice cleaned his plate. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely will be back. read more

Steak fajitas for two. Enough food for 3 or 4. Deliciously seasoned tender steak, sautéed onions and bell peppers. Fantastic beans with bacon (forgot the name). Very good guacamole and pico de Gallo. Great tortillas. (Chips and spicy salsa arrive at seating). Good for families. No problem seating my dad who uses a walker. Plenty of parking but wish there were 4 handicap spaces. Reservations not necessary. Food arrives quickly and hot. Great unsweetened iced tea. Very clean. Wonderful waiter. My only negative - the out dated decor which is why I think it's better for groups or people with kids; not a date restaurant. Wish there was an order out menu. read more

We found this place upon moving to the area 3 months ago. It's now our go-to for Mexican Food. The food is pretty good, prep time lacks some times, but we like having it nearby. read more

Our 1st time to this restaurant and will definitely not be out last. The decor and seating arrangements were great. Not the typical crowded seating. Enough room between tables to be comfortable visiting with our party. The staff was friendly, smiling and welcoming. Our server, Lyndon, was very attentive without being invasive. Orders were taken when we were ready without rushing us and food was delivered quickly and quality of orders was as ordered. Our server, Lyndon was professional and very considerate of our needs Will definitely make this restaurant at the top of our list when we eat out. Congratulations on being an above average restaurant. read more

This place has the best fajitas! I always get their Spicy Cowboy fajitas which is a mix of chicken, steak, and sausage with spicy additions. Their chips and salsa are excellent. We always have to get our own salsas or we fight over it. The service is excellent. We go every Monday and sometimes a second time in the week. read more

I called in a to go order, and asked about the chicken tortilla soup. I asked specifically if it's the chicken broth-y soup, or the tomato based soup. I even explained I have a head cold and want/need the chicken broth. I was told it's the chicken broth type. WRONG!!! what I was given was the blandest soup I've ever had in my life from a Mexican diner. Tomato based with zucchini, carrots, celery, a piece of green pepper and onion in it. What is zucchini doing in tortilla soup? An excessive amount of zucchini too. They added chicken for an extra dollar and what I got were two very small pieces of dark meat. The soup filled one cereal bowl and came in a styrofoam drink cup for $6.99. This soup has no zing in it - none whatsoever. Pretty disappointing. I was hoping for the 'this'll cure ya" chicken soup. At the very least, I was hoping for what I was told it was. read more
