There's several kiosks in the food court, but we usually go to the main one. Wait in line, tell them your order, pay, and they hand you a beeper/pager to tell you when the food is ready. By the end of your dining experience, the beeping noise will be engrained in your head, since you will hear the beep-beep-beep, beep-beep-beep from everyone else's pager. The main kiosk we go to, have over 30 items on their menu, but we gravitate usually to the same items, as they are consistently good. We get the ox-knee soup, soft tofu soup, and stir-fry squid. They all come piping-hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. . Grab some hot or cold water from the dispenser, and some cocktail napkins, and you're all set.

Not very good at customer service told me to buy raw fish downstairs. That's not how ordering sushi - rice works. If I ask no order to omit the rice. You omit it or lose the order. They just lost some business. I won't be back here either. The atmosphere is noisy and feels like a public transit station. Hell the elevator even smells like a bus station elevator! Gross!!! I do like the grocery store but that's about all this place is useful for. Skip the food court everyone raves about. It's not that great. It's just an average chain restaurant quality product. You can get better at a real restaurant for the same prices without the horrid racket of the grocery store. This place is legit louder than being in an Equinix server cage room!!! (See prior review for grocery store. Grocery here is 10/10. This review covers only the so called dining court. Two restaurants owned by the same people does not make a dining court. It's a monopoly in the dining court!)

The store was immaculate and well-stocked. They offered several brands of the item I was looking for. I couldn't leave the store without checking out their bakery department and treated myself a mile-high chocolate cake. It was the highlight of the visit. The cake was heavenly. The store shares an enormous parking lot with other businesses. I will definitely spend more time in the store on my next visit to see what else I can find.

This store is also cheaper than H-Mart for a lot of stuff as well if you're familiar with that grocery store. An array of different options from grocery store, food court and mini shops. You can find really good deals here on fruits and veggies. Plenty of fresh food options including homemade frozen dumplings that looked delicious! Plenty of kimchi and rice cakes in the frozen section as well. They also have massage chairs to use, a hair salon (Park Jun) and different tchotchkes to choose from as well as teas, ornaments, and a plethora of K-pop items to choose from. Really loved the vibe, the authenticity and the overall affordability. We scored a decent meal for 30.00 each: brisket pho & spring rolls as well as Dan Dan noodles and dumplings in chili oil. The spring rolls and Dan Dan noodles were my favorite ! 10/10 experience overall!

Mark Kurlansky It is my mission while I am residing in the northwest Chicago suburbs to submerse myself in the cultural treasure trove around me and experience as much as I can, as fast as I can. Finding the best and most authentic international groceries (and conversing with the owners and patrons inside) is one of the best means to do this, I have found. On my way to Assi (a Korean grocery), I saw the Zander Import Groceries sign with the curious winged lion. "Another time," I thought. But, it ate at me while I was shopping at Assi. So, I read a few Yelp reviews in the parking lot and decided to endure the six o'clock traffic on Milwaukee Ave and drive back there. The reviews said bread and pickles, try the bread and pickles. That was the mission. I believe it not chance that Zander was grinding fresh Turkish Coffee beans for another customer as I walked in. The smell was inviting and immediately perked me up. Now I know I'll come back when I have coffee drinking guests to entertain. There are plenty of good Indian, Pakistani, and Persian stores within a few miles of Zander Import Groceries, but Zander earns his relevance due to certain specific Assyrian goods he offers. The breads are acquired from bakeries in Skokie and Chicago, and the quality is good. The lavash was particularly nice, but the heavily floured crust left me wanting some of that coffee to wash it down. The Assyrian bread had a great bite and reminded me of a doughnut without sugar. (Does that make sense?) A kind gentleman patron directed me to a spicy homemade pickle of cabbage, carrot, and spices. I must say, it was delicious and I hope my husband loves it as much as I do. Zander also had some imported pickles and olives which looked fascinating. There were other staples, too, as you can see from my photos. This shop is definitely needed and earns its place with some unique offerings. I enjoyed my pickles and bread, and will have what is left of them to accompany an eggplant dish I am making tomorrow night. Brittney Tun Food Writer and Culinary Enthusiast
