Wife and I had a quick bite while we were in the area, I got the chicken curry spicy and my wife got the chicken tikka masala and we both loved our food. We got the Garlic Naan as well and it was super fluffy and had just the perfect bite to it. I told the lady who worked there that it was just as good as some of my coworkers cooking who are from Punjab and she was so happy to know that the food being served was enjoyed and was compared to authentic Indian dishes. Well I've found my new favorite genuine restaurant in Sonoma County. After driving by here many times, we decided to head there for dinner. Immediately entering the restaurant we were greeted with such friendliness and hospitality! We both already knew what we wanted and were happy that we were offered mild, medium, spicy or extra spicy. I went with the spicy chicken vindaloo, and my husband had the extra spicy chicken tikka masala, a mango lassi and garlic naan. Most Indian restaurants we've gone to have been mostly Himalayan or Nepalese/Indian, so we never get the spice we're looking for. But LOOK NO FURTHER, THE SPICE IS HERE!! not only is just the overall flavor absolutely delicious, but the heat that these meals packed were the perfect punch! The main disappointment was the chicken tikka masala, which tasted exactly like it was made with Campbell's tomato soup. Alas. Docking a star for laziness. Having come from picking up a friend from the airport we were looking forward to trying it out as we both appreciate authentically prepared ethnic foods. Found their menu well designed which made it easier to quickly see the offerings. Pleased to see the variety of protein options including vegan and gluten free. As they just opened the interior is basic with outdoor seating with counter ordering. The staff person shared her family has operated several Indian restaurants for many years in Bay Area. We ordered their chicken Masala dish and veggie sampler dish. Both had been served hot and freshly made with the chicken being moist and flavorful. Came in for lunch and ordered the masala assorted snack. The menu stated it had several snacks from the appetizer section including the lamb kabab. When the dish came out there was no lamb. I asked the lady if the lamb would be coming out and she went to the kitchen. When she returned, she told me there was no lamb. Wish she had told me before I ordered. For the price and convenience, a very solid Indian restaurant by North Bay standards. I got the lamb vindaloo, garlic naan and an order of samosa - spicy, on the vindaloo. When they say spicy, they mean it. "Spicy" here is what most places would call Extra Spicy, which for me was good but mouth-destroying. If you are not accustomed to SE Asian cooking, go for medium or mild, trust me, and even if you do like spicy food I'd still have some dairy handy. This place is considered the fast food of Indian Cuisine. It is not very good, the sauce is too tomato like and it is if they are using tomato soup as the base. If you order online, make sure you do not arrive one minute early or you will get a hard stare from the cashier. They will remind you of the online order pickup time, you will not get it early and most of the time they make you wait an additional 5 or so minutes. The clencher for me is that they charge you a fee if you pay by credit card, what restaurant charges a fee to use a Credit card?? The food is okay, nothing great. They do not offer brown rice only white rice. You are not able to pick your spice level either, mild, spicy etc. This is why they have received the "fast food" of Indian Cuisine by me. read more
