Stumbled upon this halal Chinese cuisine, specifically Xin Jiang. We tried the signature noodles which tasted so rich in spices. The kebab was also tasted great, spicy level medium is my recommendation. While Naan Bread is quite unique with its pattern on the surface. The downside of this restaurant is the price which is ridiculous. Naan Bread costs $9, Teapot costs $7, Skewer is $13???? Service was mediocre. At the time of purchase visit the restaurant was quiet so the staffs chilling at the customers chairs. Decoration was epic though, I would admit, showcase the Xin Jiang's culture. I won't recommend the place for anyone that has problem with the price comparing the food in the area. But for anyone who is okay with the price, sure, this place offers great taste of food.

A big restaurant with unique decor. There is ample seating and very roomy between tables. Our server was friendly and helpful. I am a lamb skewers lover so I was happy with the kebabs and the cucumber salad was tasty (although my hubby thought it was quite sour). However, I expected the Naan to be more favorful. It was bland and a little dried. The House Special Handpulled noodles was too al dente for us (maybe it's supposed to be), but difficult to bite or chew. This dish also didn't come out hot... no steam. It was room temperature. The flavor was good and the beef in it was tasty.

Been trying to find a place as good as Omar's for a while and sadly I'm still looking. Service is decent, seats are small and uncomfortable, tables wobble. The food is super bland and overpriced.

We ordered uber eats delivery from this halal restaurant, everything tasted so good to my surprise. We have tried spicy boiled fish, tomato egg drop soup, sautéed chicken in garlic sauce and spicy rice noodles. We liked all dishes especially the spicy fish. The only downside was the packaging which was not good at all. Two items spilled in the bag so it was a bit of mess. Maybe next time we will just go to the actual restaurant to try more dishes.

Hidden gem in Rowland heights for some decent Xinjiang cuisine! They specialize is lamb and the lamb is so flavorful! Their eight treasure tea is also very calm and healthy. We ordered the house special hand pull noodle, lamb kebab, xiao long bao, traditional jar lamb soup, cucumber salad, and lamb leg polov. The lamv kebab, lamb leg polov and cucumber are our favorite. Inside has colorful decorations, good to bring family and friends. Service is quick and friendly! Support this small local restaurant!

(Food/Drinks) Eight Treasures Tea Lamb Leg Polov Lamb Kebabs Jar Lamb Soup House Special Hand Pulled Noodles Big Chicken Plate w/Flat Noodles Had the pleasure of trying @maskitchen.us 's Xinjiang & Northwestern Chinese cuisine! Right when you enter, you're transported into a unique ambiance with welcoming staff and gorgeous interior. They serve fresh ingredients, great quality meats & comforting flavors. They make everything fresh to order so you know it's going to be hot & ready! I recommend ordering multiple dishes to share and be prepared to eat Eight Treasures Tea: soul soothing traditional floral tea with 8 ingredients: red dates, longan, saseme seeds, goji berries, rose petals, yellow crystal sugar, rose paste and selected green tea base Lamb Leg Polov: House specialty that we slow cook the rice with lamb broth Lamb Kebabs Jar Lamb soup: our traditional soup that serves in a jar slow cooked with vegetables and spices, and lamb House Special Hand pulled noodles- No. 1 selling item on the menu, hand pulled fresh noodles made-to-order, topped with beef and veggies Big Chicken Plate with Flat noodles: Also our house specialty, Chicken, potato, vegetables and hand made flat noodles in the gravy sauce Overall our dishes were so flavorful and comforting. I recommend the Big Chicken Plate with Flat Noodles to share. I will definitely be coming back to have more. I personally loved the ambiance and it made me feel like I was in a different city. We got our food right away and the staff were super nice when guiding us through every specialty dish.

The food here is good and unique in a sense. Expect it to be spicy but obviously there are non spicy options. If you love lamb, you will enjoy eating here. I feel like to really enjoy this place you need to know how to order here. Which I don't feel like I did. So what do you need to get... ask a server who looks like they know. The server I had was super nice but she was ... too shy I guess. So I got the lamb noodles, the Bao, the cucumber salad and popcorn chicken. Okay for the two of us, that was a good amount of food... HOWEVER!!!! The popcorn chicken we could not finish. Firstly, it is spicy but a good spicy but it accumulates so beware. This is definitely a SHARING dish with AT LEAST 4 people (size small) otherwise it's TOOO MUCH! It can get overwhelming. Place is nice and clean and there is not up stairs.. don't know why I thought there was one. Give it shot and let me know! MUST GET- cucumber salad... such great value and delicious! You get a lot!

Since it was our first time there, staff provided recommendations, and we went ahead with all of them. We also ordered a side of white rice (a small bowl), and they provided a pitcher of ice water. The lady who took our order mentioned that nearly everything on the menu can have the spice level adjusted. House Special hand-pulled noodles: 5/5. Super tasty with the savory sauce, lovely chew of the handmade noodles, and textures from the beef and veggies. Noodles were quite long and difficult to transfer to our individual plates. Lamb kabob (3pc): 4/5. A bit too spicy for me, but we liked the general flavor and meatiness. Served on metal skewers. Spicy Mongolian beef: 5/5. This was a generous amount of sliced beef cooked with bell peppers and onions. Savory and delicious. Surprisingly not spicy, but I think they adjusted the heat after hearing how hesitant I was to order spicy things. Samsa (2pc): 4/5. Can't remember if it was beef or lamb filling with chopped onions, but these were salty, spicy, and peppery. The dough was not too thick, which was nice. Lamb siumai (6pc): 2/5. A little disappointed with how bland these were. But I did appreciate that they had a bit of broth in them, kinda like soup dumplings, albeit very plain ones. Eclectic ethnic decor and vibes inside this Halal Chinese restaurant with attentive staff. I was jammin' to the dancey foreign music they were playing. We were seated quickly during lunchtime, even though the parking lot was packed. It looked like you can order takeout via a kiosk at the front as well.

Food: - stir fry meat noodles: 10/10, savory bouncy noodles with a delicious meat sauce - Samsa: 9.5/10, flavorful with vinegar dipping sauce - lamb skewers: 8/10, took off two points for price, kinda pricey - lamb steamed siumai: 8.5/10, 6 dumplings total, decent sized but similar filling as samsa - yogurt: 10/10! Super milky and cheesy Service: - friendly staff - no wait time during our Saturday lunch - food all came out relatively fast Ambiance: - tall ceilings - warehouse feels

Ma's Kitchen is a modern halal Chinese restaurant located in the midst of Rowland Heights among a plethora of other East Asian businesses. Their interior is beautifully decorated with Chinese art and signs, and they have plenty of seating. Their menu is pretty expansive, but my family and I always go with our favorite dishes. I'm not exaggerating when I say their hot and sour soup is some of the best I've ever had, rich and flavorful with a hint of spice from the black pepper. Their kung pao was good too, a little light on the sauce, and their sweet and sour chicken was delicious, crispy on the outside yet still juicy on the inside. Of all the halal Chinese restaurants in SoCal, this has to be one the best. Definitely recommend you stop by if you're in the area!

Stopped by Ma's Kitchen for takeout a few weeks ago and we were all blown away. We were staying at an Airbnb nearby Ma's and some of the people we were staying with only ate Halal meat so we were looking for some Halal options besides kebabs. On Yelp, I found this place and we looked up the menu and it looked great so we placed an order over the phone. The staff over the phone were extremely helpful and kind to us. The order was ready rather quickly - I can't remember the exact timeframe, but I was impressed. Although we didn't stay inside for the meal, we did stop in to pick up the food and I was super impressed with the interior. Definitely family friendly, but with a more cool and modern design. I thought it was a very good design choice. As for the food, we got a huge assortment of food including a "small" Spicy Fried Chicken which was large enough to feed a family ( see my pic). Everything was great that we had although the two fan favorites were definitely the spicy fried chicken which seemed to be what other places call Szechuan fried chicken and my other favorite was the stir fried lamb with cumin. I think both dishes are must-gets and I highly recommend checking out this place. Although I will most likely not be anywhere near it again for many years, I promise I'll be checking it out next time I'm there!

House Specialty - Big Plate Chicken with hand-pulled flat noodle - absolutely divine! Their noodles are lovely!

Absolutely delicious food, unique menu items, fun vibes, and excellent service - our party of 5 had a wonderful experience here for our Saturday lunch meetup! Meals are served family style with generous portions. Their sauces are complex, savory and pair very well with their uniquely dense Naan bread. We tried their house special Big Plate Chicken with their hand-pulled flat noodles, the Style Steak, Dry Pot Cauliflower, Lamb Skewers, Steamed Lamb & Spices, Fried Lettuce, and their homemade Naan bread. This was way more than enough for the 5 of us - we had quite a bit of leftovers actually lol. The Big Plate Chicken is a giant, deep plate full of generous bite-sized chicken thigh pieces and veggies stewed in a slightly spicy red sauce - we added several portions of their hand-pulled flat noodles to it and I highly recommend- it's incredible and takes it over the top. Normally I don't care for chicken thighs bc of the texture but this dish was an exception- the texture was perfect. And their noodles are some of the best I've had in the area. This was my fave dish of the meal! The Style Steak was my second fave - it's a hearty plate of giant beef ribs. The meat is so tender it just falls right off the bone and it's covered in fresh herbs, spices, and finely chopped onions/peppers/onions etc - it was so flavorful. Also highly recommend this dish. We tried two of their lamb dishes - the skewers/kebabs and the hand-cut "steamed" lamb. I'm also not typically a fan of lamb, especially bc it can be quite "gamey" but their lamb dishes have won me over! The meat is tender, juciy, and had no gamey taste to it at all - just lovely! Their homemade Naan bread is not your typical Naan bread - it's quite dense and comes in thick patties but it's so perfect for dipping in their sauces - which adds another level of flavor to it - flawless combo. I recommend using it to dip in your saucy dishes bc I think it would be a bit dry by itself. Their Dry Pot Cauliflower was unique and I absolutely loved it - had a great flavor and was my third fave dish of the day. The fried lettuce dish was my least fave - the garlic sauce is wonderful but I just couldn't wrap my head around the warm, wilted lettuce - lettuce is a cold salad component to me lol. Cabbage would've been a much better veggie for this imo. The rest of our party loved it so this is just a personal preference thingy. They have indoor and outdoor seating - but the outdoor seating doesn't look like it has much shade so be aware. The vibes inside are fun and also unique - it's like Asian market meets Turkish style restaurant - very chic and entertaining- we thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely meal. Staff were beyond attentive and welcoming. They were very proactive and did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our experience. Prices are what you'd expect for the area but the portions are so generous I'd say prices are great for what you get. They're located in a large, busy plaza - there's lots of parking but it fills up. They weren't busy at all when we first arrived around 11am on a Saturday but it was chaos when we left so get there early. Our friends introduced us to this place and I'm so glad they did - bc it's marketed as a "Chinese halal" spot, I'm not sure it would've ever gotten on our radar otherwise lol. We will definitely be back for more of our faves and next time I must try their Samas!!

After you placed and paid for the order, just simplely find a table, kitchen will bring the order to you, and you can start serving yourself with 4 great selection of congees (personally 八宝粥 and 小米粥 were my favorites), plus soy milk. Neither congee nor soy was salted/sweetened, so if you prefer more flavor, definely grab a seasoning dish, and load up the sugars to your likes. They also offer à la carte steamed baos, wontons, and dumplings for dine-in or takeout. I didn't have much of an appetite today, so I skipped the buns and just ordered the congee and appetizers. My bill came out to only $5.50 plus tax, which is ridiculously cheap! For the congee, the options were Century Egg & Lean Pork, Eight Treasure, Millet, and Hulatang (Spicy Pepper Soup). I tried the Century Egg & Lean Pork congee, but the texture was a bit watery, and the flavor was somewhat bland. The Hulatang (hot pepper soup) was a little too thick and jelly-like. While the Millet congee was also on the bland side, I actually really enjoyed the texture. I skipped the Eight Treasure congee this time. Honestly, at $3 for all-you-can-eat congee, it sounds too good to be true, so I didn't have high expectations for the quality. However, I really liked the cold side dishes bar! They had all my favorites, including Liángbàn Tǔdòusī (shredded potato salad), shredded wood ear mushroom salad, and spicy cucumber salad. I will definitely go back next time to try their dumplings, wontons, and baozi.

Their HK style food is authentic and delicious. We started with the hot and sour soup and it is literally the best version we have ever had. It had a bit of the Szechuan numbing spice and was a huge portion so we took half home. We also ordered their steamed rice rolls with shrimp and chive and you can tell it was made fresh by the wrinkles in the rice paper. The last item we ordered was their chinese sausage clay pot. It was exactly what we were craving. Crispy rice all along the edges with perfectly steamed rice, chinese broccoli and crispy chinese sausage. It was hard to choose because their menu was huge and we came late so we missed the pineapple buns but definitely need to try it next time. I also saw everyone ordering the lemon iced tea and realized it's because they do free refills! That's another need to try. I felt the value was really great and we definitely are coming back. Service was also great. The waiters quickly came over when you waved them down and they checked on you just the right amount of time. The decor inside is very cute and I love the retro style. Only complaint I would have is that we sat on the left side of the restaurant and there were quite a few mosquitos on the booth so we ended up sitting on one side.

It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.

We were mainly craving their dumplings and jellyfish appetizer, which we remembered enjoying in the past. The food came out quickly and the portions were a moderate size. The dumplings and jellyfish were great as usual and definitely lived up to what we remembered. The assorted vegetables and the shredded pork with preserved vegetables soup were also both solid dishes. The only disappointment of the night was the House Chicken. It was the first dish to arrive, but it came out only lukewarm, which made us wonder if it had been sitting out rather than made fresh to order. The chicken itself was also pretty dry and almost rubbery in texture, which was unfortunate. Overall, it was still a nice visit, and I would definitely come back for the classic dumplings and jellyfish.

Our meal was served with hot green tea which was perfect. I would say the only downside was that one of the servers appeared visibly sick and kept wiping her nose on her hand or sleeve (eeeek). Thankfully, she wasn't serving us.
