The staff is so friendly and helpful that I'm not longer embarrassed by my newbie status -- Nancy and Miko are willing to take the time to explain things about yarn, and about knitting and crocheting. The prices are very fair and the knitting class I took was excellent. I don't live here year round but plan to visit the store for supplies and advice whenever I'm in town.

I am very happy I did! The Blue Purl is a beautiful shop. It looks like you're hanging out in someone's beautiful den (who just happens to LOVE knitting with TONS of yarn on shelves). Here's the brilliant part: The Blue Purl has several preset kits you can buy as gifts. Each one includes all the yarn you will need with a card or paper inside with color photos showing you what the end product will look like. This was *perfect*! I wound up finding a set and it made for a super easy purchase. One more fun thing: the shop owners will also wind the yarn for you at no additional cost. This is probably old hat for knitters but for me this was a very cool thing to witness so I had some fun too! I highly recommend The Blue Purl if you need gifts for a knitter or need supplies for yourself.

Immediately upon opening the box we could see one of the legs had been smashed. Here is my interaction with the sore: 1. Called and spoke to the store assistant who said she would have the owner return my call. 2. After waiting for two days no-one called me back so I called again. This time the store assistant put me straight through to the store owner. The owner apologised for the damaged item and said she would have it replaced. She said the guy she uses to hand paint the names onto the wood work was going to be on vacation for 2 weeks but she would have him do it immediately on return and call me when done. 3. Three weeks go by and no phone call. I call the store twice and the owner doesn't return my call. I finally get through to her and she tells me some elaborate story about how her son has moved to Hoboken (close to where I live) and she wants to personally deliver the book rack to me. She was going to call me back in the next few days to confirm the drop of time. 4. Another two weeks pass. I call again but can only speak to the shop assistant this time. I explain that we have an overseas trip planned soon and I'd like to receive the new book rack before we leave. 5. Book rack never arrived. We went overseas for Christmas and upon return I called the owner again. She actually answered the phone this time and told me she is on a call with Germany and would return my call in the next 30 minutes. One hour passes so I call her back. She is very brief with me and says she is still on the phone to Germany. I have since given up trying to get my damaged delivery replaced. Never heard back from the owner and she really couldn't care less.

Sajda has made me and my family fall in love with them!…read more 2022 ended and 2023 began with 2 news ! First, I am pregnant, and second, my brother's wedding date was set and to be held in India! I had wanted to check out Sajda boutique for some time now and thought it to be a great opportunity to check them out for getting a wedding outfit made. I visited their store and fell in love with their collection (clothes and jewelry) and their ability to listen and discuss your outfit/ look preferences and customize it for you! I was in my early first trimester when I visited them and chose the customized outfit I wanted made. I also stressed that I am pregnant and wedding will be towards the end of my 2nd trimester, when I will be much bigger. Suman and Nishi assured me that they will customize my outfit in a way that gives me room to grow without making me look bulky and the cut and style will make me look beautiful.. I trusted them and left my outfit in their capable hands. I placed my order on Dec 31, 2022 morning with delivery date of March 15, 2023 (in the middle of my 2nd trimester and the outfit was to be worn towards end of my 2nd trimester!) I was one nervous pregnant lady and kept following up on the progress of my outfit via emails (half expecting them not to respond timely as is the case usually with email communications). I was proven wrong, I always got a response within the next business day by Nishi herself. She was honest with me and informed me that she was not happy with the 1st cut of the dress and was reworking with her team. In my next email communication she sent me pics of my outfit in progress and I WAS IN LLLOOOVVEEEE with the embroidery, colors and look of my outfit and could not wait to try it on. Then March month came and my belly was starting to show and I was very nervous about fitting into my outfit. I half expected them to say delivery is delayed. But again, I was proven wrong! On March 14 I get informed that outfit is ready and asked me when I would like to try it on at the store. We set the date for March 16th. I went there with my family, I was nervous and excited and this was my first maternity outfit I was going to try !! Nishi and her team were ready for us and then the moment came for me to enter the trial room to see my outfit! I screamed "OMG!! It's so pretty!!" and after the associate helped me try it on I screamed "OMG!! I look like a princess!!" and both Nishi and my family could not wait for me step outside and show them my outfit.. It fell so beautifully on me (and my belly ) and the cut and make of the dress was perfect!! It had room for me to grow and still did not make me look bulky!! I could not stop twirling outside when I was showing off my outfit! All in all my experience with Sajda was GREAT!! I would recommend them to anyone!!
