I would give them 0 if I could.. so many things went wrong. Getting a run around about how long it was gonna take when the car was going to be ready.. Then I was told they would leave the keys under the Mat and I could come pick up the car after hours. My husband drives me down there and my car is not there it's still locked in there garage. We live in Parkville, because they were busy. It had to get sent to silver spring. when I got the car back. They didn't put the front tag on the car. And I drove around a couple days before. I realized that they didn't put the tag. Then I realized the bumper wasn't fitting properly. There was a gap. The staff told me because it's an aftermarket bumper. It will never fit properly. They'll always be a gap that my insurance. What it pay for the original bumper. As time has gone on the gap is getting worse. My husband tried to take the car back to get looked at. The manager tells me that we must have hit a snow bank. My car has not left my driveway. Because I had major surgery.. I cannot believe they would say that to me. I am not a mechanic but I don't know why the bumper never fit properly an overtime the gap is getting bigger. I don't understand why Marilyn collision. will not stand by their work. I will never use Maryland collision again. The silver spring location is absolutely horrible. read more

Excellent repairs and painting. Car was left very dirty inside, I'll have to take it for an interior detail. I would have given 5 stars but... 1 I was required to pay $500 up front (it was returned when I picked up the car). I was told the parts were expensive and they wanted to insure I would return to get the job done. The insurance company said it was wrong. 2 I called to check the completion date and the operator would not let me talk to the person handling the repairs. After some time, she told me the 26th. Five minutes later she called, on the 16th and said it was ready. A few minutes later she calls and asked when I would pick it up. 3 When I arrived, I had to wait until she got the paperwork together. Niko, the person who was handling the repairs was very informative and very helpful, when I spoke to him. I am very impressed by the quality of the work, I have recommended the to two friends. read more

The owner, Jim, personally assisted me with a door alignment problem on my Silverado truck. He got the door re-aligned to close perfectly, as if there was never a problem. I arrived without an appointment, only looking for an estimate. The problem was repaired on the spot, while I waited. This was my second visit to MCC, the first with my wife's Acura MDX. That work was more extensive, requiring body work and paint, but the results were again perfect. Absolutely the worst! They held my car for months with no work for a bump in the back right. Everytime I called they lied and said it would be done next week. The manager Jimmy would tell the admin and mechanics to lie for him and say he wasn't there or all mechanics were sick or having a baby. 4 months later I popped up to see my car. He took me in a basement to see it. There was an inch of dust, not touched (but remember supposed to be ready next week). Surrounded by cars with the same amount of dust. No mechanics around. I asked where the mechanic was and he said "how would I know" I said "because you are his boss and you assigned him to work on my car" he then left me in the basement and locked the door. After 30 mins I eventually go out because a mechanic came in on the other side. When I got upstairs all managers and staff were gone accept the receptionist. When I asked were they were the receptionist said the got in their cars and left. I later called and said I wanted my car and they said "No, we already started the work so according to insurance once we start it cant be moved" I then remembered all the cars with dust partially started and looked at the video I took while trapped in the basement; at least 20 cars. It seems the goal is to start the car as soon as possible so you are forced to keep your car there and they can take how ever long they want. After calling police, corporate state farm and FINALLY getting a good state farm rep on the phone we went with an officer and got it out. MCC would not release the car without full payment from state farm so they paid to get the car out. Worst place ever. Straight scammers. Update: new place had to redo MCCs work COMPLETELY. State farm adjustor was skeptical and sent 3 adjustors to confirm why it was being taken apart again and they were starting over. When shown each one agreed and they are now suing MCC for the original money paid to work on the car. apparently the work would have cause rot and rusting from being improperly installed also there was a part that was on backwards. read more

My wife and I found a small scratch on the left side of the bumper and rear panel of our newly purchased Honda Accord EX Hybrid and were crestfallen. Not wanting to use insurance, we were eager to find inexpensive options that would return our vehicle to its pristine new car status. Our search led us to Maryland Collision and welcomed as a walk-in clients after being referred by Sport Honda. We were greeted by one of the owners who assessed the damage. With a buff-out of the scratch and a few dabs of touch up paint we were on our way. What's unbelievable is that they refused to accept payment. They are very nice people, but, their process and expertise is inadequate. Listed below are the problems I experienced. - I was told that it would take a week to repair my car. It took approximately 10 days. - They didn't repair both dents on my car as indicated on the quotes. Therefore, I had to come back to the shop again. - They did not properly wire the mirror to include the anti-collision and camera backup features. I had to come back yet a third time. After getting there, I was told that they were unable to fix the problem even after they spoke with the dealership. Consequently, I then had to take the car to the dealership myself - a 4th visit. - I was told two conflicting quotes for a scratch repair. Ultimately, the supervisor's approach was best. - When trying to pay for the vehicle, I was informed that they do not take AMEX. The receptionist directed me to a sign that says something like we accept all credit cards and in very, very small print it states except American Express. Like I said, very nice people just a bad processes, miscommunication and in adequate expertise. read more

I hit a deer and called insurance (nationwide) to make a claim. Lady told me I am covered for that type of accident and she asked where I spend most of my time during the day, I said silver spring (I live 45 min from there) so she made an appointment at Maryland Collision center to inspect the damage. Took the car to Maryland Collision and I left the car there to get inspected. I go to work and I get a call from nationwide saying I am not covered for this type of accident, so I said well that sucks because I was told I was. I call MCC and tell them that I am not covered and they said they have already started to take the car apart. They said they would try and help me out and try to save money by getting aftermarket parts and could save the headlights by repairing them (they quoted just under $6,000). I told them put the car back together because I would like to shop around for better pricing and a shop closer to where I live. They said they couldn't so I was stuck getting my car fixed at their shop. My gripe is with the insurance company saying I am covered but then saying I am not, but I would think there would be some communication and confirmation between the insurance and the collision center but obviously there wasn't. My car was there close to a month and it was time to pick my car up. They called and said the ending price I owe was $7,500, I said what? I was quoted under $6,000. Long story short I ended up paying $1,500 more than quoted and this was after them telling me they would help me save money. Unfortunately that's not the end of it. A few days later when I was driving at night I noticed the lights were pointed straight into the ground. I tried adjusting them and the left headlight would adjust up and down but the right headlight would not adjust (the right headlight was replaced and the left was "repaired"). I took my car back to MCC to get the headlight fixed so it could be adjusted. I did a little research before taking the car to MCC and found that a ball and joint can pop off where the adjuster is for the headlight. I mentioned this to a guy at MCC and he tried to adjust the headlight but couldn't. He said I would have to buy another headlight (they charged $1,300 for a headlight for my car). I told him I am not buying a new headlight and I was on my way. I took matters into my own hands and decided I was going to try and fix the headlight. In order to get to the problem and reattaching the ball joint to the adjuster for the headlight I had to take the whole bumper cover off to slide the headlight out. It took me a few hours to do when it would have taken MCC 3 minutes to do while they had my car apart in the first place. After the light issue I haven't noticed any other problems. But having so many issues with this company it doesn't give me too much confidence with their work and business. Crossing my fingers no other problems come up. read more
