We weren't about to purchase phones we didn't want, since we'd only qualify for the promotional price for the phones once, so we left unsatisfied. Found a pay-phone and called our new landlord, who met us at the house. After a walkthrough of our new premises, after settling the cats in with litter-box and water, after hastily unloading the car, we took our exhausted selves off to find someplace open for dinner at 9:30 at night. The shopping mall a couple of blocks from our house had a bar/grill called "Shoeless Joe's" that was open; the bar was crowded, so we opted to eat in the quiet dining room.
