Although there are a few solid breakfast options in Rohnert Park/Cotati, Marvin's is becoming my favorite. They have a more at home, family atmosphere with lots of room to sit. This diner doesn't feel stuffy or uncomfortable as some other places do. The food is high quality and service is sweet and prompt. I ordered the eggs Benedict this morning and was pleased with the hollandaise sauce-- a dead giveaway of a good breakfast spot. There is also a lot of variety on the menu. Marvin's is hands down one of the best places in Sonoma County for breakfast. They are open for breakfast and lunch but I've only been for breakfast. They have a wide variety of food from your basic bacon and eggs to waffles, to chicken fried steak and eggs to some unique breakfast items such as breakfast enchiladas. All their menu items are delicious and you can't beat their fresh squeezed orange juice. I would recommend going early as they tend to get very crowded around the 9 am time frame. read more

It may have been a short-staff issue. The place was filled with locals so that was a good sign. I wanted the food to be good ... but ... it wasn't.. Marvins never disappoints. This is the only business that actually has table covers on the outside tables and they look good. They also have hand sanitizers at every table. They still feel homey. all the other business I've been to just how the plain white tables with the scratches but you can tell that Marvins owners really want to make it homey feeling even if it's outdoors. This place never disappoints. Good hearty meals and coffee! They serve breakfast all day and that is a plus in my book. Friendly waitstaff that were seriously hustling on a Sunday! I've been here tons of times but this is the longest I've ever waited for someone to take my order always a great breakfast here and the food usually comes out pretty fast. Service was super slow. Waiting at bar for 8 min now, there's only one other couple at the bar and all three waitresses walk by me for five times each now. My omelette was spot on! Lots of bacon, fresh Great hash browns! I've been here plenty of times but definitely the longest I've ever waited for someone to take my order. To top it off my waitress that delivered My breakfast Twomey walked by several times noticing that my napkin and all the silverware was sitting on the plate pushed away from me should begin to clear three or four tables before offering me my check she came by about 10 minutes later and said are you finished "hello" come on man! To finish on a good note, Even worse this time Not very busy still took 10-15 minutes to take my order My food sat up under the heat lamp for over 5 min. Wife ordered the French toast VERY BLAND! My Marvin scramble was ok. Here at Marvin's they have a large combination of different types of food. As soon as you walk in your greeted by your hostess who was more than sweet enough to get us a table in the back section. There were a lot of people there and a bit in the noisy side. Granted it is a Saturday We were given our menus and choices of drinks, we all ordered coffee and began to look through the menu. The wife and I were out for a midday drive when we came across Marvin's. We each had a burger to go...she had a traditional cheese burger and I opted for the French burger- ground beef patty on a French roll with cheese and caramelized onions. Her side was French fries and I got the house potato salad. These are what you'd call gourmet burgers and are priced accordingly. Total bill with drinks and tip was close to $40. Second, it is in Cotati which is a funky, earthly little town just south of Rohnert Park. I like their breakfast offerings and sometimes even their lunches. My family and I have always loved this place for breakfast. We have come here for years. The food has always been great. Recently though we have noticed. Especially my sons noticed that the hash browns have been thinner and cut smaller. It's happened twice. ????? Price increase with hash brown product made smaller was disappointing.
